Gone mad

"Look who's stupidly freaking out right now." Justine put down the cereals and the fresh milk coming from his own ref.

I scowled at him, giving him the unbelievable look and of course, a smile from remembering how sweet Nathan is to me that night two days ago, that actually charges electricity to my nerves and bugs me every now and then.

Of course, who wouldn't?

Nathan is just hot as the Meteor Garden Leading man. But in that drama, I do prefer Vaness Wu.

"After that night, your prince charming haven't contacted you?" He asked after a spoon full of corn flakes.

I poured milk to mine and nodded. "He's busy with his residency." I said, trying to be as considerate girl he would ever had.

"Isn't it he regrets the kiss?"

I wanted to throw Justine the spoon I was holding. In this world, my only best friend, always had to put negative thoughts on my positive thinking.

"Shut your mouth if you had nothing good to say."

I brushed off his shoulder, busied himself by feeding himself and with the music video of a boy group he idolized so much.

We remained silent as we focused ourselves in our breakfast. Starting tomorrow, Justine will go fasting and so we decided to full ourselves with foods we ought to eat so much.

His extreme radiation therapy will start the next day after tomorrow. That's why I'm sticking beside him a lot, he had no family member to either take care or visit him from time to time, as his best friend, I think, this is the least thing I could do for him.

"Sleep here, tonight until the end of my therapy." He said in between of his busy eyes and mouth.

I just nodded. Agreeing to what he said that is actually my plan. I already asked my mom for permission and he's so lucky that I was staying beside him.

But I forgot Mother Amy, another person whom I recently heard from the nurses that will take a transplant and is scheduled by next next week.

I poked Justine as I put my bowl to the sink and leaned my back.

"What?" He started washing the dishes and didn't look at me.

"Let's visit Mother Amy."

"Why would I?"

"Hey!" I hit him on his shoulder that he eventually caressed.

"She's getting a transplant soon!"

"I'm getting radiation therapy soonest!"

"Whatever."

I walked up to his bed and kept on changing the chanel. Justine is not close with Mother Amy. I don't know the reason behind the awkwardness but when meeting her sometimes, I dragged him out of his nest and hang out with us. He can't protest.

"You're going or you're going?"

He wiped off the water in his hand and sat down beside me.

"What's the difference of the choices?"

"Answer me."

"I had no choice, right?"

"Good!"

I smiled at him and focused my self on the television while he was scrolling thru his phone. Lunch that day, we both decided to visit mother Amy that time.

When we arrived, I knock on the door three times before opening it. There I saw mother Amy getting feed by her daughter. We greeted and waved at her and gave her the fruits I had in my room.

"What's with this lunch visit?" MotherAmy asked.

I shook my head, "Nothing much."

Justine walked after me and so stayed in standing beside me. Mother Amy looked at him, smiling and offered the chair beside me.

"Get your butt in here, Justine."

He obeyed mother Amy quietly and sat down. She and I had talked a lot of good interesting stuffs and when the doctor came, she was told to do fasting at dinner because they had found a donor.

I am happy. We clapped in happiness and I even hugged mother Amy, wishing her a successful operation for her so she could get out of this hospital.

"Can we go back now and leave her? She needs to rest." Justine whispered at me.

I pinched his arm and glared at him.

She heard what Justine have said and just smiled at us. I know he thought about the operation but I was thinking of staying here, to be more polite because we only have spend less than an hour.

"It's all right, Herra. Go back and take a rest too." She said.

"But.."

"I am fine. I am here with my eldest daughter."

"Right!" Her eldest daughter commented.

We exchange few glances at each other before we turned against them and walked away after waving mother Amy a good bye.

When we finally got out, I hit Justine and gave him a death glare. Aside from mother Amy who treats me like her own daughter, there's her eldest daughter who treats me like a family as well. I would like to stay so she can take a rest since I know she had been here for days now.

"What the hell?"

"You should have gone alone."

"Then why did you go out?"

"I want to punch you."

"Go on, and try."

"Aish!"

For that very moment, we saw Nathan walking along with my sister, both are smiling from ear to ear, and is talking like they are the only people in the world. I mean, yes, they can talk but there shouldn't be any of those eyes that shines so brightly. There's no need any of that.

"Look who's freaking out again?"

I hit Justine and drag him on the other way, avoiding the weird encounter.

"Why are you even hiding?"

"I don't know, I just do."

He giggled, held my hands and led me to the direction which we both haven't gone yet, not only until after that we arrived at the most back part of the hospital. Seeing the number of babies who just got out of their mother's tummy. All of them are pre-matured. I can see lots of parents looking after their child over the glass wall.

"It's amazing."

"I know, right."

"Did I ask you?"

"No."

"You're so annoying these days!"

"Then don't be so stupid! Just by looking at you, I'm so irritate that I want to crash that jerk's head."

"Do you want me to crash your own head down there?"

"Are you one of the parents?"

"No!" We both said in chorus, realizing that we're shouting at the nurse who came to ask about something.

"Sorry about that."

"It's fine."

"Are you the mother of Hilary?"

Hilary? Who's hilary?

"No."

"Oh sorry."

By that, Justine smiled at him, held my wrist, dragged me around somewhere like his puppy. I didn't protest and just rolled my eyes.

Sometimes, I don't know if Justine had gone mad or he's just kind of crazy?
