It was a bummer knowing that I don't speak Greek, and I was considering on asking the grumpy demigod who had his eyes close after he had brought us here, he went straight to sit and close his eyes. He didn't even bother on telling me why we are here.
Or why he was so persistent on taking me here and didn't even bother on telling me the reason. Besides, I was not ready to be scolded by him. Adriel is one mysterious man. First, he acted as he had cared, and the next day he was like you never existed.
I wish he had opened up to me more about himself, and I wanted to help him. But he was not letting me.
So instead of asking him about it, I decided to circle the whole place, the whole place was a bit boring since it was a bit different with what we had seen, the only sore eye thing in the room was the large table which didn't bother on giving the place a chair.
I was walking to Adriel's space and see that it was glowing on the table, it was glowing red, and I was a bit amazed at what I had seen.
It was hit name that was encrusted in the table, as I walk closer to him I was read to touch the craving of his name when his eyes snap opened and grab my hands, his eyes bore into mine, and I look at him, my heart was pounding, and I was starting to feel hot under his gaze.
"What are you doing?" I jump at him resonate the whole place, he was awake, and it didn't look like he was happy.
"I just wanted to touch the carving of your name," As I pointed the craving and he gazes to the craving of his name as he sighs and silently mutters incoherent words.
He had said something, and I looked at him and my eyebrows furrow.
"What?" I asked him.
"I didn't know that it was there… I was not paying attention, and I didn't want you to touch it," he said quietly, "I didn't know it could do that."
He was also staring at the blazing red craving of his name, he started to touch the carving of his name, and he was smiling.
"Is this your first time seeing this, I bet this is usual for you, let me live will you…" I said stubbornly as I try to touch the craving.
"I don't…" I looked back at him as his eyes were looking down fiddling with his fingers.
"What?"
"I've never been here," He said," This is the first time I've been here. I'm not even sure the table existed."
"But… you know where the place is…"
Looking at him, I was dumbfounded. I was ready to hear his insults and arrogant self, his words telling me I'm childish, and I was ready to insult him back since that's what he likes to do but seeing him so sad made my heart hurt, why was I feeling this way? He looked at the craving and was slowly reaching for it as he touches it, he was smiling, and he let out a huff.
I thought my eyes were deceiving me. I haven't really seen him smile, it was nice.
I wanted to ask him, his story I want him to tell me what and why he was like this, I had a feeling where I want him, to understand him. I don't know why I'm feeling like this.
I was going to ask him before he had beat me to it.
"Before you start asking, I've read about this place countless of times, I've never been here is because the one I'm Hades' son, two they fear me and three that man who is fighting for my friend's life is annoying." I couldn't help to blink at him.
Was he serious? I would have to ask more about the first and second reason. But right now I'm interested in the third reason.
It seems like his hatred for the other demigod was really strong, whatever Raymond did to piss Adriel off seems to be a big deal for someone to hold a grudge for so long.
"What's up with you with that demigod, you seem to hate his gut, and all and please don't tell me you're still salty about him trashing your place."
He looks at me weirdly, and then I realise, I don't think he knows what the word means.
"Salty means when you're –"
"I know what Salty means!" he hisses and I looked at him, I was busy laughing as he rolls his eyes as he straightens his posture from his slouching state and stared at me as he begins to talk again.
"Remind me to kick Dex's ass when we get back, and he's up running, how dare he decided that I'm 'salty', where did the humans even find the word 'salty',' he started, "I'm not petty."
He started again, "There are other reasons why I don't like that demigod," he hissed.
"If it weren't for that unknown we wouldn't have Hoseok lying on his death bed like this and we can return you home quickly.
I was taken aback, I didn't know that someone can hurt someone's feelings like that, it didn't look like he was actually mean, but it did hurt.
"Then tell me why you hate him so much! You would rather jump into a pit of fire than go sit beside him, hell you were ready to risk Dex's life like this."
He glared at me, "First of all, of course, I would gladly sit in the pits of fire. I don't burn, I would really smack his head if he weren't close to killing me himself.
"Second it's my problem, li you want to know."
I was ready to retort back to him before a voice speaks up.
"She's not the only one who wants to know why you hate my guts," their outcome the man himself with two other familiar demigods.
I stagger back into Adriel's side as the demigod who I had learned his name was now staring at my soul, and he was trying to observe me, study me.
