Chapter 5

They reached the castle faster than the crew even though Laila went to grab them and explain to Tessa how she got her wings back after their spiritual kiss. Gracelyn only wanted to meet her future if Hildegard she is. She couldn't understand how Laila could make a big deal out of their kiss that she enforced. Gracelyn looked over at Korin who looked pissed off at the fact that they ran off into the woods to begin with. Gracelyn took this chance to knock on the castle door as Laila flew up to see if the Hildegard would come down to meet them all. It took all Gracelyn could not to storm into the castle herself. Before she could knock again Laila came down and said to give Hildegard about ten minutes, she needed to look presentable and that her parents aren't home to make a welcome for her job as future Queen.

Ten minutes passed quickly as Hildegard finally opened the door to reveal her beauty that made Gracelyn's heart skip a beat. She had long brown hair, green eyes, a beautiful dark red dress that filled her curves and her red toenails underneath the dress. Gracelyn had to swallow deep.

"Welcome to Kingdom Shovia of England. I am Princess Hildegard and I will help you to your rooms for your stay." Hildegard said with making room for everyone to walk in.

Gracelyn walked in last as Hildegard grabbed her hand in hers then placed a soft kiss to her knuckles. She wasn't used to being greeted that way in a new foreign country.

"You must be Gracelyn, I am so happy to meet another Princess but let me get your friends settled and we will go spend time together because I want to know another future Queen." Hildegard said softly to Gracelyn.

Gracelyn nodded as their hands left one another that sent a spark through her spine. Gracelyn watched as Laila laid jealous eyes upon her that made her feel still ashamed for not giving Laila a chance though she still had Lucy back at Evigon that she could go back too. Gracelyn stayed in the foyer of the beautiful castle that looked like her own back in Evigon but with much more gold. It took all she could not to move from where she stood but before she could make an attempt Laila approached her.

"I am not staying. I am not needed by either you or Tessa. You wish to marry Hildegard then my best wishes but I will not let our spark fade. Think of me as I leave. I am going back to my own home since I can't be with Lucy either since my destiny is to be your Queen of Evigon. Goodbye, Gracelyn." Laila left the foyer and that was the last I ever saw of her without even my own words.

Gracelyn tried not to break down and cry over now that Laila won't be able to see her anymore or be her companion through their adventures that she had planned but it was her fault that they had fought to begin with. Then as she began wrapping her thoughts Hildegard came down the stairs in her heels that clacked against the floor as it echoed. Gracelyn approached Hildegard at the steps with a fake smile.

"You look so beautiful coming down the steps." Gracelyn said politely.

"Thank you, you're friends are all settled and was that Tessa Jones as in Princess Tessa Jones in my own Kingdom?" Hildegard asked.

"You're welcome, yes, that is my sister." Gracelyn replied, still keeping her fake smile.

"Wait, but your last name is Hyland and not Jones like the rest of the family. You aren't even in History Books like Tessa." Hildegard responded as she tilted her head sideways.

"I was adopted, let's go to a library to talk or to the dining room table. I need some alcohol to keep me from being over emotional and would hate to ruin my make-up that I applied on the ship." Gracelyn suggested.

Gracelyn felt Hildegard grabbing her hand again and guided her down the halls of the castle as she looked at every statue, painting, and anything that shined so beautifully it felt like a whole new world. Gracelyn tried to forget about Laila Kingston and it made that much harder to keep it together for Hildegard. Reaching the double doors of a section she didn't recognize but once Hildegard opened it my jaw dropped at the amazement of books that they had stored. It took over a good chunk of the castle as the library had so many books.

"My parents love books and they had this built. There is another section of the castle that is getting worked on for more books to be stored. This part of the castle is filled with everything imaginable and I couldn't wait to get off school to spend my days here." Hildegard said, smiling still holding Gracelyn's hand.

"Wow, so you did homework in here too after school and stayed the night here?" Gracelyn asked, removing her hand from Hildegard's.

"Yes, and I had my first kiss, sex with a girl in her, and much more. My parents were always gone so I did whatever I wanted as long as I followed most rules which was never to bring a boy home not unless I plan on marrying him." Hildegard replied.

"Wait you are lesbian too? Korin never said that. I don't even know if I like girls and I am only seventeen. My parents want me married off next year but I am not sure that is feasible." Gracelyn responded.

"Is that a term they call girls who like girls? I didn't even know. I just know that I like the feel, touch and surroundings of girls' soft skin on mine." Hildegard replied turning bright red.

"That is what my sister Tessa said. I am assuming it is." Gracelyn responded.

Gracelyn sat on the floor without wanting a chair but had a pillow against her back as Hildegard laid with her and all Gracelyn could do was play with her long hair that went down to her back.
