Four of Them

"A date?", Grace whispered.

"A DATE?!", Mika screamed from the other side. It seemed like she wanted to announce this to the whole city. She got up in a second and held Grace's arm as tight as she could.

"Hey keep it a little down", Nate frowned.

"Keep it down!?! How can you ask my Grace to go on a date with you?!", she snapped.

Noah got up to reach behind her and pinched her ears, "now now, at least let Grace decide if she wants to go or not", he squinted his eyes on her.

"Bu- but", Mika looked at Noah and Grace. "Alright", she agreed while looking down and pouting.

"So? Would you like it?', Nate turned towards Grace again.

Grace was feeling overly excited about it. Her heart was racing and her thoughts were jumping up and down. Her hands were shaking a little with the thought that it was not someone random or someone like she had met in the past. She never expected this to happen. Even though both Mika and Noah and almost everyone else on the campus who have seen them did, it was not even possible in her wildest dream.

She looked right into his eyes and gave him her special gentle smile, "yes. I would love that".

"Cool", Nate smiled back to her. He kept his gentleman personality up but his smile could tell the point of happiness he was at. "I'll be picking you up at 11 then. Sounds good?", he tilted his head.

"Yeah it's perfect", Grace giggled.

"ughhhhh", Mika was standing in between them frowning like she saw her nightmare happening. "But you can't do that!", she teared up. "I wanted to spend the holiday with you".

"Oh Mika", Grace got worried.

Noah sighed and got up. He went to Mika and held her hand, "come with me for a moment".

Mika got up and headed to the balcony with him.

The air outside was nice. A cool breeze was brushing her cheeks and her hair was dancing to the direction of the wind.

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't be doing this", Mika talked first, feeling bad about how she was behaving.

To not what she was expecting, Noah flicked her head.

"OW! What was that for?!", Mika got annoyed and teary again.

"I never said I took you here for scolding, did I?", Noah asked with a straight face.

"No…", Mika whispered in an almost inaudible voice.

"Then why were you apologizing?", he leaned to the balcony looking at her.

"Because… I was being selfish", she shrugged sadly.

Noah held her hand and pulled her closer. A little cry came out of Mika's mouth as she smashed herself onto him. He started patting her head. It was like he was patting a little doll because Mika could only reach his chest. "Isn't this little girl just afraid she would be left alone?", he smirked.

Mika was stunned. There was no way in freaking hell anyone could have guessed it. It was only supposed to be Grace's thing considering she had known her for almost her whole life. "N- no", Mika whispered in total embarrassment.

"Is that so?", Noah smirked. "Are you sure you would lie to me? You should know I get very mad at that", he whispered in her ears.

The flashbacks from the empty classroom started coming back to her mind. Her cheeks were flushed even with the thought of it. There was no way she could take that torture again.

"Okay! Fine! It's true. I accepted it", she tucked onto his shirt, smashing her face on his chest to hide her embarrassed face.

Noah patted her head. "That's like a good girl", he smirked.

Mika's face was burning up. This is definitely not what she had imagined Noah to be or any other guy to be! She used to tell Grace all the time that, "this is just a fantasy! How can such a guy ever exist?". But now, she actually saw someone like that, and to screw herself more she confessed him. She wasn't sure at all how she was supposed to take this all at once.

To get her out of this overthinking world, Noah took a step. "Here see this", he showed her a tab on his phone screen, on which 'Magico Amusement Park' was flashing in huge block letters.

Mika moved her eyes to take a peek and as she did, they got stuck to that one spot. Rides, cute stuffies, and lots of restaurants and cafes all at once? What's better than that? Her mouth was open and a secret sound of 'uwaaa', was coming out.

"If you don't wanna be alone, I can take you here tomorrow", Noah spoke.

Meanwhile, inside the room, Grace was really anxious about her decision.

"He's sure taking his sweet time", Nate peeked a little but he could not see either of them.

"Yeah. Now I think about what she said, I'm feeling a little sad.", Grace looked towards Nate. He could see that she was really worried about what happened a while ago. But they both were unaware f what was happening and what's going to happen.

"Grace!!!!!", Mika came rushing from the balcony.

"Mika! Slow down-", before she could go any further Mika jumped onto her and both of them ended up on the floor.

"What happened?", Grace chucked. It was too normal for her to be mad at something like this.

"You should go on the date! And don't worry! I'll get you ready and make you look pretty and send you off And I'm COMPLETELY okay with this", she hugged Grace tightly.

"Are you sure?", Grace patted her back.

"YESH!", she furiously nodded.

"Alright then", Grace smiled.

Noah stepped from behind.

"Well I knew you were skilled, but THAT was mighty impressive", Nate folded his arms and nodded.

"You can say it's something for my own greed", Noah smirked.

"What's that supposed to mean?", Grace overheard the conversation. She quickly turned to Mika and stared at her closely, "what are you planning to do?"

"Nothing…", she started doing her nervous whistles.

"You are not going to follow us, are you?", Nate questioned because he knew she could pull that off.

"Obviously not! Why would I interrupt my Grace's sweet time?", she frowned.

"It's nothing like that", Noah interrupted. "I'm just taking her to Magico", he shrugged.

"Magico? Now I know what this sudden change of mind was?", Grace shook her head in relief.

Mika giggled.

"It's not funny idiot", she nudged her cheek.

In return, she stuck out her tongue to Grace. Suddenly her eyes met Noah who was staring at her the whole time. His eyes were speaking out loud that what she did was quite a misbehave. Her cheeks were flushed and she quickly turned her face away.

"What was this sudden change?", Nate asked Grace.

"Let's just say that Noah is taking Mika to what she considers 'heaven on earth'", Grace smirked.

"Oh, I see. I somehow feel like this guy knows everything", Nate chuckled.

"Oh shut up! An hey!", Mika got closer to Nate's face. "I'm warning you! If you did something perverted with her, I'll kick you in the balls!", she twisted her eyebrows and frowned.

"Well I can't promise anything", Nate winked, leaving Grace all blushed up. He moved Mika a little bit away from him. "And what makes you think I'm a pervert anyway?", he squinted at her.

"Do you want me to remind you of the time when you were kissing my best friend without even wearing a shirt?", she smirked at him.

"Then should I remind you of the time when you were about to do something definitely more than a kiss with him?", he pointed at Noah.

"That was his move!", Mika pointed at him too.

"Then what about when you made his lap your own little seat?!"

"He did that too! And what are you accusing me of? You pushed her on the floor?!"

"It was an accident!"

"I don't think so PERVERT!"

"I don't even trust you with her!"

"Well, you should! I can take care of her as no one can!"

"Oh really?! I can bet you would be going against your words!"

"Then I wanna be a part of this bet! So that I could laugh on your face in the end!"

"Overconfidence leads to crying!"

"Well tell yourself that!"

Grace and Noah were looking at them like they were watching some cheap third grade stand up. At some point, they wanted to kick both of them out.

"Hey ", Grace poked Noah. "I don't see the end of it, do you wanna have a drink outside?".

"Anything but this comedy, so sure", Noah nodded.

They both took some drinks out of the fridge and went out to the balcony. Mika and Nate were so busy arguing, they didn't even know that Grace and Noah had left.

At that time the chaos had a weird melody wrapped abound it. The simple balcony talks, pointless arguing, having snacks, it might not sound like that but this was the most relaxing spot for all four of them.

On this day, none of them was aware, that this chaotic night would become their regular hangout. Their happy place was building itself without anyone's notice. This day was the start of their deep bond, not only for love but for the friendship like no one else ever imagined.
