Shocking news

Time passed by and the month was over. It was time for William to return to the other world. He was excited but also terrified. Excited about the chance to get stronger again and terrified by the idea of what torture would expect him this time. Would he have to die thousands of times again? Would the system give him mission which were basically only do able through luck again?

He was terrified. The trauma of what happened last time when he got transported to the world was deeply engraved into his mind, but he had no choice. He would automatically transfer and the system wouldn't ask him if he was ready or not. So sadly he might get transportated into hell whenever the system felt like it.

But William was also happy, he would finally see the goblins again. Those green little fellows became his family while he spent his time there. He really hoped that they were fine, and that not much time passed since he was gone. His heart wouldn't be able to bear it if he came back and hundreds of years passed. But he had no influence over this so he could just hope.

Soon he felt the transport start, one moment he was in the original world and the next in the other world. There he found himself in the middle of the goblin village. First he seemed worried because no one seemed to be surprised to see him, but he soon realized that something was weird.

He recognized the faces of the people, so there couldn't have passed too much time. They also didn't seem to have aged so at most a year should have passed. But then why was no one surprised to see him? He decided to ask a goblin and the answer completely shocked him and, the meaning of the answer shocked him even more.

The goblins were confused when he asked how long he left and they answered that he was never gone. Meaning that in their view no time has passed since he left, or rather time didn't pass at all. Time would only pass when he was in this world, meaning that, the lives of the goblins were all on hold when he wasn't here.

This was shocking for William, what would happen to the goblins when it was time for him to enter the second world? Or when it was time to enter the third world? and all the other worlds? Would the lives of the goblins simply not exist anymore if he didn't visit this world? Those were scary thoughts and William couldn't give an answer to them but he hoped that he would find a solution.

But that the time stopped also had it's ups. It meant that he could spend a lot more time with the goblins and that the goblins wouldn't miss him. He didn't want to constantly worry about the goblins while he was in the original world so the time stopping brought some good things too.
