Cheating the System

The Horned Statue, dubbed by the citizens for its horn. A mysterious statue situated near the Myahm Agana shrine, it holds the bags of life and power.

With a glitch, I can max my stats.

"Link, what's that?" (Shronia)

Shronia seems a little troubled, ever since we got closer to the statue she began to tremble and quiver. Standing just a few feet before it, she grasps my arm tightly.

"Something that may help me become stronger" (Link)

As we neared the statue, Shronia stopped in place. Her skin is ice cold and she is breathing rapidly, she looked at me like a frightened child.

"We'll be fine, I promise" (Link)

She nodded and calmed down. Why is she frightened of the statue?

With just a foot of distance separating us I heard a booming voice.

"Ahhhh... So there are some who still pay me homage" (Horned Statue)

I listened to its long dialogue, long story short, the statue was once a person, the person dealt with life and power, the Goddess Hylia took notice and sealed said person in the statue.

"Now then shall we strike a bargain?" (Horned Statue)

Without warning something pink came out of me and was absorbed into the statue. 4 of my maximum health points vanished.

Just when I was going to exchange all my stats into essence I remembered something, I need to be able to save in order for this glitch to work. I looked for it a multitude of times, there isn't a save feature in the Sheikah Slate.

Is this it? Is the glitch impossible in this world?

I sat down to think about my current situation.

"Are you okay?" (Shronia)

"I just need to think" (Link)

There's another duplication glitch but I'll need more multishot bows. I scrolled through the Sheikah Slate, in the important items tab were the 2 Spirit Orbs.

I wonder?

I took the Spirit Orb and presented it to the Horned Statue.

"What is this?" (Horned Statue)

"It's a Spirit Orb, I exchange this with the Goddess for life and power" (Link)

"That old hag, she's trying to run me out of business. Here, give that to me, I'll give you life and power instead" (Horned Statue)

"Here you go" (Link)

The statue sucked a Spirit Orb.

"It seems weaker" (Horned Statue)

"The Goddess seems to make do, it shouldn't be a problem with you. RIght?" (Link)

I hope bluffing and aggravating it will work.

"If she can do it, then so can I!" (Horned Statue)

"Give me a heart container" (Link)

"Good business" (Horned Statue)

My health increased by 4. I jumped in joy, it actually worked.

"Link?" (Shronia)

"Calm down, your life only increased by 4" (Horned Statue)

I exchanged the other Spirit Orb and the rest of the essence into health.

"Come back for more deals" (Horned Statue)

I might get in trouble with my next stunt but it's worth a try.

We entered the nearby church and I prayed to the Goddess.

'Goddess Hylia, may you revert my life back into Spirit Orbs' (Link)

There is no option for this in the game, but just maybe.

'If that is your wish, I shall grant it' (Goddess Hylia)

In total, I received 28 Spirit Orbs from the Goddess. I grinned to the point that Shronia was concerned for my mental state. Leaving the church we went back to the Horned Statue and exchanged the Spirit Orbs for health. After maxing my health out, I had 1 remaining Spirit Orb. I exchanged that for a stamina vessel. Going back to the church I exchanged all my stats into Spirit Orbs.

"Link, why are we going back and forth?" (Shronia)

"You'll see" (Link)

The transaction gave me 112 Spirit Orbs. I have more than enough to max both my stats.

Now let's see if Shronia can do the same. She can't talk to the Horned Statue, only the Hero can speak with it. Maybe I could use myself as a medium and exchange the Spirit Orbs for her.

Kneeling before the statue I spoke with it.

"My friend is unable to converse with you, may I exchange the orbs for life and power in her steed" (Link)

"That won't work, when I took the Spirit Orb it felt very similar to your essence. I can exchange her essence only" (Horned Statue)

I see.

"Shronia, do you want to exchange any of your health into stamina vessels?" (Link)

"Is that possible?" (Shronia)

"The Horned Statue allows it" (Link)

She thought about it for a second.

"I'm okay" (Shronia)

After that, we entered the nearest adventurer's guild.

"I want to see my health and stamina?" (Link)

"Sure, that will be 50 rupees" (Receptionist)

I handed him the money.

"Come on back" (Receptionist)

He lead us to the back, there is a pedestal similar to the one used in Outskirt. After poking my finger, the paper printed out shortly.

"Here you go" (Receptionist)

I took the paper and showed it to Shronia. I was expecting a bigger impression.

"As expected, your health and stamina are far beyond normal people" (Shronia)

"Aren't you surprised?" (Link)

"Not anymore, with you around, surprises are a norm" (Shronia)

I was a little disappointed, I was expecting her to have a shocked face.

Leaving the guild we booked an inn, tomorrow we shall climb Mount Lanayru.
