It was three and half in the morning, Marissa's group finally arrived at a very large land somewhere inside the North Forest. Ever since the incident when Marissa's blood was tested, the attitude of the Old Divine Tiger was like the attitude of an old man that Marissa knew when she was on Earth, who was always flattering the rich customers who came to visit his store.
Even the four tigers who followed together were dumbfounded. Where was the fierce Divine Tiger that they knew before? Where was the old tiger who was wise and full of charisma that they were familiar with prior to this? Where was the majestic tiger who battled the many experts from the human tribe? What the heck happened? He even told them to kowtow to the young girl who looked like human, a tribe that they hate the most in the recent years, because human started to hunt them for some unknown reason! Why would the Old Divine Tiger do that? Was he possessed?
Although they felt indignant, they couldn't do anything. The Old Divine Tiger who came together with them in order to search for the tiger hunters was a Void Master Expert after all. In the future, he would surely become a Monarch. By then, aside from the ambitious Second Uncle, only this Old Divine Tiger who stood beside them, their eldest uncle, who would inherit the throne and become the next King of the North Forest. What can they do? If they oppose his decision, they would be accused for rebellion in the future when he became the ruler. What a headache!
"Here we are, Little Ancestor. Let me take you to your room, so you could rest well tonight. I will report to His Majesty about the incident today, so some of the stupid big cats wouldn't trouble Little Ancestor when she stays here." Uncle Huth, the name of the Old Divine Tiger, said with great assurance that Marissa couldn't help but smiled because of the hospitality he showed to her group.
'Stupid Big Cats? Aren't you also a big cat?' Marissa's mouth twitched.
"Alright. Thank you, Uncle Huth." Marissa said humbly.
"It's alright, Little Ancestor. Don't mention it. Let's go inside." Uncle Huth beckoned for everyone to go inside the huge castle of the Tiger Race.
"Okay." Everyone nodded.
...
Inside a certain room at the Tiger's Castle...
"My God, I'm so tired. I finally have a chance to get some rest. Since I come to this world two days ago, There are so many things happened. I've joined the Chicken-Fighting the moment I arrived in this world, and then attended the banquet, destroying the Gelang-gelang sect despite their headquarter still couldn't be found yet, and then I'm going on a journey to the North Forest, trapped inside a 'Snail Threats', battling a group of tiger, and now I'm staying in the den of a bunch of tigers."
"This whole experiences, if I told anyone on Earth, they will send me directly to the Mental Hospital to recuperate." Marissa sighed. "I didn't expect there would be many things happened in just two days of my arrival."
"I should sleep now. Tomorrow, I will talk with Uncle Huth to build a shop in the middle territory of this forest. I will ask him which area the hunters usually gather and camp. That way, it would be much easier for me to gain customers. Hehehe... I can't wait to find out what the rewards for this second main mission." Marissa mumbled and after only a few seconds her head touched the pillow, she already drifted away from reality to the metaphysical world.
...
It's two o'clock in the afternoon...
The sun was not that hot this time. There was even a sign that it was about to get rain. The clouds in the higher mountain looked darker as time passed. Nevertheless, this situation didn't hinder the intention of the ruler of the North Forest to conduct a meeting.
Many of the higher-ups of the Tiger Tribe were now gathering at the big and spacious hall. The Old King, Iath Sitelpang, was now sitting on his majestic throne. However, his old face looked a little haggard and pale now. His skin was wrinkled, he looked thin and malnourished as if he hadn't gotten a proper meals for a very long time, or it looked like he was in a terribly sick.
Marissa was asked to sit near the old king, whereas Kamandhanu and Prince Anusapati weren't allowed to enter. It made both the men feeling so worry, especially Kamandhanu. However, as they couldn't do anything, they could only waited outside obediently.
...
"Everyone, you must have a knowledge regarding our history for over a million years prior to this. Although many of us here thought it was just a legend, but I believe that many of us wouldn't defy our ancestors if they really stood in front of us, right?" After speaking this many sentences, the old king suddenly coughed really hard that his face was getting paler. He looked really weak.
"Ancestor!" Everyone shouted and fall into panic.
"Calm down! Calm down, everyone. I'm still not deat, yet. Why are you all so lively?" The Old King waved his hand.
All the higher-ups instantly get back to their seats. Marissa looked at them and felt awed. All the higher-ups of the tiger tribe were all in the Seventh Stage, Void realms. The weakest among them were five personnels who were in the Sixth Stage, peak level of Nascent Soul.
Other than the Old King who was at the Eight Stage, advanced level of Monarch, the highest level was at the Void Master, advanced level. They were the Old Divine Tiger that came to attack Marissa's group previously, Uncle Huth, and the other individual was a middle aged man, who looked fierce and ruthless even in his human form.
