"Are you sure about what you said right now? "She asked as she was still in a shock

"Yes, I am why would I joke about this?" I replied looking at her. Her face was really telling that she was in a great shock

"Why are you so shocked after listening to this?" I asked and shook her a few times as she seemed like a wooden being.

"How... I mean what happened between you that ended up with a kiss? Who took the initiative? Where you kissed, I mean... lip kiss or cheek kiss? Well both the kisses are fine but what happened between you and him? Or you just dreamed about the kiss?" she bombarded a lot of questions at the same time after she came out of the shock.

"I promise I will answer your every question just return back to work it's already time to start work," I said and pointed my three fingers upwards showing my action of sincerity.

She finally agreed to let go of the topic and returned back to her work before giving me a devilish look. She was really a notorious person and was really I just smiled sheepily. I was relieved and went back to the locker room to complete my incomplete work. I could see those two men staring at me with a questioning look and they for sure had many questions about what happened a few minutes ago. But I just ignored them as I didn't care really what they thought because whatever they thought it wasn't true.

After I locked my locker I went outside to arrange the book stack which was just waiting for me to be handled and stacked on the shelves. There were dozens of books lying on the table, I started stacking them on the shelves one by one as they were supposed to be and went to the desk to collect the rest of the books which were to be placed in the shelf too. I stood near the desk as I waited for Krystal to give me the books but she was busy with a person who was asking about some books so I waited for a while to get free. I waited there for a few minutes and when the guy turned back to leave I realized he was Eddie and as soon as he saw me he smiled towards me and said, "Hello mason! How are you doing?"

"I am doing good, what about you?" I said as I smiled back towards him I didn't mind talking to Eddie as I was fine with him after Krystal explained to me. He continued speaking, "Mason actually I have a favor to ask. I was going to call you during your lunch break but we met now; so can I talk to you for a while?"

"Yes you can, but I have to stack these books it will just take me 15 minutes cam you wait?" I answered as I pointed towards the book Krystal shifted towards me while we were talking.

"Yes, I will wait. I will be sitting there." He said took out his finger and placed it in the direction of the nearest seat to us. I nodded and he walked towards his seat. As soon as he left Krystal looked at me and said, "Is he Eddie?" and looked at me with a questionable look

"Yes he is," I said while picking up the books from the desk

"Well; he is quite smart from what I thought about him." She again spoke looking at the seat where Eddie was sitting and smirked

"He is a good person too, if you want me to talk to him about you I will do that favor for you," I replied and smiled looking at Krystal who turned towards my side after listening to that

"No... no... I'm not interested in him I was just saying; I really have different taste for boyfriends then him." She said as she waved her hands in front of me in disagreement.

"Then why are you saying that he is smart?" I said and chuckled on her action

"Haven't I ever complimented you that you are smart and handsome?" She spoke and raised her eyebrow, "I'm just saying that he is smart than my expectation, I haven't said that I like him." She continued

"Ok... ok... I understand" I said and went away to arrange the books as Eddie was waiting for me.

I stuffed the books as they were supposed to be and went to the seat where he was waiting for me. I went close to him when I notice that he was looking at some venues on the phone. I didn't peek any further and sat near him which startled him as he flinched when I spoke, "I'm here." Maybe he was too indulged searching whatever he was looking for.

"Oh...it's you." He said and looked towards me shutting his phone and placing it aside

"Didn't you go to work today?" I asked

"No didn't Jacob tell you that we will take a holiday today. Our boss arranged the other two workers on duty today." He replied

"Oh... now, you can tell me what you wanted to talk?" I went straight to the point as it was my work hour and if anyone caught me talking to someone they would for sure make a complaint about it.

"Actually... Actually." He said hesitantly rubbing his neck he looked down and continued, "I am... I am..." he then paused and took a deep breath and again tried to speak what he was trying to speak from the past 2 minutes.

"I am planning to propose Jacob." He said in a single n=breath and my heart almost dropped hearing his word my eyes widened and I asked him "wh... what?"

He lifted his head and again spoke those words, "I'm planning to propose Jacob." He said in a calmed voice and smiled a bit.

"Ok" I said as I didn't have anything else to say that as it came out of the blue; I never imagined that to happen. And it didn't even take seconds, and my memories started flashing back in my head of our kiss we had just a day ago. And that was the moment when I realized it was all a dream which was supposed to end; there was no way it could be real as I wasn't compatible to him as much as Eddie was and there was no way that he would choose me over him as he was with him at the time I didn't know he even existed. I was feeling very sad but I waited for him to say further

"Yes, so I was asking if you could help me with that?" he said looking at me with innocent eyes as he really wanted my help

"And how could I do that?" I asked as I was surprised that why would he need my help to do that as he knew Jacob more than me

"I wanted to tell you that; I will be going to propose Jacob tomorrow as we first met on that date and I wanted it to be special so I wanted your help with this."

I nodded my head in agreement and asked him to proceed further

"I wanted that... can you please pretend that you have some work and can you tell Jacob to leave home so that he asks me to accompany him because I don't know how to ask him to meet me as tomorrow is Sunday and he won't come out of the house without any reason," he said and I agreed with it because he was really not a person who will go out without any work as he prefers to rest in the house on weekends

"But how will I do that?" I asked him as it was really hard to do that and if I say something to would turn out rude too.

"Just ask him that you want to invite your girlfriend at home, and you don't want him to interrupt him." He said as if it was something very easy, but it wasn't easy for me as he already knew that I like him and why would he believe that I have a girlfriend

"Isn't it a bit rude? and I don't have a girlfriend." I said

"No he will understand your privacy. Just bring any of your friend and say that she is your girlfriend, I am sure." He replied

I gave it a thought and then decided and agreed to do that because I wasn't sure if he had the same feeling for me and I didn't want to push my feelings on him and there was a way that he had feelings for Eddie. He was finally done talking and after he finished with his work he said me a bye after passing me a smile but he didn't know that what he just told me really broke my heart as he was asking me to give him the person I love and there was a pure chance that they will be together after that.
