Her Feelings

"How could you do this?!", Mika yelled at Grace, sitting down at the park right on the side of campus. Her eyes were tearing up and her face was showing that she was pissed off more than her limit. "I knew you didn't love me! You don't need me right?", she cried.

Grace sighed. Mika was throwing a bad tantrum. She was doing puff-puff expanding her cheeks. Grace grabbed her with the other side of her head. She pulled her down and rested her head on her shoulder. Mika stopped shouting but she was still a bit fuzzy and teary. Grace started patting her head lightly with her soft and gentle touch. "Why do you think I don't need you?", she asked genuinely.

"Because... You have him, you would spend time with him", Mika confessed scowling a little.

"Awe dear, you know how much I love you", she kissed her the forehead. "I'm never leaving you, and you know that", she hugged her tight.

"Promise?"

"Yes promise", Grace snickered.

"Hmph! I still don't like that crackhead around you though", Mika pouted.

Grace chuckled on these words. Mika was adorable after all. Yet she knew that behind all these tantrums and jealousy she shows, she is only a child who's holding on to Grace so that she won't disappear.

"Well if we ditch classes and go for shopping, no one would be around", Grace smiled mischievously.

Mika's eyes lip up. She lifted her head off Grace's shoulder and held her tightly by the arms. "Are you serious?! Can we really go?!", she shook her to the core.

"Yeah, yeah. If only you don't make me sick by shaking so hard right now", Grace said in a cracked tone from the earthquake Mika created for her.

In her mind, Mika jumped in excitement. 'Mission: Spending the whole day with Grace without anyone around completed'. her face was beaming with an evil grin.

"Hmm? What is it?", Grace asked seeing Mika like that.

"Nothing, just excited for what we both would buy. I'm excited to dress you up", Mika smiled tensely.

"Oh, we'll decide there. Let's go", Grace, being a total nutcase, again, didn't know a single thing about it.

As they were in the cab, Mika started landing the questions on Grace.

"So what the heck did actually happen between you two?", she stared at her all baffled.

"Well-", Grace started reliving the moment. In just two seconds her face was flushed and her eyes were watery.

Mika was like, 'dude these morons are messed up', "and why was that creep's shirt off?!", she yelled as she retrieved the scene again.

"Oh that, nothing, I fell and spilled drinks on him", she smiled in embarrassment.

"You fell?! Are you hurt anywhere?", Mika got all worried and started looking at her body for any injuries.

"No, he caught me before I hit the ground. That's why he got soaked", she shook her head.

"Oh thank god, that nitwit is finally useful. How did you fell through? I hope it was the episode of constant fatigues you used to have", she asked worriedly.

"Oh no, it's not like that. I just- umm- tripped on- my won foot", Grace replied looking down in embarrassment.

Mika's expressions were shouting, 'what the fuck, how can someone be this idiot. but still, she's adorable!'

"How much clumsy can you be? You know that it's physically impossible to do so, right?", She laughed out.

"It's not my fault! I just HAPPENED to not walk properly", Grace shouted without realizing she wasn't making a complete sense.

"Awe! it's alright, it's alright", Mika patted her head, getting moved by the adorable face of her best friend.

As soon as they reached the mall, Mika's bossy mommy mode was one.

She held Grace's hand, "now don't let go! Every time we're out you either get lost or get left behind. That should not happen!"

"Alright alright", Grace sulked.

They straightly headed to the clothing section. Grace could look at three flours, filled with shops of every brand they would love to wear. And then she saw Mika's face, an overwhelmed hunter with the hunger of shopping. 'Oh boy, this combination is not good. Goodbye feet', she cried in her thoughts.

"So you were telling me about that kiss?", Mika said outside from the changing room.

"Yeah, so after that I went to that mini storage room to get something to clean him up", Grace said in an unstable voice as she was in the progress of changing.

"So you thought kissing him would make him hot and he'll dry up himself?", Mika spilled out the sarcasm.

"No!", Grace screamed as she put on a blue pastel top. She opened up the door. "I came back and his shirt was already off. I guess he was cold from the AC's breeze.", she spun a whole 360 degree to show Mika, who was there as her only stylist.

She looked at her carefully. "Try this one", she handed out a white top with a fancy bow on one shoulder instead of the sleeve. "So what happened after that?"

Grace went back to the changing room, "It was weird, when I looked at him, my face was all red for no reason. I don't really know what it was, but it was not something like an attraction to a hot guy", she said while panting a little, from the struggle to take her shirt off.

"What was different?", Mika asked looking at the clothes she had piled up for Grace and her to try.

