Chapter 19

2 weeks later

Justin sat on Liam's couch, waiting for him to come home. His face was red from crying and his cheeks were torn stained.

He heard the door open, and instantly looked up, smiling at the result. "Hey J, how was your day?" Liam asks, dropping a duffle bag onto the floor.

"I decided to clean the house," Justin says and Liam smiled. "That's great. Thank,s J." Liam says, walking over to the couch.

"Whatcha watching?" He asks, looking at the television. "You might have got me hooked on Golden Girl," Justin says blushing, though you couldn't have told.

Liam looked at Justin, seeing the tear-stained cheeks and red eyes. Sadly smiled at the boy, holding Justin's face in his hands.

"I know your lying Justin. You're trying to make me think that you're ok when your not. I can always tell." Liam says softly as Justin leaned into the touch.

"I just- my life feels so empty," Justin says, sighing. "I miss him," Justin says softly, laying his head on Liam's chest. "Me two J, me two."

"I can't live without him," Justin says, though the sounds were muffled by Liam's oversized hoodie. "Well, he wouldn't want you to be moping around sad about his death. He would want you to celebrate his life." Liam says, and Justin nods.

"Yeah, I guess your right," Justin mumbled, as Liam gently combed his fingers through Justin's soft curls.

"When Eugene and I were- well you know, he would always tell me a joke on the way home from school. Or maybe a riddle his teachers told him. He was quiet then, but he always had something up his sleeve." Justin says, quietly laughing at the memory.

"Sometimes, he would call me," Liam says and Justin looked up at him. "Really?" Justin says, shocked at the new news. Justin was now in between Liam's legs, cuddled up to his chest.

"Yep, he would steal your phone sometimes to call me. He would tell me about all the people in his class, and all the funny things that happened." Liam says, smiling to himself.

"One time in First Grade, he asked this blond girl named Tiffany to marry him. She of course said yes." Liam said, and Justin laughed.

"Of course, Jamey would do something like that," Justin says facepalming.  "When he told me that, he was so excited. He said if she doesn't break up with him, he was going to let you be the flower boy." Liam says chuckling.

"He had no idea how a wedding worked," Justin says, before looking up at Liam with a genuine smile. "Thank you." He says and Liam him off.

"What did I say about  thank you." Liam scolded and Justin laughed. "Yeah, yeah. We get it. You don't like people to appreciate you." Justin says, rolling his eyes.

"Whatever. See what I mean though. It's way better to remember all the good times you had." Liam said, lifting Justin's chin to look at him.

Justin smiled at him, before going closer to Liam's face, so they were only inches apart. "Thank you," Justin whispered, but before Liam could say anything, he quickly kisses Liam.

The kiss was long and soothing, passionate, and warm. Justin wrapped his arms around Liam's neck to deepen the kiss.

Once they finally let go, Justin looked at him, panting. "You don't know how long I have wanted that," Liam whispered, smiling at Justin.

"Yeah, well. Now we can without people saying we're a murderer." Justin says shrugging. He stands up from his spot on the couch, walking into the kitchen.

"What do you want for dinner. My treat." Justin says, opening the cabinets and grabbing a frying pan.

"I want another kiss, but I won't get that, now will I?" Liam says sarcastically, and Justin rolls his eyes. "If you want another kiss, you didn't need to ask."

Liam walks up to Justin, grabbing him by the waist, turning him around, to give him a quick kiss on the lips.

"So, what does that make us?" Justin whispered, holding Liam's scarred cheek, rubbing his thumb underneath Liam's blue eyes.

"Your eyes," Justin whispers, forgetting about his original question. "What? What's wrong with my eyes?" Liam questions, worried that it's an infection of some sort.

"I haven't looked in the mirror lately, please tell me I don't have an infection. How am I supposed to aim when I'm half-blind. I probably look like an idiot with my eye-" Liam rambles, though Justin doesn't listen to any of it.

"Your eyes. I never noticed how blue they were. Like you have two universes in your eyes, and I love it." Justin says, ending the comment with a smile.

"Oh, ok. So no infection. Good." Liam said, somewhat out of breath from his rambling.

"No infection. You're fine." Justin says, making all of Liam's worries go away. Not from the comment, but instead from the smile.

"So, what. Are you living here now?" Liam questions, leaning on the island. "Do you want it? I mean, I don't want to be a bother." Justin says, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly.

"Trust me when I say this, you are never, ever a bother," Liam says, smiling at the boy. Liam walks over to the refrigerator, grabbing some leftover pizza, but Justin just the door before he could get it out.

"Let mine ride this pony, cause I do it very well. What do you want for dinner." Justin says his southern accent coming out a little with those words.

Liam looked at him confused, taking a step back. "Ok, first off. If you are going to live here, no weird quotes from your sisters, ok." Liam joked and Justin rolled his eyes.

"Oh, and Liam. Your left eye does seem to be kind of red." Justin lied, squinting to look at the normal looking eye.

"Wait, are you being serious,, Liam says, running into the bathroom to look in the mirror. Justin waited a few seconds before he heard a groan.

"You are the worst boyfriend ever!" Liam yelled, walking back to the kitchen with a pout on his face. "I can't believe you would lie to me like that," Liam says dramatically, placing his hand over his heart for more effect.

Justin looked at Liam for a second, watching how Liam walked into the kitchen, how he turned on the stove, and how he opened the fridge to get tortillas.

"You are just like hi," Justin mumbled to himself, though Liam stopped what he was doing to look back at Justin.

"Excuse me?" He says, not being able to hear Justin correctly. "Jamey. I know he looks like Eugene but, he walks, talks, even acts like you. You rubbed off on him." Justin says smiling.

"Oh, yeah. I guess I did." Liam says, placing a small amount of oil on the frying pan, before placing the pan on the heated stove.

"You're a good person, Liam. I know you don't like it when I do that but, you are." Justin says, smiling at Liam, who smiled back.

"Whatever you say," Liam says, turning around to meet Justin's eyes. "Wait, are you making enchilada's?" Justin asks, his mouth-watering.

"Yeah, can you get the cheese?' Liam asks, before laying a flat tortilla on the frying pan.

"Here, though I made these with Eugene. Do you have seasoning?" Justin asks, sitting the shredded cheese on the side of the stove for Liam to use.

"Yeah, in the cabinet to your left," Liam says, pointing to a certain cabinet. Though Justin didn't go for the cab, neat. Instead,d he just stared at Liam, a soft smile on his lips.

Justin swiftly hugged Liam once again, this time, not wanting to let go.
