Chapter 3 - Club Search

It's the second day of school and it was the day that the Trio would go look for a club

Leo came back from the bathroom to see Diane sleeping on her desk "Hey wake up" He says as he nudge Diane awake, "I'm surprised the teacher didn't catch you sleeping"

"Do you even listen to class?" questioned Luna

"Says the airhead" Leo said to Luna

"At least I still listen" Luna replied

Diane giggled to the two bantering and the whole interaction made her wide awake, she stopped giggling and asked a question "How do you guys even know each other"

"We always, somehow have classes together, Luna approached me first and asked we wanted to have lunch together" said Leo

"Yeah you were a loner, I pitied you" Luna added

"tsk" Leo clicked his tongue and looked away "we should really start going" he added

Luna and Diane laughed, stood up and went on their way

When they enter the room, there was boy with long black hair covering one of his eyes, it looks like he's painting something

"Hi, it looks like this is the ar----" Leo got cut off when a girl covered with paint appeared out of nowhere in front of them

"Hey! Welcome to the art club, my name's Sophie, are you here to join?" Sophie says with an enthusiastic look

"No, we're just here to look around" says Diane

"Oh, well if you ever change your mind, you're more than welcome to join" says Sophie

"That's Reiss, he doesn't like talking to people but he's a good guy, it's the two of us for now but it's still the start of school" she continued

Diane glanced into the room and see's a trophy "Whats that?"

"Oh that, that's from whens the last time we won a club battle but ever since the student from the school council has been replaced we've always been in the losing side" said Sophie

"The student council? I've been hearing about them, why are they so infamous?" said Diane

"Well... the student counc----" an explosion from the room beside them cuts off Sophie, The Trio and Sophie head over right away, they opened the door and see's 3 people wearing lab coats covered in a black substance

"Are you guys okay?" said Sophie with a concerning tone

"Yeah, we're fine just a failed experiment" one of them said

"We're the science club, I'm Demeter, I'm the club president" Demeter introduced himself as he dust the black substance off himself

"This is Petra, say hi" Demeter introduced the girl with white wings to his left

"Hi, I'm Petra, as you can see I have wings, its kinda special as nothing sticks to it" Petra introduce herself

"This is Quint, he's kinda shy but he likes to help people" Demeter introduced the boy to his right

"Hi" timidly said Quint

"What are you guys experimenting on anyways?" asked Leo

"Well, it's for the next club battle, our powers are not that useful, so we figured if we somehow can create something we could put in use" said Petra

"Yeah we plan to at least fight back in this years club battle" said Demeter

"I'll leave you guys to chat, I'm going back to our club room" said Sophie

The 3 science club members started cleaning their mess to continue their research further

"Here let me help" said Diane

Diane started to help clean the place, Leo and Luna soon helped as well

"What are club battles anyway?" asked Diane

"In the past it was a just a friendly competition, it was either a 3 v 3 or 1 v 1 depending on which the two clubs agreed on" Demeter said

"It was all fine until the current council members appeared, they weren't the council back then, in the past they were just a group of cocky students, They stared by effortlessly defeating everyone, they challenged the other clubs on a 3v3 but they would only have one guy defeat everyone, they seemed really cocky so no one disagreed to their conditions"

"When they won the competition by defeating everyone without a single scratch on them they we're declared to be the next student council and they imposed a rule 'the club that win will have absolute authority over everyone that lost', everyone felt bitter and tried to take back the top spot but time and time again they've been defeated"

"I thought we'd at least try this year instead of them letting us got stomped on" Demeter told the story of the club battles, Diane could tell it was painful for them, they had bitter faces as Demeter told the story

"The student council has been treating everyone as slaves, they give us almost impossible demands and get angry when we mess up, they get high grades and have a lot of money, the only people that like them are the teachers cause not only do they give donations to the school but they also give publicity to the school" added Leo

"They don't even have to go to their classes, despite this they always get perfect marks on everything" Luna further added

They finished cleaning up and the science club members thanked them for helping them clean, Diane, Leo and Luna went on their way to look for more clubs

"Next up for today, why not go to the theater club" said Leo

"Yeah, they give great plays and I have this huge crush on the president" said Luna

They started walking and chatting some more, Diane was talking to Luna about more of the school, Diane was paying attention to the path they walked and was blocked by a tall figure

He had red slick backed hair and he wasn't wearing the proper uniform, he looked like a textbook delinquent, Diane said sorry for blocking his way and tried to get past him but the delinquent kept blocking his way

Diane looked up at him and he had a smirk on his face, he opened his mouth to say something

"Even though it's just your second day, we've heard a lot about you"

"Wanna join the student council?" he said with a smirk on his face
