Chapter 23

Natalie headed inside to the hotel, made her way to the front desk and made her room arrangements. It took thirty minutes to find her room then getting her bags as she settled for the night. Natalie couldn't believe that she is left alone in her world with no kids, no man or woman, now lonely as tears flowed down her eyes. Natalie slowly drifted off to sleep on the bed that is only for her as she heard pounding on her door, it startled her completely since she wasn't expecting anyone, and as she slowly went to look through the peephole she noticed it wasn't a joke that Sarah Starr is still alive and pissed off.

"Let me in, Natalie. Yes, I know your name. Now open up!" Sarah demanded.

Natalie unlocked the door then let her in as she smiled.

"So, you have been crying over Amber, isn't that sweet. Game is over toots, my wife still belongs to me and you along with Journey will be out of her life. I want Amber alone to realize that I have never left. I have faked my death to see if their were other women involved. Turns out, she has loved me all along and I am going to win her back from both of you. I got rid of you, now to get rid of Journey." Sarah said with vile in her voice.

Natalie couldn't comprehend anything that is going on. She stood their utterly speechless as she watched a woman that is supposed to be dead from cancer take over someone's life because to prove something that never existed to begin with. Natalie couldn't make sense of this at all. Natalie nervously watched Sarah move close to her and her stomach began to churn. It took all she could not to fall behind the chair in the room as she moved it out of the way.

"Don't be scared. I want to show you how good I can be since Amber misses me so much." Sarah said with a smirk.

Natalie knew fighting this would be bad for her if she didn't comply with Sarah though all she had to do was remember when she made love to Amber and it would fly by faster. Natalie lost train of thought as Sarah's lips crashed with hers and her hands tangled into Sarah's long hair. Natalie took in every ounce of Sarah taking in her body and followed her rhythm. Their bodies were intertwined with one another that Natalie had to try and gather her thoughts though once finished she fell asleep. Natalie knew going back to Amber would be a bad idea since she slept with her ex wife to make a point that they did belong together and it broke her heart more than Amber being with Journey. Natalie's tears fell hard when she woke up to the bright morning sun, she then contacts Sheila to let her know what happened to let Amber know of the game that Sarah has led everyone onto that she isn't dead and very much alive that Journey should be careful too.

Natalie gathered herself together then went to shower for a way to get rid of Sarah's smell on her. She had to scrub hard as if she needed a reminder that the woman is alive and well. As if on cue the hotel patron knocked on her door to tell her that she needs to leave for someone else to have the room or pay another day. Natalie got herself dressed then packed her overnight bag again, she left the room leaving everything of that night behind her as she saw her car parked across the lot with someone inside it. Natalie walked toward her car to see that it was Amber, Amber had been waiting for her...oh shit she thought. I got into the passenger side of the car without looking at Amber as I stuffed my bag into the backseat.

"Natalie, look at me." Amber demanded.

Natalie looked at the beautiful woman that captured her heart.

"What did Sarah do to you? I am not losing you to anyone that includes Journey and Sarah." Amber said sternly making her point.

"But...but Sarah is watching you and Journey is in love with you still as much as Sarah is too." Natalie replied, trying to fight more tears.

"Sarah is dead to me and has been for the past couple years. Journey is a desperate woman but a good friend, so I friend zoned her because I am in love with you and have been since we met. Now what did my ex do to you?" Amber demanded without missing a beat.

"She locked me in my own hotel room and had sex with me." Natalie replied as her body shook from what happened.

"That bitch!" Amber yelled into the car loudly slamming the steering wheel with her fists.

Natalie hated when Amber would outburst with fumes but she knew that keeping it a secret would ruin everything they had accomplished this far. Natalie did have to know how in the world did Amber get to her when the house is two hours away.

"Amber, how did you get here? This is a two hour trip from the house?" Natalie asked.

"Taxi driver that dropped you off came back looking for you but I told him I needed to find you. He wanted to give you this that was found in your bag from your parents, I am assuming." Amber handed the folded paper over.

Natalie unfolded the paper to read that she has been divorced for over a year now. That meant her ex-husband didn't need her to file. She felt stunned but also happy meaning she could eventually marry Amber.

"I have been divorced from my ex husband for over a year now, we didn't need another lawyer or anything. I can call my lawyer and give him the good news that it has been over before I left him. I can't believe my parents hid this from me, I should say that my mother hid it." Natalie smiled with a giddy and big smile on her face.

"Now neither of them can bother you but I am still legally married to Sarah that has put a big dent into this and that means I will have to file for divorce along with stating that she is alive and well for a woman faking her death to assume I have cheated on her. Journey showed me the internet on her phone before I knew I had to track you down. Natalie, this journey has been long and hard but I am not giving up on us. Sarah is dead to me as a wife and I want it to stay that way. You are more human than she is." Amber replied, kissing Natalie's knuckles.

Natalie understood as she kissed Amber with a moan escaping her lips. They both released the kiss as Amber put the car in gear and drove back to her home to get Sarah out.
