Troy finally left her room around five in the morning. Leaving her to clean up and wallow in despair. Mazikeen couldn't even cry as she curled up in a ball and small quivers started disposing throughout her tiny body.
She started to get up shaking as she proceeded to make her way to the bathroom. Mazikeen grabbed a towel that was laying over the back of a chair at her desk. Wrapping herself within it. She proceeded out the door and around the corner.
Usually this was when her oldest brother Oliver headed to work. She slipped out of her doorway and down the dark, cold corridor. Just as she was about to grab the silver metal doorknob another door opened.
She stopped dead in her tracks not wanting to turn around, waiting for another round. To her surprise she heard a soft whisper. A couple footsteps headed in her direction.
"Maze?"
Mazikeen whipped her head around to only find Oliver's dark green eyes meet her hazel ones. The reflection of the window outlined his tall muscular frame. "What are you doing up?" He whispered in a hoarse voice. She panicked a little knowing that her brothers can't know what happened. Otherwise she would be dead meat.
She though quickly and said "Had another nightmare and wanted to take a shower." She replied into the thick darkness.
"Ok then. Make sure Troy doesn't see you, ok?"
"Ok Oli."
Mazikeen pivoted and opened the bathroom door stepping her feet onto the freezing tile. Locking the door she let out a sigh of relief and walked over toward the shower. Turning on the faucet she let her towel down and staggered in. The steaming hot water cascaded over her body and cooled down her sore muscles.
Mazikeen took the black loofa and squirted some body wash on it. Scrubbing her body ferociously trying to get the sent and feel of Troy from her skin. But no matter how much she scrubbed Mazikeen still felt his disgusting hands all over her.
She scrubbed down twice until her skin was raw, and washed the soap off. The water was beginning to turning icy.
Mazikeen turned the water off and got out wrapping a soft, new, clean, beige towel around her body. She looked into the mirror and stared at the handprint like bruise starting to form on her smooth complexion. Mazikeen grabbed a red brush from the counter top and began to brush her honey blonde hair. Trying to get the knots and tangles out.
Mazikeen brushed her teeth and washed her face finally looking up in the mirror once again the tear stains were gone and the puffy mess of her face had gone down some. Looking somewhat better she dragged out her makeup bag from under the sink and opened it, all brand new.
Taking primer putting it on her face and proceeded with the foundation, concealer, mascara, eyeshadow, and bronzer. After she was done Mazikeen turned the knob and tip toed past her brothers rooms. Troy's and Oliver's were right next to each other so that he could keep an eye on him and know his schedule. Oliver was twenty five.
Then next on the left side of the hallway was Dylan's and Isaac's Dylan was twenty two and Isaac was nineteen. On the right side was Cole's and Mazikeen's. Cole was seventeen and Mazikeen was fifteen.
Dylan and Oliver both worked at their own Corp. at Guidance Excursion. They are both the CEO's of the building, also holding a place on the bored. Isaac works at a mechanics shop and gets paid a pretty decent amount. Mazikeen and Cole were still in school so neither of them had jobs get. Once Mazikeen turns sixteen they were going to all run.
Their father has always been a drunk ever since she could remember and the abuse has gotten worse as she was getting older. Her brothers were taking to bulk of it.
Not knowing what was happening at night and when they were away. None of her brothers would tell her what happened to their father in the past. But someday she knew they would break, she was determined to seek the truth.