"Mr. Angel, isn't that the spiritual creatures in this world would be able to turn into human when they get into the level of Void Master. That's why sometimes, Void Master also called as Void Transformation in the cycle of the Spiritual Creature? Then, why do I see that five of the tiger tribe's members who were only at the Nascent Soul could now turn into their human form?" Marissa asked Mr. Angel in telepathy.
[It's not absoulte]
[Some of the Spiritual Creatures with superior tier of blood would be able to turn into their human form when they were only Nascent Soul or even earlier]
[The fastest one that could turn their form was them who were from the Phoenix Tribe, Dragon Tribe, Garuda Tribe, Tiger Tribe, and they who were part of the rare Tribe or Mythological Tribe]
[However, that type of tribes now were very hard to come by]
[It's been more than fifty thousand years since they last seen in the human realm]
"I see... I wonder when will I could turn myself into a human as I wish. It can't be that I had to wait until I truly become a Void Master expert, right?" Marissa muttered.
...
As Marissa was busy conversing with Mr. Angel through telepathy, there were suddenly many gasps and exclamations from the bunch of the tiger tribe's higher-ups. Their expression were vary. There were astonishment, awe, shocked, agitation, and many more emotions. Nevertheless, there were also a few of the individuals who attended this meeting, possessed the expression of dislike, doubt, and anger. It was unknown for what reason they were angry.
Marissa observed and made a note one by one the expression of the individuals inside the hall and tried to remember their faces.
After looking up to the air above, she knew the reason why the members of the tiger tribe possessed various expressions. It was actually because high up in the air inside the hall, the Old King conjured a spell that enable to show the record of something. Currently, he showed a video record when Marissa was doing a blood test by the Old Divine Tiger. The video showed the whole situation clearly, including the strange phenomena where the phantom of the giant tiger and giant black rooster, how the giant tiger bowed to the black rooster and what they were talking about.
The moving images incurred various expression and opinions from the onlookers. Even Marissa had a hard time to digest the information. After that incident, Marissa never thought too deep about the incident because she was too tired. Now that she saw the record of the incident, she fell into daze. She started to question her origin and background.
What kind of chicken that could even make the tiger race bowed to it? Why did that phantoms of images appeared during the time she was doing a blood test? What's the relationship between her and that giant black chicken? Was it her ancestor in this parallel world? If it was her ancestor, why was she here? Was she abandoned by her family because she was a hybrid just like the cliché stories she often read when she was on Earth? Who was it that hailed from the chicken race? Was it her mother? Or her father? Where are they now?
There were so many questions, making her head felt dizzy.
'I should stop thinking about it for now. Even if I want to know, I should investigate it slowly and secretly. If I looked so eager to find my origin, the enemy who knew my background would use it as a bargain chip to fool me. Might as well enjoy my life in this wonderful world. If I'm abandoned by family, then so be it. Let's just live on our own separated way. No need to create a new grudge! But if they want to disturbed my peaceful life after abandoning me... Hmph! Let's see what would happen by then!'
'I'm a chicken who doesn't like history.'
'I was reborn into this world to create my own history, not to follow your useless rules and arrangement! I am my own author of my fate!'
'If your arrangement wants me to die, then I will make it tobe the opposite.'
Marissa's eyes gleamed with determination.
...
Back into the hall...
Everyone began to whispered one with another. Everytime they speak, they would turned their gaze at Marissa and observed her carefully. There were a few fellow tigers who looked at her with adoration and respect, there were some who looked at her with pure curiosity. Other than that, there were also some who showed their hostility, doubt, and dislikes. The worst thing was, a few of them even looked at her blatantly with a lustful look that made her feeling disgusted. Although now she was disguised herself, but she still looked beautiful.
"Silent!" The Old King grunted. Instantly, the crowd turned quiet afterward.
The Old King stood up and suddenly bowed to Marissa with great respect, which made the crowd gasped in antonished. The Old King actually bowed to this little human? Even if she wasn't a human, she was only a little chicken. She probably wouldn't even awaken her bloodline in her entire life time, right? They had heard the prophecy that the descendant of that 'individual' would come to this world and bring them glory and keep them from extinction just like the other mythology creatures who were nowhere in sight at this current era.
However, when talking about glory, the savior that was on their mind should be an expert who was at least on par with their old king, not a little chicken like what was in front of them. It can't be that the Great Individual's descendant which the Old King was talking about was this little girl in human form, right? Looking at her young age, she must be only at Nascent Soul. What's the use of a Nascent Soul Expert for their tribe? There's no different at all whether she came to their tribe or not.
