Sirens Before Night Falls

The room was silent after the revelation. No one could find the right words to say after hearing what Mason said.

"You mean that they have perfected the experiment?" Maria asked, stuttering. "They have completed the Windsor Project?"

Mason slowly nodded, making the blood flow out of everyone else's faces.

The completion of this project meant that the Windsors now have the power to overthrow the current leaders of the Union. They created a power gap between them and the organization and it won't take long before they use that power to take over.

"But how did they find the one they could use? A person who has both cells in their body would die," Andrei uttered. "How could they find a specimen like that?"

"They haven't found one too," Mason said. Just when everyone was slowly relaxing, he added, "They have found a group of five that has compatibility."

"Five?!" Devin gasped. "Do you mean the ones we fought at the Summit years ago?"
