why am I here?!

after ken learned a new cultivation technique. He left and saw the king relaxing while the shadow servant is massaging him.

ken walked over to the king and asked "what is your name? and how do I get the palace inheritance".

"my name is yoshiro and you can get the palace inheritance just by commanding the system" yoshiro answered.

"how do I do that?" ken asked

"just focus on your mind that you want to get out of here after that command the system to consume the palace" yoshiro answered

ken did what yoshiro said and suddenly the surrounding turned white making ken close his eyes cause of the brightness. soon, he opened his eyes and saw a big palace with all sorts of room and courtyards that are as big as a whole mansion on earth that is owned by a multi millionaire business man.

as ken saw the palace in front of him he was surprised for a moment but, calmed down. It only makes sense that yoshiro's palace is this big because he used to be a king. what surprised him more is the fact that the system was able to move this whole palace on earth.

soon ken commanded the system to consume the palace but, later on his mind shook and he heard a ding!* sound and saw a transparent panel and something was written on it and it says.

[you can only consume the whole palace after upgrading the system!]

"why?!!!?"ken yelled out

naturally ken thought that he could just get this palace and be done with it but looking at the panel in front of him he was confused.

why would the system be able to move this whole palace back on earth but, not able to consume it right now that I got the system?

he looked around to look for the king to ask him about it but ken did not see him anywhere. soon his mind shook and he could hear a voice "oh I forgot since I've fallen, the system saved me but, it consumed a lot of power and it turned to it's weaker self" the voiced was from the system in his mind and its yoshiro the owner of this palace

"can you teach me how to upgrade the system?" ken asked the king respectfully.

"you can ask the system about that naturally I know how to do it but, in your situation might be different" yoshiro said with disappointed voice

right now he could only hope ken can upgrade the system to low-medium level because this palace used to have a lot of energy on it but after being on earth for a long time the earth itself consumed a high amount of energy from it.

looking at the situation now he could only place his hope to ken on consuming the palace inside the system and nurture it's energy.

ken asked the system on how to upgrade it and a transparent panel appeared in front of him and it says [the system will only be upgraded after the owner collected enough points]

[to get points you need to deceive and scheme.]

"huh?" ken frowned

ken is a good natured man and will not doubt his friends for anything and accused them of all sorts of things. anyone could tell it by looking at what happened between him and sachi but, right now the system is commanding him to do what sachi did to him which makes him not want the system anymore.

a voice rung out of ken's head "oh you think you need to deceive people just like sachi? no no no you are completely wrong, you can deceive people and make them lose their standing in society or just scam them they might lose something out of it but, it is not as ruthless as what sachi and sen did to you" yoshiro said

"h-how did you know about my situation?"ken asked with a frightened look

"I searched your mind while you were asleep. naturally I would not give you the chance to get the system but, looking at how you and I are the same I gave you a chance" yoshiro said

naturally when ken fell inside the system he thought that he would make ken a shadow servant. the shadow servant that he has now is an old one and it will soon disappear.

shadow servants are powerful followers and they can talk and have their own opinion but, as they get old they will lose their ability to talk and lose their strength. shadow servants used to be humans but, human's body won't be able to last long and soon their body will be weaken.

the shadow servant that yoshiro have was only able to last this long because of the system and providing it some energy but, this energy was not enough to preserve the ability of shadow servants. the system can only make the shadows servant's life last longer.

"the same as you?" ken was curious on what happened to yoshiro and why this palace is in here.

"since you already got the system I should tell you why I gave you a chance to get the system and why we are the same" yoshiro told ken

yoshiro told ken everything from why this palace is here and why they are the same.

when yoshiro finished talking ken got a little sad and angry. he feels sympathy towards yoshiro's situation.

imagine working hard and making your own palace but, you own people will deceive you and backstab you as soon as you let your guard down.

while yoshiro and ken are the same and both of the were betrayed by the people they trust the most ken felt more frustrated towards what happened to yoshiro

after a moment of silence

ken broke the silence and asked yoshiro "since I can't consume the palace and inherent it how a I gonna get out of here?"

yoshiro laughed and said "you already inherited the palace. I told you as soon as you get the system, you will naturally inherit the palace. of course now that the palace is in front of us you only need to find another token it is similar to the token that you got there"

"this?" ken asked

"yeah, you need to find it inside the palace. good luck on searching for it" yoshiro said with mocking tone

"wait, why don't you just tell me where it is?" ken asked with a calm voice

"hehe, I don't know where it is it might not be in here anymore" yoshiro said

hearing this ken's heart thumped rapidly as he is afraid that he will be stuck here and die of starvation. the system can preserve someone's life but it's not that long. yoshiro had the system and was able to survive longer than the people who betrayed him. but, he died of starvation even though the system has reached a high level. ken knows that the people who betrayed yoshiro left the palace to look for food and not die of starvation but, after thinking about it those people might have gotten all sorts of treasure and died out there.

naturally yoshiro is confident that the exit token is still here and all ken needs to do is to look for it. if the exit token is not inside the palace, the system won't open the palace only if the user has both the exit and entrace token will the system open.

"I-if t-the t-token is not here then....w-will I....?" ken asked while shaking and beads of sweat is forming on his forehead.

looking at ken's face yoshiro could not help but tease him "naturally you will die of starvation"

as soon as ken heard this he rushed towards the palace and searched for hours.

after 8 hours of searching he found it inside a box that looks like it is made out of a jade that is worth millions upon millions of dollars.

as soon as ken found it he heave a sigh of relief.

"oh, you found it" yoshiro acted surprised as though he does not know that the token is still here

hearing the exaggerated tone in yoshiro's voice he got angry and roared "YOU KNEW THAT IT IS STILL HERE AND YOU FUCKING SAID THAT BULLSHIT TO ME? YOU ALMOST KILLED ME OF HEART ATTACK!"

hearing this yoshiro could not help but laugh "haha, it's you're fault for not noticing that I was lying from the start"

"hmph, just tell me how to get out of here" ken said with a angry tone.

"just focus yourself and think of getting out of here and the system will ask you" yoshiro told ken

ken did what yoshiro told him and soon a transparent panel appeared in front of him

[would you like to exit this palace?]

"yes!"

soon the surrounding turned white ken closed his eyes of the brightness.

he opened his eyes and he is surrounded by sand and at his back is an ocean.

"finally I'm back!" ken yelled excitedly

after being inside there for over half a month he was getting pretty lonely.

soon he run towards the city and soon he realized he is not familiar on where he is and the surrounding people are speaking in English and they are Americans.

as soon as he realized this he panicked and kneel down the floor and thought to himself "why am I here?!"
