Chapter-13 : A little glimpse of Sarah Past

"What I am gonna do now?" She asked me with eyes full of tears
Which made me come out of my thoughts
"I am so sorry Sarah. But don't worry my boyfriend live right? He will come here again to enquire about your voice recorder I promise" I told her feeling this would feel her better.
" it's the only thing left with me. How I can be so stupid?" she said and started crying.
Oh my god there she goes again. I hold her tight and caress her arm while she cries her heart out.
People passing by gave us weird looks.
I lost my patience and shouted "uneun yeojaleul bon jeog-i eobs-eo
" in Korean for them to understand.
meaning: never saw a woman crying before
"Wait, why don't we go and check in the park that we went to yesterday" I suggested.
She suddenly looked at me while wiping her tears
"Do you think we still can find it? "She asked me
" there's no wrong in trying. Now let's go" I told her and dragged her towards the taxi stand
On the way, I can still see her wiping her tears from time to time.
Only I know how hard her life was. When I met her in the marketing department I thought she was such a happy soul. I am a little jealous of her because she always laughs and is kind to everyone.
But after a week I came to know that she doesn't even have a stable place to stay that's the reason why she stays most of the time in the office.
That's how I and her end up staying together.we have a house in Singapore. the first thing my mom did after the success of our coffee shops was to buy a house in Singapore. Singapore was like our holiday spot.
It is very bad the way she came to know that her family passed away.
One day when we are having a meeting, she received a message and
I still remember her face, in an instant her eyes filled with tears and excused herself from the meeting. I could not follow her because being her assistant I have to continue the meeting going on, on her behalf.
As soon as the meeting ended I ran like a crazy pig towards the restrooms because I knew she would be there.
She looked like a total mess
"What happened?" I asked her
She didn't answer
"WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?" I shouted at her
She showed me the message
it's from her uncle informing her to come over because her family met with an accident and died.
what an awful way to inform someone that their parents were dead
Wait, she has a family? In our 3 months of being together, she never talked about her family.so I just thought she is an orphan.
"You have a family? " I asked her and she nodded in response
"You never told me about them?" I asked her
She couldn't my question because her chest was filled with sorrow
"We should go to Canada now" I told her.
next things happened in a flash:
We reached home, I packed everything, fortunately, there was a flight in the next 4 hours I booked a flight to Toronto immediately. While she was frozen. She even stopped crying. I thought that was good but it was the opposite. She didn't even say a single word. I wonder what's going on in her mind?
And in the next 4 hours, we are on our flight.
After 20 hours of travel, we reached Toronto.
During the whole journey, she sat silent, she didn't even eat or drink. To be frank she is very scary to watch.
As soon as the flight landed she started walking out. This idiot even forgot that I was with her.
I ran behind her with all the luggage.
We reached a house and I got down the cab and

The house is beautiful and biggggggg. God, she's rich.
"Is this your home?" I asked her
She nodded and we both went inside
I was shaken for three things
1. There were not just 2 coffins but there were of 5
2. There are many people, probably 50. Many brand new cars were parked outside the house. There must be well known around here.i searched up for her parents on the internet there are very good and know for their great charity work.Mrs.webley and her daughter-in-law give 100% of their salaries to the charity. What a great family. Till now their donated 134million dollars for the charity.
3. The instance we entered the house a man probably in initial 50 hugged her very hard which made her fall on to the ground
"How are you? we missed you. See, what happened to my sister and my brother in law" he said while crying
She restored herself and tried walking towards the coffins
" wait. Where are you going?" The same guy said
"I want to see them, uncle," she told him
Then he is her uncle.
"There was a very important thing you need to do before you meet your family" he said to her
"You know how they passed away?" He asked her
"They are on their way to the airport to meet you. all of them, including jay" he told her
wow such a caring uncle, then why she never mentioned them.
" their booked flight to come to Singapore for me?" She asked him
" Uncle, please let me see them first" she said while walking forward.
"No, Sarah there was one more important thing to do. People are waiting for you" he said and dragged her to another room with only a few people inside along with the lawyer.
I followed her back. I am gonna never leave her side.
"Hi Sarah, come take a seat" the lawyer said.
If you are wondering how I know he is the lawyer. Lawyers do have a particular uniform you know?
" Could you all leave the room. I would like to talk to her in private"The lawyer said.
I looked at her and she nodded taking that as a signal I left the room.
"Did she come here?" Some women asked
" sister please be patient. She is talking to the lawyer" he told her
"If the Will didn't change at the last minute.i would have never called her over" he added
wait, what happened to the good guy?
"Why Mr.Webley changed the Will at the last minute before going to the airport" she asked him
woww, this bitch was on the same level too.
" Don't forget if Sarah didn't sign the papers. we cannot live in this house and cannot enjoy all the luxurious like before" she added
"But Brother until now we lived happily without working because of Mr.Webley. but if Sarah didn't sign the papers what will happen to us" she said
So this dumb ass is uncle and that bitch is aunt to Sarah
After 2 hours The lawyer called us back
"I will come straight to the point. I will simplify the Will of all the members of the Webley family for you people because I don't want to go on details with you. The Will clearly says the whole decision of the property will be in the hands of children of Mr.webley that is Ashton and Sarah together. In case of the death of both the children, it would then transfer to Joseph and Monica that is you both." he said and pointed towards that's bitch and bastard and continued to talk.
" But as Ashton was unfortunately no more and Sarah was the only one alive. Now the whole decision of property will be in the hands of Sarah" he paused for a moment and continued.
"After talking to Sarah and according to the last Will of late Mr and Mrs Webley and his son Late Ashton and his wife late Rachel" the lawyer said
"All the property of the Webley family will be transferred to Sarah as she wished and according to the Will of late Rachel, the property owned by her would go to her children. In the case of no children "lawyer was still talking
At this point, I can see that the fuse of both of that bitch and bastard was blown up.
" In case of no children, the property would belong half to her family and a half to Mr. Webley family, the only person in the Webley family left that is Sarah" lawyer said
"Sarah now sign the papers" the lawyer added
" wait what about us?" her uncle asked
"Mr.Joseph, you people don't belong to the Webley family because Mrs.webley is your sister. Before her marriage, she was in your family but after marriage, she is Webley family member" lawyer explained
"But Mr.webley didn't leave anything for us? The women asked.
"Wait a minute" he said and reviewed the papers.
And spoke up
"Yes he did, in case one of his or both of the children are alive. A few properties are left for Joseph and Monica. But the final decision will be on Sarah as per the Will "
I saw a huge smile on her uncle and aunts face
"And she chose not to give you people any rights of property" The lawyer continued to talk.
Whatttttttttt? Sarah chose not to give any of her property. I always know her as a kind person, the person who doesn't fall for money. I didn't understand why she did that?
"And you can't live in this house anymore .you have to find your ways. Sarah decided to sell this house " the lawyer added
"This is what you do for us little?" Her aunt said
Sarah was silent all the time. from her face, I can say that she is thinking something and it's bothering her.
" calm down everyone. Sarah, please sign the papers" the lawyer said.
"No, then what about us?" his uncle asked
"You are humans too, you should know how to live. Till now you people lived by using Mr.webley innocence." The lawyer said
"Don't waste my time. I am not free like you people. Sarah please sign the papers and go to pay your tribute to your family" The lawyer said and caressed Sarah's cheeks.
Wow, the lawyer must know about her uncle and aunt well. After listening to everything it's a good thing that she didn't give any of the property to her uncles and aunt.
"One more thing, This was mentioned In Mrs.Webley Will that you will receive her and Mr.webley handwritten personal dairies" he said and showed towards two boxes.
"and the last one, Sarah gets to keep the wedding ring of Mrs.Webley" he said and gave the ring to her.
"seriously?? I get to keep the dairies and my mom's ring really?" she asked him if I can see the smile and happiness on her face. which I didn't see before when the lawyer mentioned the property.
"yes, dear" the lawyer said and patted her head
"Take care of yourself, at least you live for yourself.you father never listened to me. At least you listen to me. If these people do anything to you, please just inform me. I know how to clear this trash" the lawyer said and left the room. Sarah and I woke up to pay tribute to her family.but these foxes won't it let be.
The next moment her aunt slapped her hard which made her fall on to the ground.

