Finding a New Friend

---- 25. March 1990 Lake Manor-----

*Today is an awesome day, I just could not believe it. Since the day Dad started to tell me about our Family. I always loved the creatures behind our House, but my Father said when you have bounded with magic creator it's like you are Family. I had been waiting for it my whole life. Yesterday was my tenth Birthday and my Father finally explained our Family trait. If you ask me the best thing in the World. I was a bit disappointed that can´t transform, but I was happy. Four or five more years and I am gonna scare my Parents. I just can´t wait.*

Behind the Lake mansion stood two people on Old man and a child. Both were had clothes that reminded one of Army clothes. "Grampa, where are we getting my familiar": asked and overexcited Alex. Charles looked at this gumibär of joy and just smirked grabbed Alex's hand, and said: "don´t puke when we arrive." Just as the old Man said that both vanished in a blink of an Eye.

----25. March 1990 Unknown location------

In the middle of a Temple appeared an Old Man with a child.

The moment they appeared the child struggled to stand and started puking over the whole ground. The man rubbed his chin and said: "as expected. Maybe should warn him better next time." Alex just looked at his Grandpa as if they were mortal enemies.

Just as Alex wanted to complain his Grandfather said: "come we don´t want you to miss your chance to get on Familiar"

Charles started to walk slowly to the exit of the Building. Alex instantly opened his eyes wide open and followed his Grandfather.

*Once I am powerful enough I am gonna teleport you in Circles* His Grandfather after some time asked: "How far are you with your Education?" Alex puffed out his chest and answered "I have a basic education in Magic and Non-Magic Warfare, I have mastered the basic combat Art. The only things that still need are my Politics skill and Non-Magic education."

Charles smiled while thinking: *Just like Frank said he likes to learn and is a prodigy in combat-related things. Politics can be fixed later on. While Non-Magic education is important but can be learned on Holidays.*

After some time they arrived at a New Forest. Alex instantly saw felt something shift. He asked Grandpa what was that feeling right now. Charles looked at his grandson and looked excited he Said: "That is what you call Magic interference. Its when a place has Runes or Wards and a Wizard travels through them. It's like a scanner, but normally you don´t fell them. Remember that feeling." They went further in until they came to halt to a tree that was Rising in the sky at least a few Hundreds Meter high. Charles then said Its time for you to find your Familiar just wander around until you find the right one. Let Magic guide you."

Alex just stared at his Grandfather. *Is this old man serious. I am going to wander around until Magic guides me. How does Energy even guide one?* As if his Grandfather could read his through he said "go just go, I wait here"

"And here I am in the middle of a Forest searching for my Familiar I thought I just go to a shop and buy one." Suddenly I heard something and saw a herd of Unicorn strolling next to the see. "I can´t believe it Unicorns I always wanted to see one. Fleur and Gabrielle always show off. Just because they got Vela in them all Magic creatures seem to like them. Wait I am also a part magic creature now." Slowly Alex made his way to the Unicorns as. Alex now was only twenty meters away from the Unicorns. Suddenly they seem to notice him. Before Alex could react one Big Unicorn was running towards him and standing between him and then other Unicorns.

Alex tried to talk to them: "Hello I just wanted to say hello and maybe try to pet you. I am sorry if I offended you." The Unicorn seems to accept the apology as it nodded his head and went back to the other.

"Well, that went great. My first encounter was not that great. I am now almost two hours but I must say I encountered so many different. I could interact with most of them but none of them had any connection. But it's funny how the Cerberus and Unicorns could understand me. I almost shit my self when two small Cerberus came and were trying to play with me." After another tree Hour, Alex gave almost up. Suddenly he remembered her mother once said: "Magic is not just Energie. Magic is everywhere and connects everything." Alex once again remembered how sometimes in training he would know things before they happened.

Ok first I have to clear my head. Close my Eyes breath in breath out. Then he started to picture his familiar. Slowly bits of Information started to come into him. He now knew the Form it was a small yellow eagle. The next thing was trying to find a location. Instead of a place, Alex felt a thug. It's felt like someone was poking him with a stick.

"I think I know what Grandpa meant when he said, "Let Magic guide you", Well at least I now know where to go." And so Alex made his way toward a Mountain. The nearer Alex got to the mountain the Stronger he could feel his Partner. Just as Alex arrived at the bottom of the mountain he could feel a connection towards something. Alex felt something it told him to wait.

After about a few minutes he saw two yellow eagles flying towards him. Right behind the Yellow Eagle, he could see something straight out of a movie pure black clouds. From the clouds, strikes of lighting could be seen. After a while, these Birds two birds arrived. They started to cycle Alex. After a while both birth dove down towards Alex. He closes his eyes and waited for the pain to come. After what felt like an eternity. Alex felt someone sitting on top of Head and trying to comfort him.

Slowly Alex opened his eyes and saw two, three-meter tall Birds staring at him.

Alex felt confused he felt scared but at the same, something told him everything is ok. After a while registered that reassuring feeling came from the top of his head. Slowly he moved one hand to the top of his head and felt a small head rubbing his head. "I guess you are my Partner now." When the two Birds saw how their Son was getting treated. They looked at each other noded. As on Comando, both started to flap their wings and started to fly away. With them, aways the clothes that were dark and full of fury started to calm down. Alex then turned towards his new Partner and said: "Remind me to never piss off your Parents" and chuckled towards himself. The young thunderbird just let a small happy chirp as to agree to that statement and started to lay down on Alex.

Alex then started towards the big Tree where his Grandpa would wait for him. He was just happy to find his own Partner. And to finally understand Magic. He didn´t even need to look where his Grandfather was he just asked Magic and Magic showed him the Way.

On the Big Tree, the were sitting Charles and his Cerberus. He could still remember when he got his Cerberus as a Familiar. He then looked towards the sky and saw that it was slowly getting Dark. Just as he was about to search for Grandson. He saw something which he would never forget. A boy was walking towards him his hair was standing in every direction. But the most bizarre thing was a small eagle that was sleeping happily on top of that hair. He looked at Alex but before he could say anything Alex interrupted: "Not one word. I swear I will tell mum that you a wild Cerberus almost killed me. Not one word" Charles just started as his Grandson not believing that he was getting blackmailed. And he knew he could not even do anything against it Jean was just too scary and overprotective.

Charles just signed grabbed Alex's hand and asked "Are you prepared?" Alex just nodded. Then Charles apparte toward Lake Manor.
