Chapter 2: Another person, another reason

"So, how was it?" The first thing that Andrea told me after I exited the principal's office. She's waiting for me for about half an hour.

"Nothing, dean just scold me," I said to make her feel relief. Which worked. The dean said I should be a good influence because I am the class president, 'yadda-yadda-yadda.'

"And also if I do it again he's going to suspend me," I mumbled rapidly.

"What?!" The surprise is written all over her face.

"Nothing. Let's just go to the cafeteria."

Her eyes are squinting but she can't do anything but to agree. She gave me my bag that she's been holding while waiting for me.

"Don't tell my brother that--"

"Don't tell me, what?" A cold voice hit my ears. My brother. He's behind me all this time.

Shit.

"You told him?!" I almost shouted to my friend.

"What? He asked!" She defended.

I am so going to get scold by mom.

I looked behind me just to see my brother with his eyes full of anger. He's overprotective.

"Hey, how's school?" I asked, casually.

He's mad.

"Ugh, please, brother, don't tell mom," I said with my glimmering eyes full of hope that he won't tell mom and dad.

His eyes still look furious.

Looks like it's time to bring on the big guns.

"Come on. It's just a simple 'misunderstanding' that's it." I told him, with my eyes full of confidence and my right eyebrow upwards.

It took him a matter of seconds to say: "Fine." He rolled his eyes. "But the next time you'll be late again, I'm going to tell them, alright?" He even pointed at me.

"Okay, thanks!" I thanked him. Note the sarcasm, please.

I hold Andrea's hand who's looking stunned and went to the school cafeteria to eat snacks.

In the midst of our walk to our class, Andrea couldn't help but ask. "Is it true that your brother and Kim has this... umm..." She's a bit hesitant to tell it, "...fling with Kim?"

Knowing her, she has a questionable infatuation to my brother. That's probably why when my brother asked, why am I in the principal's office she answered him instantly.

"I don't actually know it's just a hunch, but I think so," I confided her. She's my friend, I have to be honest. I think she asked this because there are rumors going on at this school. Yep, my brother is that famous. Me? I don't know.

In the entrance, I can see those mean-looking girls who presumably just don't have a life that's why they like tormenting others. One of them is Kim. Apparently, she has a fling with my brother as of now. The best thing to do is to stay away from them.

Full of apathy, I set foot in the cafeteria. I don't like socializing and talking to someone, especially if I'm going to chat with species I don't recognize.

When we are about to buy our snacks, Kim thwarted on us with her friend Karen that looks like her servant.

"Looks like the dorks were on principal." Kim taunted us. Her friend, Karen laughed. Her name suits her, you know? She should dress the part, by the way.

I just ignored them because I have an ear disease called, I don't care. That would be a good come back but I just chose to ignore them.

We just get our snacks and stayed away from them. But then, she said something more offensive.

"Her brother doesn't even care at all." She teased me. That's it, I'm pissed.

I looked behind me to see their faces full of mockery. Psh. I want to roast these bitches but... meh, I don't have the time. You know, if I want to hear from them, I'd fart. This isn't high school, you know?

I just rolled my eyes as I held Andrea's hand as we walk away from the cafeteria. As I've said, I don't have time for shits.

Andrea is always the one that will talk back and shove their asses. Well, not today. Guess she's also tired of their shits.

I'm smiling as I open the classroom door for our next class. The cold breeze of the room touched against our body as we enter. The murmuring of almost every student in this class filled both of our ears. What's going on?

Andrea and I sit to our assigned chairs, both looking curious and sharing the same questions in our mind: What's going on?

We just sit there, waiting for our professor to come with our forehead wrinkling. We're so out of place here.

Is the professor late or something?

"Hey, can you save my seat?" I said as if someone would really sit on my chair. I just want her to guard my stuff.

Holding my bag, I went outside the room. Heat briefly touched my body but I began to get used to the temperature. I walked to the girls' bathroom on the floor of where my classroom subject is, as of now.

I entered the women's restroom and immediately smell sweet-scented fragrant of some sort. I don't know how these women make this bathroom odoriferous but I don't disagree with the scent.

The restroom is huge. There are only at least, four people here, I presume? I entered an empty stall next to an occupied one. I'm usually with Andrea to go to the restroom but no one will guard our stuff if we just left.

I went out of the stall I entered after peeing and went to the washbasin to wash my hands. I looked in the mirror and decided that I need to retouch. So, I opened my sling bag and get some powder. I don't use lipstick a lot, I just put some, occasionally.

After putting powder, I put it back in my bag and left the restroom. As I was just about to go to my classroom I almost bumped into a guy. He has boxes with him.

I turned left, as he did. I turned right, as he did. I giggled while my eyes were on the ground. I looked at him. Hmm... transferee. I could see it, it's a supernatural power. He's... good looking. "Ok, you go right, I go left?" He laughed a bit and said, "Yes."

I went to the right side of him and he went on the left side of me. As we should. That was an awkward moment for me but for him, I don't think so. Men found almost everything normal.

I entered the class and noticed that the professor for the subject is still not here. Good, then. I walked straight to my seat with Andrea and sat. On the exact moment, I sat, the other door, the one I wasn't entering on, opened. Oh, so he's here. And with someone. A transferee, yet again. Why would anyone transfer during the mid-school year?

And they both entered. But, everyone's attention was at the transferee. Except me, of course. He's good looking but... meh.

I looked at every student in the class, all of their attention is at the transferee and the transferee alone. Every jaw almost dropped. Oh, come on! He's probably an idiot, whatsoever.

Andrea is also looking at him, studying every part of him while slapping my elbow which is at my armchair so my hand could support my jaw, indicating that I'm already bored.

Everybody's attention is still at him as he sat on his preferred seat. Oh, come on, he's literally just sitting, and yet everybody's attention is at him adoring every single step he makes.

Gosh.
