"Uh-... There's only one bed..?" Said Bonnie.
"I'm aware," Acelen said slowly nodding his head in confusion. He thought that was simple knowledge and didn't know why Bonnie had seemed to be so bewildered about it.
"You're AWARE!?" said Bonnie as she slightly yelled.
"Yes, I am. I'm very aware since this used to be my old room," said Acelen slowly as his confusion brewed.
"Your old to-... Where am I to sleep?!" she questioned while raising her tone even higher.
"In the bed? Like normal...people...do?"
"Eh- where are you made to sleep?" asked a worried Bonnie.
"Is there some weird 'rule' I don't know about that forbids a human to sleep in an expensive bed? I'm not understanding here...?" Mumbled Acelen.
"I'm to sleep in the same bed," Acelen said as he composed his thoughts.
Bonnie felt as if she was going to faint. Her face was flushed red at Acelen's shocking words. They were made to sleep in the same bed for 3 days!? This is madness. Bonnie thought about how she couldn't last even 10 minutes next to that unruly monster.
Acelen was contemplating her reaction and analyzing her movements. She seemed to be lost in her thoughts. He was trying to understand why she was so shocked about such simple news.
Maybe, she was allergic to the covering used, although that's highly unlikely.
Or maybe she saw something disturbing or deemed something unfitting to her appeal.
Or maybe... she'd rather sleep in a bed accompanied by my brother rather than me..?
As that last thought of his kept replaying in his head like a broken record stuck on replay, it started to make more and more sense to him. Even though, he was completely incorrect.
Fuming and misunderstanding, he turned his attention to Bonnie as she still gawked at him because he was acting so nonchalantly about sharing beds.
"Ah, is it that you'd rather not sleep in a bed with me, but in a bed with my brother?" Acelen asked.
That was enough to take Bonnie's attention away from the thoughts of his nonchalance as her mouth slowly parted from the realization of his words. Confusion was written all over his face as she stood staring at him.
"...What? Acelen what are you saying?" asked a genuinely confused Bonnie.
"So it's true? He baffled you so much so? " He grunted as he went on. "I could kill him, honestly," He said out of annoyance. He didn't mean his words.... or maybe he did.
Bonnie stared at Acelen as if he'd just gone mad"What?! No, it's not true! I just met him! You're crazy in the head I swear." Yelled Bonnie
"Crazy?" He mumbled as he scoffed aloud. His thoughts finally cleared up as her words brought him back to reality. 'Have I actually gone crazy? What was I thinking just now?
Acelen's eyes widened for a short while but then narrowed back down just as fast. He had a look as if he was suspicious of her words. His rose his head as if to look down on her slightly.
"So in terms of that not being the case... why are you so shocked?" he turned his head slightly to the side in curiosity. It seemed as if he had gone back to the 'normal' Acelen that he was to be.
Bonnie, who was nervous as usual, just stared at him with widened eyes. She didn't want him to get the wrong idea-- but she didn't want him to get the.... right..... idea? In a way? She wanted to tell him just to forget it, but she knew he wouldn't just leave it as that.
"I was shocked because... there's only one bed. I've never shared a bed let alone a room with anyone of the opposite gender in the orphanage. It was forbidden."
Acelen stared at Bonnie to determine whether or not she was being truthful. As he did so, Bonnie was wondering what he could be possibly thinking. Truth is, nothing. He was thinking about nothing. Just staring and it was driving Bonnie Mad.
Acelen smirked as the next words left his lips. His canines glimmered in the light of day as he did so.
"I guess that's going to change tonight. We'll have to do this more often considering the fact that this is your first time ever sharing a bed with the opposite gender."
Bonnie covered her face as it flushed red at the speed of light. How could he be so shameless! This is unruly I can't-
A loud knock came upon the door and interrupted her thoughts. The person on the other end of the door spoke with caution clear in their voice.
"Young master... Permission to enter?" They carefully asked. It was as if an invisible line was drawn between Acelen and the person behind the door. It made her suddenly wonder if Acelen had drawn a line between him and herself as well.
"Granted." said Acelen.
The tall door creaked open and the old shaky butler from before entered. His head was bowed as he spoke.
"Dinner preparations have been corrected and dinner has been served. Please let me escort you to the dining room."
"No need to escort. We'll be there soon."
"As you wish." And with that, the old butler left quickly.
I looked back at Acelen and wondered what he could've done to that man. He walked after the man had left, towards the door. Afterward, Acelen held out his hand and spoke.
"Let us go to dinner."