"It was-", she mumbled as she came out, "warm-. Yet exciting", she placed her hand near her heart. She could feel it beating loud. "It made my heart flutter, which, trust me, is too rare", she said in hysteria.

"Mhmm", she nodded as she turned grace here and there getting a good view. "Wow somehow, even though I don't want to because of that creepy Nate, I'm so happy for you", she smiled.

Grace blushed, she covered her face with her hands.

"Here try six of these dresses, we'll buy any three for you", Mika handed her a bunch of stuff.

"Even he was not the same as you know. I could tell I wasn't the only one feeling that way. Anyway, it was as if we were under a spell. How did we kiss? I don't really remember, all I know is it was somehow magical".

Mika started remembering her first encounter with Noah, the thing that happened that day, it was indeed nothing she had ever felt. "Yeah I understand you", she said in a flat voice.

Grace came out in the cutest frilly, white lace dress. She was indeed looking like the angel she was.

"I knew it! It looks awesome on you!", Mika said proudly.

"Hey, about what happened today-", Grace mumbled as she held on to the clothes when Mika went into the dressing room.

"Hmm? what about it?"

"Why do you think that happened? I mean was it a body crash? Or just fever? Or was it some sort of thing I have with the closed rooms?"

Mika was dumbstruck. Her face was blank with the shock of someone being this dumb. "Come again", she moved her ear ahead to reconfirm that what she heard was actually what she heard.

"What? My body was behaving weirdly. Don't you think something was wrong with it?", she leaned to the wall in front of the changing room.

Mika smashed out wearing a white crop top with a little pink cat drawn on it, "aren't you the one who's one the best people I know to have love advice from?"

"Aw, you look so cute!", Grace looked at her with shimmery eyes.

"Really!", Mika felt good of the compliment. "Hey wait! That's not the topic! You seriously have no idea what this is?!", she held her from the collar.

"What are you saying?", Grace asked as her voice was chocking. "And get away! I can't breathe", she pushed her away.

"Wow, don't you ever read the stories and articles you write?", Mika said while looking through the skirts she had handed to Grace.

"I write it you know. Your question already answers itself", she said with her frowned face 'what's wrong with you'. "And why do you keep stating my situation as love?"

"Have you ever really given a thought to what you feel? And your actions?", Mika went inside again looking at both her hands having pink and white skirts.

"Well now that you say it, I didn't really think about it that much. I mean, there's no point of overthinking anything", Grace scratched her head.

"Yeah that's true, b- but", she struggled to take her top off. "Phew such a pain", she sighed heavily. "How about you examine your situation right now. Give all the situations a thought. Take yourself as someone who has come for help from you".

"I don't know why we need to, but alright", Grace said annoyed. She closed her eyes and started imagining. It was like she was pushed into a whole new world. She stood on a ground filled with pink flower petals, beaming out happiness and light. She didn't even felt her foot on the ground, her body was light as a feather. One by one every situation rewinded itself in front of her. His words started echoing in front of her. How he would smile to make her feel less comfortable, the first time someone understood her words like that. How he would be around somehow when needed. How his tears spoke about her voice. How her heart feels light, how she feels safe to let her guards down. How some way or another, she is motivated to get up because she wants to see him, how he never gives her a feeling which is familiar to the people she has met. Her feet itself follows him. It's weird for her to include anyone in her life other than Mika, so why does she feel happy to spend time with him. It's not been long till they have known each other but somehow it feels like she knows him from years. And- That kiss, why did she felt like crying during that time?

Her head started feeling fuzzy. Her thoughts were shouting together, it as hard to keep up with them.

'It can't be...'

'Isn't it too soon for that?'

'Why is my heart beating so fast'

'Wait! It's just my imagination, right?

'But why do I feel so happy about it?'

"Why don't I want to deny this?'

Mika came out of the room with a big smile on her face. She was immensely satisfied with her choice. "Hey, I think these three-", her eyes went to Grace's face. It was beet red. She was holding her cheeks with both her hands, her eyes looking down. Obviously Mika knew what it was. It's her little doll after all.

"So did you get something good out of it?", she brought her face in front of hers.

Grace nodded without even saying anything. Mika chuckled with happiness. "Would you also tell me?", she patted her head.

Grace shook her head slowly with cute teary eyes.

"Aw cmon, tell me", Mika said gently.

"I think- I kind of have- feelings for him?", Grace mumbled in a broken voice.

"Just feelings?", Mika smirked.

"Maybe love...", Grace whispered.

Mika burst into laughter right at that second. She didn't even care if anyone was around to see her. Grace felt utterly embarrassed, she was about to leave when Mika caught her hand. She hugged her tight and sighed with a sign of relief. "Finally", she whispered.