"Why do you all still sit leisurely there? Why don't you all kneel down at once now?" The Old King hollered loudly, forcing him to cough again. "Cough... cough..."
"This person beside me is the descendant of the friend of our Old Ancestor, which also made her as our Little Ancestor. I hope from now on, you could show your respect to Her Highness." The Old King said seriously in a very solemn voice.
"All of you, bow now!" The Old King looked at his clansmen with his sharp eyes. Although he seemed like he wasn't far away from his coffin, he still a Monarch level beast after all. In another words, he was also called as 'Sacred Beast', whose power only below the Supreme Beast in the entire Nusantara Continent.
Not wanting to agitate the Old King again, all the higher-ups in the room finally bowed to Marissa, whether they were willingly do it, or they were only forced to bow because of the order of the Old King, they still bowed to Marissa.
"Very good." The Old King nodded in satisfaction when he found out that his own clansmen still want to listen to his order.
"Little Ancestor. This place is yours from now on. You could order everyone as you wish." The Old King smiled at Marissa warmly. "My time in this world wouldn't be that long anymore. If the time comes I should live this mundane world, I beseech for the Little Ancestor to look after my clansmen. Little Ancestor also had the full authority and right to choose who would sit at the throne and guide them to be a good King." The Old King's statement shocked the whole fellow tigers inside the hall.
What's the meaning of the words? Was the Old King for real? He gave full authority to this little girl in front of them just like that? Wouldn't that mean the whole tiger tribe was in her hand right now? Was it that the Old King didn't care anymore about the future of his tribe? Or was he too old now to think clearly about their situation and condition? The Old King trusted this little girl that much? This was unbelievable!
"Well, Opung. Don't be rush. Hahaha... I actually have a plan to live at the middle territory of this forest. I wish to do some small business there and doesn't have an intention to meddle in the affair of Opung's family. I believe that all my uncles here are very capable individuals. They could manage the tribe even without me. I know nothing and do not intend to know about this kind of affairs." Marissa explained hurriedly.
What a joke! If she was to meddle in the Tiger Tribe's affairs, wouldn't she be exhausted to death? What's more! She should be very careful with the many scheming individuals in the castle. It's better to open a coffeé shop, right?
Moreover, the Old King was also a very crafty individual. He pretended to be benevolent, giving her all the authority in his palace just like that? Who would believe that? They just met and she was directly bestowed such a huge gift? It must be a trap! He wanted to test her whether she was a greedy person for power and status!
"I know Little Ancestor doesn't have a desire to meddle in the mundane world. I won't force Little Ancestor to do something that she isn't willing to do it. I only hope Little Ancestor could oversee the Tiger Tribe. If I'm not asking too much, I hope Little Ancestor will help us if there is any danger in the future." The Old King bowed once again. He then turned his gaze to his clansmen as he continued to speak. "They still very immature and would need your guidance on their path."
Opung, Your Majesty, you are right! You really are asking too much!
And, you mean I'm very mature compared to your clansmen?
I'm only twenty two years old whereas your clansmen were already on their hundreds or even thousands years old! How come I become so old in your eyes?
Marissa felt a headache. Nevertheless, she could only say. "Alright. I will try my best." She smiled faintly.
"Thank you, Little Ancestor." The Old King bowed his head. After that, he hollered again on top of his lungs. "Why don't you bow and say thank you to the Little Ancestor?"
Once again, the higher-ups of the Tiger Race could only bowed their heads reluctantly, holding to not show any bit of dissatisfaction on their face.
...
After the meeting...
"Little Ancestor wanted to build a stall in this forest?" Uncle Huth asked uncertainly.
"That's right." Marissa nodded.
"I see... Okay, then, I will take Little Ancestor to the territory where there are many human usually gathered together." Uncle Huth, the Divine Old Tiger said.
"Thank you, Uncle Huth." Marissa said in gratitude.
"It's alright. I'm glad to be able to help Little Ancestor." Uncle Huth said, full of enthusiasm.
"Let's go then." Marissa said.
Just as they want to depart from the palace, a new notification was ringing inside Marissa's head.
[Ding! Congratulation to the Host to subdue one member of the Tiger Race]
[Subduing five members of the Tiger Race would earn the Host a new ability : Beast Tamer Skill Set]
[The more the beast that the Host could tame, the higher the level the Host could get in the future, and the more abilities the Host could unlock which was related to Beast Taming]
[Keep spirit, Host!]
"Uh? Woahhh!!!" Marissa was astonished listening to the notification. "Which lucky Tiger that I have successfully subdued? Was it Uncle Huth?"
