Chapter 4

Laila watched above in the sky watching Tessa screw up her life. Laila felt bad for Larkin getting denied by a Princess who stole his heart as a child. Laila's father Lycan has bright blonde hair, blue eyes, standing six feet six inches and weighing one hundred eighty pounds. He cleared his throat saying,

"Princess, Tessa will be okay, you can't watch her all the time."

Laila loved her dad eventually rubbing her eyes replying,

"I wish she wasn't so evil. I am hoping to become more her friend and get close to Larkin."

Lycan raised a brow responding,

"Larkin? Is he a new crush?"

Laila chuckled shaking her head no replying,

"No, he is in love with Tessa and I want to set them up since her parent's made her turn down the proposal."

Lycan patted her head responding,

"Unfortunately you can't do that. She is Queen without a King as it is."

Laila sighed in frustration replying,

"What do I have to do to get them together without ruining awful laws?"

That is when her mother Kaylee came in with her bright red hair, green eyes, standing five feet six inches and one hundred thirty pounds. Kaylee sat beside her saying,

"Like you're dad said you can't do that. Larkin and Tessa will end up going separate ways, he will marry off and have a family, Tessa will be in the same boat with a Prince in one of the Kingdom's."

Laila sighed heavily looking down at Tessa wishing being in love with a young woman was so easy. Laila is seventeen only a year older than Tessa, Tessa became even worse after she revealed that she is supposed to be a Queen aka Gothic Princess. Laila felt like she could break trying to fight her emotions for a dark princess.

Laila paced her room back and forth knowing she had to sit back and watch Tessa destroy her family and friends. Laila sighed in frustration not wanting to see what could happen next to this evil princess. Laila took a deep breath than flew down to earth to see her desirable lover. Laila wanted nothing more than to make Tessa understand that she can't prison her parent's forever. She knew devoting her soul to Tessa would make everything better including for Larkin. Laila arrived at Evigon flying into the dining room, she gracefully landed on the ground and spoke to the sky saying in her thoughts,

"Heavenly Father, Lycan please shift me into human so that way I can get to know Tessa more."

Laila's wings disappeared along with her special glow that made her angelic. Larkin looked at Laila with his mouth wide open than ran over to her as he approached her whispering,

"What are you doing here Laila?"

Laila smirked whispering back,

"I am here to get you and Gothic Princess together."

Larkin shook his head replying,

"You can't do that because now she is claiming that is if they want her to marry she wants to be with a woman that does love and appreciate her."

Laila thought to herself this is perfect. Laila stood proudly looking at Larkin saying,

"Our dear Princess is now going to become my girlfriend if it's the last thing I do. I can't go home until she comes with me."

Larkin rolled his eyes replying,

"Laila, you are going to get in trouble with her father just as much as I did and all I did was given my heart to her."

Laila chuckled quietly responding,

"Larkin, it isn't up to her parent's to decide whom she officiates with."

Larkin walked away from Laila shaking his head no back and forth in disbelief from her. Laila heard a young woman holler for Larkin once again. Laila knew at that moment it was Tessa so she skimmed herself in the mirror across the room as Tessa came storming in, Laila turned around that both their eyes locked. Laila took a deep breath mesmerized by her looks that instantly glimmered beautiful to her soft figure. Tessa approached Laila, Tessa cleared her throat saying,

"Who are you? Why are you in my Kingdom?"

Laila gave a small smile replying,

"You don't remember me?"

Tessa raised a brow responding,

"Am I supposed to?"

Laila walked closer to Tessa though Tessa backed up saying,

"Stop right where you are."

Laila stopped, Tessa spoke again,

"Tell me who you are and where is your Kingdom? Or I will put you in the dungeon with my parent's."

Laila sighed in frustration replying,

"I am Selena Bristol from Kingdom Ruitha at you're service."

Tessa laughed out loud responding,

"Bristol, what are you Laila's friend without wings?"

Laila shook her head yes replying,

"Actually I am her dear friend."

Tessa scratched her chin responding,

"Why are you here? Where is Laila?"

Laila sighed knowing she had to keep this impersonation going so Tessa wouldn't figure her out quite yet with that she replied,

"Laila is busy with her father and I am here to keep her job in line on watching you."

Tessa shrugged her shoulder's responding,

"Fine, stay out of my way though, I have had enough to deal with."

Laila shook her head up and down quickly. Larkin came to her side quickly whispering,

"Why didn't you tell her who you really are?"

Laila chuckled whispering back,

"Because Tessa would hate me becoming human and ruining her life, so I am taking chances on making her believe I am my best friend from Ruitha."

Larkin grabbed her by the arm replying,

"You are asking for trouble from Tessa that you keep playing games with her."

Laila pulled her arm back responding,

"I am a Angel, Larkin, what would you like me to do?"

Larkin growled lowering his voice replying,

"I would like you to do as she says and keep your distance."

Laila wanted nothing more than to make everything better sighing heavily she could sense Larkin feeling her tension. Larkin sighed rolling his eyes responding,

"Laila, you are in dangerous territory with Tessa, she's already hated by her parents and her sister is snobby since finding out Tessa became Queen without a King."

Laila shrugged her shoulder's replying,

"Who's her sister? What is fixing to go down besides what has already been done?"

Larkin shook his head no back and forth responding,

"Gracelyn Hyland is Tessa's adopted sister, she's young and doesn't understand everything. As for anything else going down that can be quite a bit if you aren't careful. You should've never told her she had a future to rule."

Laila bowed her head low replying,

"I know now it is going to be harder to get her to realize me."

Larkin patted her shoulder responding,

"Only time can tell, let's get you to a room before it becomes any later and I am sure you are exhausted."

Laila nodded at that moment they walked side by side to her own room that is in this massive Kingdom that is so breath taking with every black and purple detail floating around.