how people can change because of money. I thought these are very good people. But I was completely wrong.
it took me a few seconds to realize what happened.
"This is what you do for us? After we have done a lot to your mother? how do you think we're gonna live now you little devil?" Her aunt said and came forward to hit her again.
This is the queue I know that I should protect her.
" one more hit on her I will call the police. she didn't do any wrong.it's her wish what she wanna do with the property" I told them
"Sarah let's go and pay tribute to your family" I said and dragged her out from the room.
"Wait, she cannot go inside. my sister doesn't want a creep like you to pay tribute to her " her aunt said.
This bitch is getting on my nerves.
" please aunt Michelle. Please let me" Sarah started pleading them.
"It was you who killed them. you never let them live in peace. It's because of you why my sister cried .i still wonder how a bitch like you can be born to such a nice people" her aunt told her
I wanted to say that like how she was born to her mother. but I kept silent because I don't want to worsen the situation.
"I thought she would be at peace after she kicked you out of the house. But I don't know, what the hell did you do that made them start immediately to Singapore" he told her
She was kicked out of the house. But why???
I don't know what Sarah did that made her family throw her out of the house. but I have a strong feeling that it was not Sarah's fault.
"The reason we called you is because of the Will. But I couldn't believe that you could do that to us" her uncle said
I still can't believe that the whole reason they called her over to Canada just to sign the papers of the property. They might have thought that Sarah would give them everything. Because she was never a person greedy for money. This news would really have shaken them up.
"Please uncle let meeeee" she said while crying her heart out.
" don't create a scene here Sarah. Many people came to pay tribute to your family" he said and came near, if he's gonna hit her then I would show who I am.
" These are the same people in front of whom your family got ashamed of because of you. If they see you again they will remember everything that happened 1 year back and instead of talking good about your parents. They will talk about how bad, you were their daughter. You wanted that?" her uncle asked her
she nodded as no
"then leave right now? if you really respect them at least one per cent just leave this place. please leave this place Sarah" her uncle said while dragging her outside the house.
"At least let me look at them from the far?" she asked out of hope.
but she was too late he already dragged her out and continued to drag her far from the home and left back to the house.
"wait, the dairies ?" she said while crying
"I will get them, you wait here," I said and let her sit on the road pavement.
"That crazy bitch, what are we gonna do now?" her uncle said to his sister
"it's good that you never let her see her family. How dare she deny marrying my son? now she dragged everything from us" her aunt said
"Our great plan of marrying your son to her and get half of the property was also failed because of that crazy bitch." her uncle said.
"That's why we booked her in front of everyone and made her get out of the house. but I never thought this would turn this way" her aunt said
this bitch I am gonna kill her. I know this was never her fault.
"Let's plan something later. now put on a sad face and let this shit completes" her uncle said and walked away.
Wow, such a bitch and bastards this person. I saw many people but never saw such bitches before. I thought at least they loved her sister but no, there just acted love for the property.
I took two boxes woohoo there are heavy. I took them and started walking towards her while shaking one side to another and I cannot see my front because the boxes are heavy and bigg.
when I reached her, she was a crying mess.
then I promised myself I would take care of her and never leave her.
And from that day till now I never saw her laughing.
