Chapter 7 - Poison

"Guys I don't feel so good" said Luna as she hunched over clenching her stomach

Diane and Leo rushed over to her, their face were filled with worry. As Leo and Diane tended to Luna, Glen tried to slither away while trying to hide a sinister smile. He almost got away until Leo saw him.

Leo rushed over to Glen and grabbed him by his collar "You did something didn't you!"

Glen exploded into a maniacal laughter "I had to do it, it was you or me, the council is everywhere I couldn't disobey them"

"What did you do!?" Leo shouted as he lifted up Glen off of the floor and slammed him on the wall knocking the wind out of Glen for a second

"I laced a slow acting poison in the drinks I gave you last time we met" Glen said as sweat drips of him

"The antidote where is it!?" Leo shouted

"There isn't one, She wont die but she will suffer" said Glen

Leo clenched his fist and was ready to punch Glen, Glen flinched, his face was filled with horror, getting hurt is his worst fear. Leo noticed this and let go of Glen by throwing him on the ground, Glen didn't even wait to gain his composure back, he scurried off in a hurry, he couldn't stay there longer.

Leo looked back to Luna and Diane "I'm fine Leo, I just need time" Luna said with pained look on her face "I'll take some medicine and I'll be good as new" she said as she let out an awkward smile

Leo supported Luna as they head over to the nurse's office, leaving Diane alone to watch the ongoing battle

"That's strike from Bo was exceptional but it's only him left with the two others from the chess club. The strategy from the chess club is truly amazing, being able to defeat two members of the soccer club is a great feat" said the announcer Marie

"Will Bo be able to turn this around its a 2 v 1 and it looks like he's exhausted, What's this? Bo has restrained the two of them with stone cages, will Bo get the win?"

Bo summoned a huge stone wall behind the two of them making the two surrender

"Bo has done it, he's won an almost impossible fight"

Bo returns to his team mates cheering for him and generally having a good time

"For the next match we have the volleyball and the basketball club, this is going to be one hell of a match"

The two clubs walked on to the middle of the arena and was met by a referee and they've talked for a while, the referee gestured something to the announcer and Marie nodded in agreement

"The teams have reached a conclusion that they'll fight with the 1 v 1 rule set"

The rest of the team left and one person stood on each side

"The first representatives would be, Ophelia from the basketball club with her invisibility, will she be able to stealthily knock out her opponent or will this fight be gone in the blink of an eye. On our other corner we have Magnus from the volleyball club with his power trick-shot, is he gonna take this win by surprise or will it ricochet back to him and end up making him miss his opportunity to win"

"On the count of 3 the match will start"

"Ready, Go!"

The two opponents clashed arms, Ophelia almost catching a punch from Magnus but she retreated before he could do so, Ophelia turned invisible, leaving Magnus with a confused look on his face

"Ophelia has turned invisible, Magnus has a storm coming for him" said Marie

Magnus got hit by a flurry of strike, even the spectators couldn't see where the strikes where coming from. He's been hit from the front, back and all parts of his body. Ophelia revealed herself again, opposite of where Magnus is currently standing, Looks like using invisibility for a long time made her really tired.

For the spectators, the fight seems one sided, it was heavily in Ophelia favor until Magnus started using his powers that is. Magnus took out small metal ball bearings outside of his pockets and started throwing them

"Magnus has finally took it out, This gives him a fighting chance" said Marie

Magnus started throwing around the metal ball bearings seemingly at random, it started bouncing all around at the stadium hitting no one, until all of them hit Ophelia at once in the stomach, it felt like strong punch enough to knock her wind out of her even though Magnus was far away from Ophelia, Magnus kept delivering blow after blow.

Ophelia turned invisible again and disappeared into the wind, the audience would've assumed that Magnus wouldn't be able to hit Ophelia anymore but she's still getting pelted by the small metal ball bearings. This knocks her out of her invisibility.

Ophelia is noticeably injured, her arm is limping and her stance isn't very balanced. She turned invisible once more while Magnus continued his barrage of attacks but none of them seemingly hitting Ophelia

"What's happening? Why are none of them are hitting Ophelia? Is Magnus finally missing?" said Marie

This moment was a teeth clenching moment for both the audience and Magnus, Ophelia is no where to be found, Magnus scrunched up his nose and closed his eyes, he was deep in thought on where Ophelia could be and where should appear next, but as he open his eyes, a single ball bearing was heading his way, he couldn't dodge it in time and it hit him straight in the forehead knocking him out.

As soon as Magnus got knocked out, the ball bearing stopped bouncing around, Ophelia revealed herself laying on the ground exhausted she was holding a small mirror

"That was amazing from Ophelia, I didn't know that Ophelia would use my opening statement as her plan" said Marie

Ophelia raised her fist in the air while her team mates was cheering her on, she was escorted by her team mates off the stadium

"It looks like both participants are unable to continue but for the first match the win goes to the basketball club"

"For the second match we have Tre from the Basketball club with Light Transmutation and Joan from the volleyball club with her Energy Manipulation"

"The match will start on the count of 3"

"Ready, Go!"

Diane watched the rest of the match, waiting for Leo and Luna to come back, as the match comes to an end with the basketball club winning Leo and Luna came back with Luna looking like she's not doing a lot better but Luna insisted that she's fine

"A great win for the basketball club, I couldn't forget that play Ophelia made" said Marie

"For the next match we have the student council vs" Marie stopped for a moment

"Diane and her friends?" She questioned herself

"It looks like someone not from a club joined well I bid them good luck on their fight
