Chapter 3 - The Police Chief

As the doctor and the police officer came in, Diane locked eyes with the police officer with the police officer glaring daggers her, she immediately looks away

The police officer looked at her up and down with a frown

"I need to ask some questions" The police officer said

"Chief Gus I think that would be a bad idea, the patient still needs to rest" The doctor said

"I don't give a damn! This is a big case, We need her testimony right now!" The police chief said

"It's fine I can answer some questions" Diane said

"See you heard her" The police chief said to the Doctor

At this point Diane knew telling the truth would only get her into more the trouble, there hadn't been anyone yet in the world with a power similar to a system until she appeared

"Alright young miss, Some people say you were being chased by the apprehended villain, why was that?" The police chief said

"I don't know, He said something being a powerless" Diane said

"I see I see, now some people saw you beating up the villain, how were able to fight him despite being a so called 'powerless'?" The police officer added

"I thought I was going to die at that point, I might as well die fighting" Diane replied

"I myself was surprised that he didn't fight back" Diane continued

"Ok ok, I think that's plenty enough, Thanks for answering the questions" The police chief said

As the police chief leaves the Doctor updates Diane's mom on her situation

"I think she would need to stay in the hospital for 2 weeks" The doctor said

"I think that's understandable" Diane's mom said

Diane didn't realized that she got this much injuries from her fight,

"I should look more into my power once I'm out the hospital" she think to herself

as the doctor and her mom talk about her condition she starts to drift to sleep and only waking up the next day.

As Diane wakes up, she thinks to herself that maybe this is the time to tell her mom the truth about her bullying

"Mom" Diane meekly said

"Yes Honey?" Her mom replied

"You know how I told you for all these years that I don't like going to school, well that was because I was being bullied" Diane said

"Oh Honey! I'm sorry that I didn't notice that you were suffering through all these years, You don't have to go to school anymore" Diane's mom said

Finally Diane burst out crying making her mom cry as well

"Mom, I'm sorry the I kept it a secret for all this time" Diane said while crying

"I'm sorry for not noticing all this time, I promise I'll do better" her mom said

They spent the rest of the evening crying and thinking of the good times and promising each other that they will live a more happy life

A few weeks later Diane is now released from the hospital and now is getting home schooled
