'Escalation 3! HEAT DEATH!' Claudia said, stomping her feet down as a pulse of heat exploded outward from her body. Then, it was stopped short and she collapsed onto the ground, out of breath and forehead glistening with sweat.

Keeno poked his head from behind a piece of rock as he formed himself into one of the more heat resistant creatures.

'Shit.' Claudia said, 'I just can't...the amount of heat output that you are suggesting...I just can't get that hot...'

'That's odd...' Keeno rubbed his claws against his hairy chin and dropped down into a resting stance behind the piece of rock as his brain jumped from one idea to the next inside his tiny body, 'From my calculations...you should have been able to do so much more...'

'I told you, I can't!' Claudia cursed, 'FUCK!'

'Then perhaps we should...' Keeno said, suggesting a break before Claudia threw her hand up and stopped him.
