The Damned

She was blinded. A sack was covering his face.

Andrea could only hear the muffled conversations of men and their subtle footsteps in front of her.

"Where am I?" she asked. A couple of seconds has passed but she wasn't answered.

Instead, the muffled voices of the men in front of her got more silent.

"He's here," one of them said.

A metal door creaked open, followed by heavy footsteps that dramatically entered the room.

"Andrea, Andrea, Andrea," a low husky voice repeated her name.

"Who are you?!" she asked.

"It's not important who we are," the man said. "What's important is that you took away our only chance of stopping them."

"I don't get what–"

She was cutt off by a sudden slap in her face. It was so hard that she could hear a ringing in her ear. And before she could comprehend everything, another slap followed.

"That's what you get!" the man growled. "But don't worry. We made some comprehensive action against it."

The sack was removed from her face, revealing a tall muscled man in a uniform and several more with large guns. A TV was in front of her, the news was airing.

"Doris?"

"And now for the headline," Doris started. "A reporter from ABV Network recently gained popularity when she released an article against The Union, and denying the content afterwards. It has been discovered that the reporter had suffered from a… mental illness and when she felt the popularity of her article could boost her name in popularity, she denied the article to gain even more popularity."

"That's not true…" Andrea trailed off and looked at Bob. "What she's saying is not true!"

A slap echoed throughout the room. Andrea's face reddened, a pain surging in her face.

"Just shut up!" Bob yelled. "I had to travel f*cking long to get here because a b*tch caused a problem from her help. Do you know how f*cking awful a jetlag feels like?!"

"You're a monster!" Andrea screamed.

"The only monsters here are those damn Exorcists. They keep saying that they'll help but they're the ones causing the problem to begin with!" Bob yelled.

"You're wrong!"

"… It has been discovered that an Exorcist had been purposely creating Stained Souls from his own blood," Doris said that made Andrea's eyes widen. "The Rank 6 Exorcist, Martin Von Schweitzer had been convicted for keeping Stained Souls. It is speculated that his experiments are the start of the monsters that had been roaming around our planet. Another speculation says that his family had been handing out a serum that turns normal organisms to Stained Souls since its discovery 700 years ago."

"W-What?" Andrea stuttered. "This can't be real."

"Of course, that's not real," Bob snickered. "Their secret sh*t had only caused them harm. Exorcists kept a lot, so you fan figure out how much it would damage them."

"It would destroy them," Andrea whispered.

"It will," Bob said. "And I can't wait for that to finally happen."

"Exorcists protect the people," Andrea said.

Bob looked at her, "They use people's hope to gain influence and power. And when they reach the peak, they will attack us like snakes."

"What do you have against Exorcists?"

"Mel–" Bob stopped. His face reddened in embarrassment and it reddened even more in anger. "You don't have to know. We will kill you soon anyway. Where are they?"

A knock sounded from the metal door. A soldier opened it and Bob turned to greet them but no one was outside.

"What in the–"

A slim petite figure wearing a tight gray suit kneed him on the face. The figure landed on the ground and swept Bob off from his feet.

"An Exorcist!" the soldiers yelled but they were too late. The figure had already attacked them one by one until none was left.

"Who are you?" Andrea asked.

The figure did not say anything. Instead, they brandished their sword and cut the ropes that tied Andrea. "Go outside. Everything is clear. Your father awaits."

Andrea hesitated before following the orders. She swore the voice was female but she only deepened her voice to sound male. Andrea ran out and saw the car of Doris's husband.

"Are you okay?" Darwin asked. "Are you hurt?"

"Is Roy okay? I heard a gunshot when they took me," Andrea said.

Darwin led her inside his car and they drove down the hospital.

Inside the room, the tigure removed their mask and a long locks of white hair shoned under the barely lit room. She looked around and sighed, taking a radiophone from her hip pocket.

"This is Mary Alastair," she spoke. "Bob Titan and his team has been neutralized. Send reinforcements now."

Mary looked at the television, Doris was still on the news. It was obvious that she was only delaying her report.

"We did our part," Mary said. "Now do yours."

"You're safe now," Darwin said as they drove down the highway. "We will go to Roy and report to Doris. She will clear everything up."

"But I thought she said I lied? And that I was crazy?"

"Don't worry," Darwin said. "A representative from the Union went to us while your boyfriend was in the operation room–"

"He's not my boyfriend," Andrea cut off.

"Oh, well, they said that they know where they are hiding you and would only need for us to cooperate with their plan. They will let Bob enter the room and Doris start the report to let their guards down. An Exorcist led me to their base so they could infiltrate and take you out. After this, we will call Doris and speak about what happened."

"About everything?"

"Everything," Darwin said. "We cannot lie. An eye for an eye will make the whole world blind. As newscasters, we have a duty to speak the truth. We can excuse ABV's past reports because we were threatened. Even when it would deal a devastating blow on the network's credibility, we must speak the truth and stop them from forming the World Governance."

"And why is that?"

"They plan to build the capital in the United States of America and will leave all other countries alone. This is after they remove the Union out of the picture."

It was their final lap when they heard a commotion from nearby.

Devin walked over and their eyes widened when a black cloud appeared.

Four figures came out of the cloud. A woman with two tails that forms two swords, a child who was carrying a giant lollipop, a tall hooded man that carries a scythe, and finally a tall muscled man with a thick armor adorning his body.

Devin brandished his sword but he forgot that it was confiscated.

"Let's see," the woman said. "How much can we kill?"

"666," Devin whispered.
