Chapter four

Waking up was insanely hard for me this morning. Maybe it was because I slept at three in the morning and woke up at seven am. I rubbed my eyes, trying to get rid of the blurriness for me. Who the hell wants to start their day this early? Alexander. I remembered that today, I was supposed to be going to his apartment, at least I don't have to pay for it. Considering I don't have any money, I couldn't even have tried if I wanted to.

After being ready, there was a knock on my door. I check the time and it was only seven thirty. So who was at the front door? I opened the door and it revealed a man in his late sixties, perhaps. "You are Eliza Liu?" He asks me. "Yes," I reply with.

"M-Mr. Mostelli has asked me to drive you to his apartment," he stutters a bit. "Let me take your luggage," he offers a hand. I smile brightly at him and I give him the three suitcases that were packed with mainly my clothes and shoes.

I followed him down the stairs and into the bright early streets of New York City. It was semi-cold this morning, with the morning breeze. He leads me to a black limo and puts my suitcases in the trunk of the car. Then, he opens the door for me as I get into the car. A few minutes later, we arrive at a big, magnificent tower that looked probably about eighty stories high. The exterior design was practically shining and glowing. It seemed like it was made of a glass. But it was really pretty.

The man opens the door for me and carries all the suitcases I have out. "Mr. Mostelli is out for work currently, so I'm afraid you will be entering in by yourself." He informs me. I look at him, "I don't have the key to the apartment though," I frown, confused.

He then hands me a silver key, "Here." I thank him and started dragging my three heavy suitcases into the lobby.

But the doorman I suppose stops me, "You don't live in this building," he frowns at me. "Um- I'm supposed to be with Alexander," I inform him smiling.

He then fake chuckles and replies, "Good joke, but I would have to inform you to leave because you do not live here."

"But I do," I scoff.

"Please leave or I will call security and contact Mr. Mostelli for the false claims," he says strictly.

"Go ahead and contact him," I give him a sweet fake smile. "I have the key here too," I take out the silver key from my pocket.

Suddenly his eyes widened. "You stole his key?"

I was about to say something, but someone caught me to it first, "Benjamin. I suppose you let her in. This is Mrs. Mostelli. His future wife," a voice says behind me. I turn around to see the driver dude who drove me here. I glance at him, silently thanking him.

The doorman did looked very surprised, "I-I'm sorry Mrs. Mostelli. You may enter," he bows his head slightly and moves out of the way. I didn't say anything to him but walk past him. I was about to thank the driver but he was already gone. As I waited for the elevator, I took my chance to admire the sight of the lobby. It was literally the definition of glamourous. The chandeliers were held high on the ceiling. There were a couple of Victorian couches spreaded out- and so were some tables.

The elevator door suddenly opened and that took me by surprise. I quickly took my suitcases and walked into it.

When I arrived at the apartment, it was much bigger than I thought it would be. It could practically fit two houses in here! And all the furniture were furnished and modern. The sight of everything awed me. As I was still observing what had looked like the living room to me, a voice clearing it's throat caught me off guard.

"You've been standing there for thirty minutes," the voice had belonged to Alexander's. I admired most likely everything about him. He was standing there with grey sweatpants and a white t-shirt on him. And the shirt defined the muscles that he had.

"I thought you were supposed to be at work?" I asked, the hint of confusion was obvious in my voice.

"Yeah, but I changed my mind," he says still staring at me intensely. It gave me some kind of discomfort because it felt like as he was mad at me.

I nod silently. He heads back into another room which I was guessing probably his bedroom. Suddenly, a woman came up to me. "Mrs. Liu?" she asks me.

I nod, clearly in confusion. "Here, let me show you to your room!" she smiles at me. "By the way, I am Anna," she introduces herself.

I smile back, "I'm Eliza."

"So you must be Mr. Mostelli's new wife I suppose?" she asks me.

"Yup," I nod in agreement.

She leads me to a medium-sized room. There was a queen sized bed placed in the middle and a closet on one side. While there was a massive window on another.

I widened my eyes in surprise. "This is amazing," I stared in awe.

"You should see Mr. Mostelli's. It's much more bigger," she laughs. I glanced at her, does she know the marriage is arranged?
