In half a day, Jonathan had directly risen from level 1 to level 5 from all the experience he was absorbing. With the hunting of another level 25 jungle tiger, a strong beast that could make weak people shake in their boots, Jonathan had grown even stronger.
The increase in four levels increased his magic attribute a little, and everyone felt that Jonathan's healing effect was significantly improved. Because of Jonathan's good performance at this party, several members were already nodding their heads towards him in gratitude. It only went to show them the importance of a priest at a party.
At this time, Jonathan quickly opened the skill panel, and after seeing the above two skills that could only be used at level 5 turned green, he felt relieved.
[Divine power]: Improves the attack attribute of the targeted person. The level of effect is dependent on the caster's level and magical attributes. The minimum cast level is 5th.
[Fire of the Mind]: Improves the defense attribute of the targeted person. The level of effect is dependent on the caster's level and magical attributes. The minimum cast level is 5th.
Before the first 50 levels, basically, every fifth level had a certain number of skill increase dependent on the level of the caster especially for a hidden profession like Holy Spirit Priest who had more skills compared to ordinary priests. They acquired even stronger magic at the 10th level, skills with relatively good effects so right now Jonathan's next task was to quickly reach level 10.
Nodding to himself, Jonathan pointed towards his current party and cased [Divine power] and [Fire of the mind].
"Ding!"
"Ding!"
A few flashes hit everyone in the team which had an immediate effect. They all felt an obvious increase in their attributes in their bodies even if the concept of stats was something only applied to Jonathan.
Feeling shocked by the holy power that strengthened everyone, they all looked towards Jonathan in surprise.
"Don't be nervous! These are just spells I learned from my teacher which I just fully understood how to cast so I just tested it out."
He couldn't exactly tell them that he didn't need to learn spells from a spell book but they were unlocked once he reached the level requirement.
Raul, gripped his sword tightly as he looked at Jonathan with an impressed look:
"This feels so comfortable. It's as if someone injected strength into my body as my muscles become stronger."
It just so happened that everyone was about to deal with an iron-horned rhinoceros. This was a monster that Raul solo would have trouble dealing with even if the mob was alone but now Raul was full of confidence.
He swung his big sword around a few times getting the feel for the power. Feeling confident, Raul charged towards the iron-horned rhino.
Jonathan thought there would be a hard battle to be fought but he didn't expect that Raul would take the frontal assault right from the start. His powerful sword directly chopped the sharp horns of the rhino while his huge swords continued down its path towards the iron shell of the monster with keep speed.
The hard skin of the horned rhinoceros was hard to break especially for a solo person using brute force but it didn't take Raul that long to deal with the extremely difficult iron-horned rhinoceros with not too much effort,
"It's amazing!" Raul's face looked refreshed: "Not only has my strength become a lot stronger but the monster doesn't even hurt like before. It feels like a bump now whenever the iron horned rhino hits me."
"Hahahaha"
Jonathan laughed out loud, happy at how effective his buffs were for Raul as he threw another healing spell on Raul to heal his minor injuries.
The mage Jack thoughtfully asked Jonathan,
"Aren't ordinary priests only capable of using healing spells? How can you use other spells? It stands to reason that I believe you might be a higher level priest and not just a simple cleric at this level."
"A higher level priest?"
Jonathan's heart moved with worry. He wasn't sure what usual clerics and priests were capable of doing in this world and if he was digging his own grave. It would break his cover if others thought he was some high rank priest because the church would now of all the priests that work under it especially a high level one.
'At least it's better than being some ordinary scrub cleric or priest. Would be easier to control the group'
In order to give himself a more vocal position in the team, Jonathan immediately adjusted his tone and put on a humble expression as he replied:
"Indeed what you speak is correct. I have the ability to become directly a priest and not just a cleric but I just haven't had the time to take my test."
The Spear warrior George looked surprised as he held a thumb up towards Jonathan.
"Oh, so young and already have the ability to become a priest! When we first met you, we thought you were a priest from your clothes but eventually realized you were a cleric from the healings you did but to find out you actually had the capabilities of a priest, Brother Jonathan your future is really limitless!"
"It's nothing like that. It's just by the grace of Lady Luck smiling down on me."
Jonathan waved his hands as he dismissed the excessive compliments done towards him.
After carefully observing the expressions of everyone, he discovered that when he said that he was a potential priest, including the little beauty Leah, everyone looked at him with respect.
Next, with the blessing of Jonathan's new skills, the party's attack and defense rose to allow them to raise up their hunting speed by a notch. The most important thing is always the back row support which was Jonathan in this case.
Everyone felt stronger and better allowing them to fight even more freely, something they haven't been able to do before. The only one who was depressed as the mage Jack as he didn't receive any buffs. Although the damage of his fireballs was still low and had a very short range his overall DPS was still the highest of the group.
