When 14-year old River, goes to a new horse barn it wasn't long till she could tell something is wrong. A big creature is tearing up any living thing it sees and it has chosen Sunset Stables to hunt in. River and a couple of friends are willing to stop the monster before it has nothing else to kill at the barn and moves to town. 

This is a thrilling packed, tension, adventure, horror scenes (gut, blood, the creature itself isn't pretty to describe)

That day was a sunny day, but not exactly the brightest. Ella ran into a building, heaving the doors open as well as she can trying to contain all the papers she had in her hand. 


Ella rushed into a big room not to far from the entrance of the lab. "Have we really done it?!" She exclaimed as she laid her papers down in a mess.


"I believe we have! After 2 long years of testing!" A man with long black hair announced. The man's name was Scott, he had been Ella's friend and partner in this experiment for 2 whole years! 


"Excellent! I have our lucky contestant right here!" Ella explains reaching out and dragging out a black cat. "I think she will do perfect for the job! If it doesn't fail again." Ella mutters as she places the black cat onto a table.


"Nonsense! It will work now, never supposed to succeed on first try!" Scott exclaims with such happiness. "Who is our lucky friend anyway?" He says peering at the well groomed cat.


"This is my cat, her name is Gremlin. She has always been the little monster!" Ella laughs as she strokes the cat.


"She will do perfect!" Scott nearly jumps, he had such excitement to try the formula. Been just as excited every 184 tries.


Alex walks in with a large needle, "ready?" He said, Alex was in training and also helping with the project. However he was getting a little nervous after test #100. He wasn't to sure of the idea, a weapon?


Scott grabbed the shot of the formula and immediately started to inject it into Gremlin. The cat hissed but Scott picked the cat up quickly and put her in a 3' x 6' cage. 


"There we go! By tomorrow she should be just as we envisioned her to be. A weapon! A  2'6" tall, 5' foot long beast, it will attack anything that moves! Which will make it the perfect and most useful thing to use in our military!" Scott said looking back at his friends! He smiled wide! I will stay here tonight and be there when she has taken shape and the formula sinks in! 


Ella nodded and smiled back, she left the room with Alex and decided to go home early knowing they had to adjust the formula no more. They can meet up with Scott early in the morning.


Ella woke up at 3:00 a.m. and rushed to the lab. She was too excited to meet up and finally see if the formula really did work. When she pulled up, there were alarms going off. 


Ella rushed into the room immediately, red lights flashed in the room. Ella swallowed hard as she walked around the room. "Scott?" She called, she walked to the cage. 


Her face lit up in horror, the cage was broken from the top. Bits of metal and glass everywhere near it. And blood. So much, she walked more but not that far to find Scott on the floor. 


Scott's face was frozen with fear, he was dead. Bits of him were everywhere. 


Ella collapsed on the ground near him and she shut his eyelids. "I'm so sorry!" She cried. Ella got up and ran, she felt like a little kid running away but she couldn't stay there. It could still be in the lab. 


Alex ran out of the building. "Ella!!!" He called as soon as he saw her.


Ella stopped and turned, "we failed!" She cried, "and now look at what has happened!" Tears flowed down her face.


Alex shook his head "no. We succeeded, we have made the weapon we were hoping for. I looked on the security cameras, it broke the cage by size. 5' tall and 7' long beast, hurray! Let us bring out our balloons and celebrate! We have successfully made a monster!" Alex glared at Ella.


Ella lit up in pure horror, they did succeed, they made their weapon, their monster.
