Mazikeen sat on the bathroom floor staring up at the ceiling as thoughts raced through her mind. She couldn't feel anything. Mazikeen eyed Cole's razor and picked it up from the counter. She turned the grey razor over in her hands slowly examining it.
Standing up Mazikeen put it under her foot and crushed to plastic. She slid back down to the floor and picked up one of the five smaller razors. It's thin long metal piece almost seemed to call to her.
The silver piece had a very sharp edge as Mazikeen pricked her finger against it. She drew her finger back and sucked on it, tasting metal in the blood.
She rolled her sleeve all the way up to her elbow and stared at the smooth olive skin for a moment. Placing the razor right below her elbow she sucked in a deep breath and put pressure into it.
Just then she heard Cole grunt and say "Hey is someone in here I need to pee!" Out of surprise from jumping she sliced her arm and the thin piece of metal fell from her hands to the ground. Mazikeen responded with "uhh I'm taking a shower!" and put a hand over her racing heart as footsteps faded away.
A small line of blood formed, small, red dots began to clot up. It doesn't even hurt that much. she thought to herself. She picked the razor up again and placed it on her arm right underneath the fresh slice this time Mazikeen pressed down a little harder and sliced.
Blood immediately formed and ran down the side of her arm as it oozed out. Maze sliced again and again not minding the slight twinge of pain. Soon enough her whole arm was filled with at least fifty different small and large cuts most of them shallow like paper cuts.
But a few are deeper. She starred down at her arm that was covered in red blood. What would her brothers think? How will she hid this? She has never harmed on her arm before, only her legs. And yet they weren't as bad as this.
Mazikeen got up suddenly and turned in the faucet on, letting the water run over the cuts. She took some gauze from the cabinet, and wrapped the gauze around her arm a couple times. She was relieved from her racing thoughts, covered by the pain. This was new for her it had never been like this, this relief.
Mazikeen cleaned up the floor and picked up the other razors, stuffing them in her hoodie pocket. Mazikeen cleaned up the plastic pieces and put them in the trash. She walked out the door like nothing happened. No evidence left behind to what had just happened.
Mazikeen made her way to Dylan's room. And opened the door to find him taking off his shirt and replacing it with a new one. His back was to her so he had no idea Mazikeen was there. Her jaw dropped as she grew flustered, looking at his perfect frame and rippling muscles. His toned complexion was beautiful. Yummy if I just had my hands in those luscious blonde curls, and I would run my hands down his spine to... SNAP OuT Of IT MAZE!!!
Mazikeen couldn't move until she was snapped back into reality by Dylan's face right next to her's. Mazikeens eyes went wide as she glanced back into his amber eyes for a moment. Only to look away as her face grew hot.
"Like something that you see?"
Dylan said lustfully. She looked back at him searching for any glint of a joke. But Mazikeen couldn't find any trace. Only seriousness in his face.
"Naughty Kitten didn't even knock. I wander...maybe you need to be punished?"
He questioned with a slight playful grin on his face, licking his lips. "Ughh I'm uhh j-just wanted to talk to y-you." Mazikeen stuttered looking at the ground.
"Jeeze. Chill I was just playing you should have seen your face!"
He roared holding his mouth. Trying to keep in a chuckle. He was alway to more playful and joking one out of the family. "Y-your impossible.." she stammered. Walking into his room and throwing herself onto his bed. Mazikeen covered her face with his pillow taking in his sent. Feeling her face grow hot again.
"What happened to your arm there Maze?" He questioned just out of curiosity. Maze panicked, thinking quickly. "Oh that I-I fell off my bike earlier..." wow! Great job very convincing Maze! She thought sarcastically.
He removed the pillow from her face and eyes her arm suspiciously. He placed both hands on either side of her head. "Can I have a look?" The mood became suddenly dark and stiff. "Oh no it's bloody." She responded a little to quickly.
She knew how he would faint at the sight of blood so he left the situation alone for a moment. Lifting his arms from her personal space.
Mazikeen left the room and walked quickly down to the living room and sat on the couch laying her head on Cole's lap. Trying to focus on the Bachelorette on TV.
Their dad had left to probably go back to the bar or to some woman. He didn't hang around much which was good for a change. Mazikeen glances over at the calendar, realizing that it's Sunday and she has to go to school in the morning. Mazikeen groans and turns over looking up at Cole who glances down at Maze. "What's wrong sunshine?"
"I have to go to school tomarrow. I don't wanna." She gave him puppy dog eyes with furrowed eyebrows and a wonky frown. Cole chuckled and turned back to the TV. "What." Maze demanded. "Your so cute Sunshine."
She became flustered again and tried not to smile. But it didn't work very well. she hid her face in her hands and though of something evil. She tackled Cole unexpectedly and dragged him down to the ground making him flip over himself so he doesn't crush Mazikeen.
"What the hell maze!?" He pronounced in shock. She flipped over and straddled him laying her head on his chest. Breathing in his cologne she said " I want attention." He laughed and mumbled something. "Ok do you want to go and get ice cream?" Cole prodded.
Sure! She thought. "But I might get fat." She mumbled into his shirt. "Huh?"
" Oh I just said I don't want to go out right now."
"Oh ok then do you want to sleep with me tonight? Weeee coulddd have a sleepoverrrr." She giggled as his overextended exaggeration of dragging out words and said that it would be great.
She glanced at his face and then back down flustered again. Why am I feeling this way he's my brother! She scolded herself silently as she got up off of him. Sitting back down on the couch in defeat.
