Museum and Pyramids III

And then she reads the description and the history right beside it.

King Rameses II the Pharaoh of the Empire of Egypt, reigned from 1314 BC to 1326 BC. He was crowned King when he was 9 years old. He was widely known and feared not only in his Empire but throughout the lands.

He has crushed all of his enemies with his spear that tried to desire his possessions, especially those that wanted to destroy his Empire.

He has won bloody wars with little to no casualties, stole their lands and riches to expand his already massive empire. Turning him into one of the most powerful Kings of his time.

And his Empire to be the strongest and wealthiest out of all the neighboring Kingdoms combined.

But somehow, the fierce and untouchable Pharaoh died all of a sudden at a young age taking down the Empire with him. Erasing his Dynasty to the world from an unidentified enemy.

And until now researchers and historians can't piece together on who it could be or how he died. The only way to get an opening is to somehow find his amulet, which they believe could have been destroyed on the day he fell.

'Huh? Amulet?'

Jade furrowed her brows and looked at the amulet in the middle of the chest again. But it's right in front of her!

"Angela! Come here!" Horrified, she calls for her friend who is all the way at the end of the aisle, talking to the security guard.

Angela, who heard the call, immediately went to her side.

"Jade! Did you see the cute security guy? He was educating me about the pieces and I was trying to get his name and—

Jade turned to her friend with a pale face and with a shaky finger pointed at the amulet on the Pharaoh's chest.

"D-do y-you see that?" she asked rasply.

"See what?" Angela confusedly asked back while looking back and forth between Jade and the mummy.

"Do you see the necklace on the Pharaoh's chest?!" Jade almost yelled at her friend. Panic engulfing her whole body. A knot forming in her stomach, she feels like she's going to throw up any minute.

"Uhh, no. I don't see anything. Are you okay?" Angela asked worriedly as she took a hold of her friend's torso to steady her.

'What? What's going on? Why can't she see it?!'

Jade, who's about to lose her mind suddenly feels a familiar energy. It's the same force that she's been having lately. It's more intense than ever.

Driven by the need to unravel the mystery she muted her senses with great difficulty and continued to read the diagram.

The amulet is an identification that consists of the name and rank of the deceased. But for the Pharaoh it would have been much different.

It was given to him the moment he ascended the throne, and based on how the other monarchs after him have much bigger and grander amulets.

For the Pharaoh who was once considered the most powerful and vicious, his amulet that was passed down would have been much more valuable and powerful.

It was considered to be passed down by the first Pharaoh who was believed to have come from the gods when they first created the humans.

But after King Rameses died it was never seen after that, forcing the next generation of monarchs to copy the exact same amulet but it was all just a water down version of it.

Never fully achieving to imitate the original amulet.

Thus making the once mighty Empire of Egypt reduced to nothing, and what came next was plague and poverty that killed thousands of people all over the empire.

Jade was appalled by the whole thing as she felt hot wet tears falling down from her face. Unknowingly she started crying.

It's only a young Pharaoh from thousands of years ago who died very suddenly and it is causing her to behave irrationally.

'Why? Just who is he that she's having a reaction to him?'

"Jade! What's wrong?" Angela panics as she tries to console her friend.

She doesn't know why her friend would suddenly lose her composure when not too long ago she was just admiring the mummies and the artifacts surrounding them.

Jade didn't respond but instead continued sobbing. People started looking in their direction to see what's going on.

Angela can see security guards coming their way, along with them is the cute guy she just talked to.

Feeling more alarm she turned to Jade.

"Jade, honey, we gotta go. Or else we're going to get chased out," she whispers anxiously to her friend who doesn't seem to want to stop.

"Is there any problem here?" A man asked from the group. Frowning at them as if he's trying to figure out what's going on.

'Shit! They're here!'

"Uhh, m-my f-friend is not feeling the very best right now. I-I apologize for the disturbance."

Angela explained with a crooked smile and beads of sweat on her forehead.

For a second the man stared at her and at Jade who was still sobbing.

"Ma'am, with all due respect. We would need to ask you to leave. Unfortunately we can't have you guys stay any longer. As you can see you're causing people to be uncomfortable."

He said as his voice hardened.

Angela looked around her and saw how there's a crowd of people now, curiously watching at the sidelines.

She gritted her teeth in annoyance.

These rude people! Can't they see that my friend is upset? What if she's having a medical emergency right now huh?!

What then?! You imbeciles piece of shit officers!

Angela took a long deep breath and gave them her best fake smile and said.

"You see here officer—.

She got cut off when a small fragile hand clasped her clenched fist tightly.

"It's alright," Jade said to her in a small voice, then looked up at the group of security people.

"I apologize for the scene I caused. I'm feeling better so we'll be leaving now."

Jade said indifferently and bowed. She then grabbed Angela's hand and lead her out of the museum.
