Leveling Up Skills

Hunter quickly grabbed all the weird looking stones that dropped from the zombies and took Kendall back to their small apartment to rest up and get ready for their next adventure out.

He knew he was ill prepared the last time he went out, but he was excited to level up again. He wanted to invest some basic points into magic so he could start using magic and use a new skill.

Hunter then remembered that he had 15 skill points to spend. He only had one skill, but Hunter wanted to level it up. If he were to fight the goblins, he knew it would be a lot more challenging than fighting the zombies.

After contemplating for a bit, Hunter decided to level up Dagger Strike.

1 skill point required to level up Dagger Strike to Lv. 2. Would you like to upgrade it? Y/N

Hunter quickly said yes.

Dagger strike is now Lv. 2

2 skill points are required to level up Dagger Strike to Lv. 3. Would you like to upgrade it? Y/N

Hunter noticed that the skill points required to level up his skill kept rising. For each level up you had to use the same amount of skill points as that's skills level. He used all his skill points to level up Dagger Strike to Lv. 6.

Dagger Strike: Lv. 6

Type: active

When you use this skill, your dagger is infused with power to strike your foe with 70% more attack damage.

Hunter figured that every time he leveled up his skill, it added 10% more attack damage.

'This skill will be very handy. With this I might have what it takes to take down the goblins.' Hunter thought to himself.

'I still can't take any more risk. I should find some stuff around here to make some traps.'

Hunter scavenged around his house and found some wire. Hunter didn't have a lot of stuff in his household so thought this would do for now. He knew he would have to make a trip to the hardware store down the street at some time.

Hunter then went on to tell his sister to level up her skill. Kendall did what her brother told her and leveled up Angel's Blessing to Lv. 3.

Angel Blessing: Lv: 3

Type: active

You can use this skill to heal 40% of an allies health. Will also cure any poisons, or status effects.

Range: 7 meters

Mana Cost: 50 MP

Kendall realized that every time she leveled up the skill she could heal 5% more health and gained one more meter for range.

"Did your mana cost decrease at all?" Hunter curiously asked. He was hoping it would decrease so she could use the skill more. He would feel a lot better fighting the goblins if she could use her skill more.

"Unfortunately it did not..." she then went on to describe the new effects of her skill. Hunter was very happy hearing about the special effects her skill had. Even though she could only use the skill twice, Hunter would still need her skill in dire situations.

Hunter now wanted to figure out what these weird looking stones were. He took out the 7 red stones out of his pocket, and put them together on the table. The next thing that happened shocked Hunter.

All seven of the stones combined into one bigger red stone. That was it. Hunter was a little disappointed, but excited at the same time.

'I am sure If I get more of these red stones, I will be rewarded in some way. I wonder if all monsters drop the same stone. What will I get when I collect more stones and combine them?'

Hunter's head was filled with questions. But he knew this was not the time to ask himself questions.

An hour has passed and it was time to head out again.
