Nightmare

That was the worst nightmare I had ever since I started to have dreams, and it is not clear whether it's some warning or what. However, in that dream, Xavier's eyes were dead cold. As if he were ready to slay someone, in other terms, a cold-blooded murderer.

The bloodlust that he was emitting was fearsome. Seeing him like that makes you feel that it was really him. Whatever it was, I hope that it was only just a dreadful nightmare. Because after three years of disappearance, that's the first thing you'll see.

I shouldn't give it that much thought since it will only haunt me for the whole day or even an entire month.

'What was that all about, Xavier? Are you trying to tell me something? Is that why the first appearance you have shown me after three years of disappearance is you sitting in a chair tied while below a spotlight? Are you trying to foretell the future that will happen once you regain consciousness and regain control of your body?'

'Are you the one behind this nightmare? Or is this just a dream that your mind shown me since we share the same body? Please, I need answers to my question. The anxiety that this causes me is far too great for my way of thinking.'

'Feel my wrath. What was that all about? Why did you say something like that? And also, the look in your eyes when you stated that phrase is terrifying. However, please remember what I have to say, Xavier. Sacrificing all that I have will not be enough, so I'll erase my existence for the sake of your sanity.'

"Calling for the attention of all those who are in duty for the day, please proceed to the grounds. Thank you," A sudden announcement from the broadcast room. Then heard some indistinct chattering from outside my cell.

"These bastards, be calling us like some slaves. They ain't gonna do anything If I retaliate that crap."

"You ain't nothing compared to those crap in the west wing. Some serious crime dogs from foreign countries."

"Hell is wrong with these Japanese peeps! Hey, shut up, you're hurting my ears."

"Who in their right mind said that? Get out of here and confront us, some freak from overseas."

How lively to start the day with arguments from different countries. I didn't notice it until recently, but this is how we spend every morning. Every inmate is trying to prove who is the strongest among everyone in this prison. Countless fights from individuals, and then some just like to follow around people who act tough.

Yeah, this is the life that Xavier had to experience if he was the one controlling the body.

"Calling the attention of Inmate 1229, you are to proceed to the canteen for cafeteria duties," A broadcast calling my attention for cafeteria work.

Out of all the work provided in this prison is being a staff in the cafeteria. You cannot eat for about two to four hours without breakfast since you need to prepare hundreds of meals for the entire prison. Which is consisting of five thousand inmates and three thousand officers.

You can decline the work that's been assigned to you. However, things will start to be messy as soon as you disobey their orders. And I wouldn't like that, so I have no other choice but to follow their orders and be the model inmate. So I can have the chance to speak with a person higher than the President.

'Alright enough chitchat, need to hurry. The officers are being impatient.'

Working at the cafeteria, the thought of Xavier's sentence suddenly came to mind. The judge gave the verdict of ten to fifteen years of imprisonment. Basically, there are still seven to twelve more years left in my sentence.

Definitely, a long time to waste, but there is still the possibility of being pardoned. And that is definitely the only ticket left to freedom, plus maybe if I will be able to be liberated. There will be the most considerable probability that Xavier will finally return to the real world.

As time passed by, I was lost in thought that I didn't notice my shift ended. Well, I have free time so it might be better to spend it with Abe and the others. Gone through time, I arrived at the place of wonders. Not the actual meaning of it, but Imagine a place where people gathered with different life experiences.

Just by sitting in the corner, you'll get to learn more about life in a snap of a finger. For an alternate personality like me, this place is the library meant to have books. Rather than plain papers covered with hard shells, what I have here is much more valuable than any other things.

I have met these people only for a few hours, and not even a day has passed from the moment I met them. However, I have grown more attached to them than I could ever think of. A place where people share their ideas of life, their experiences, their hardships, and how they overcame such situations is what truly is inspiring.

Still, I am stuck in the reality that I am just an alternate personality without a body he can call his own. Countless expectations from someone who can disappear in no time, right? If this is all the time I have left as a person, I can call myself. Then Xavier dont mind me if I do things for fun.

Nevertheless, to start with it, the first goal I have in mind is you already know it. This is to help these people suffering from the wrath of injustice.

"Abe, Can I talk to you for a second? In private, if we must," I requested to talk with Abe.

"What for?" He responded.

"This is important, so I can't actually tell you this in here," I answered to his response.

Both of us went to a place where there is no other than the two of us. I shared the knowledge that I have, and as he heard the plan that I have prepared. He was hesitant at first but from the looks of his eyes. Abe cannot conceal the happiness in his heart.

"Wait, let me get this straight. You have a way for all of us to be free again from this prison?" Abe happily asked.

"Uhm, Abe, Hello, you still there? Yes, Abe, I have a plan for all of you to experience freedom and the outside world again. However, this is a long process that I need to work on, so dont get your hopes up. All I ask of you is to prepare everyone for the danger it will cost. Because this plan has a higher risk of pissing that dog Daku," I answered Abe's question.

"You just need to say the word, and the plan will start right away. Think it through because this will put you in harm's way. Do you want to live half of your life in this prison without taking any risk but still cope with Daku's insecurity? Or do you want to take a leap of faith to freedom itself? I cannot decide for all of you but for the people inside. You are considered to be their leader, and the leader will choose the best choice out of them all," I added to my response.

Therefore, his resolve was contained.

"I accept your offer," he says.

From this moment onward, I shall use the remaining years of my imprisonment to help these people who endured the cruelty of the world. What I have done may put the danger of the people in my hands. But for the freedom that every one of us desires, I have equipped myself with the determination to move forward.

And to never again look at the past that pulls Xavier back, regardless of what Alternate or not. Both of us share the same ideal and as long as we can, until the extent of our strength. We will offer our lives for the betterment of others. This idea isn't shameful but rather noble.

An ordinary person with the goal of many, I shall seek what others cannot carry. Like Xavier would have stated, I will be the shield of honor from the attacks acquired from the sword of injustice. With the trust of many, the betrayal that was once feared by Xavier will never happen again. As I'll provide him with people that will hand him their loyalty.

People tend to give you their full trust if you helped them in their times of need. This is the knowledge that Xavier lacked the most and is the same cause of his being easily betrayed by people around him. His kindness is top-notch. That made him different from others, and it resulted in everyone tends to use him for their own personal agenda.

If only Xavier knew this knowledge, then maybe life could be a lot easier for him.

Enough with these thoughts, as I should start to gain more information to help with the mission I have prepared for myself. Interviewing many people to gain more intel about Daku is tiring when almost half of the whole prison considers him the boss.

It left me no other choice but to ask the friend of Xavier, which is an officer. The one whom I talked with last night.
