Chapter 36 - Blood Stained Tissue

"Reya.. Your organs look like they are being overstrained. Look here, your lugs looks very inflated. I think it's the side effect of your speed," Clive said with a forlorn tone.

"Your power is a ticking time bomb in your body," he whispered.

Reya felt her heart stop for a moment. 'I am dying…. If I'm not there, who will take care of my mother and my sister. I have to do something,' she came to a resolution.

"Clive, if you had the 'alien creatures' DNA would you be able to do something regarding my situation?" she said.

He nodded with a sad smile. "I can look into it, but I can't assure you anything. I am not a qualifies doctor after all,"

"What? Don't you have all these equipments? Don't you research with them," Reya whispered in shock. This guy was not even a qualified doctor. How could she trust him with her health?

Clive held her shoulder and made her sit down on one of his chairs. "Hey, I'm a jack of all trades. If I want to try something, I will always excel in it. If I had the DNA, I will try my best to find you a cure. Because what you have is a decease, not a super power,"

Reya gulped. 'Should I give it to him? Should I betray her?' she thought.

"I….I…." she stuttered, trying to find words. Her heart was extremely conflicted whether to betray her friend or to save herself.

Reya closer her eyes and prayed, 'Artemis, should I give your DNA to him? Should I do this? Please give me a sign,'

A gush of wind blew into the room carrying a lot of flower petals. They showered the room, making it look like they were in a beautiful flowed garden.

"Is this my sign?" Reya whispered in shock.

"Wow, where are these flowers so coming from? I don't have any cherry blossom trees nearby" Clive said and moved to the window. He put his head out and gazed down there were no traces of flower petals anywhere. "Very weird," he whispered.

Behind him, Reya shot up from her seat and stepped to him. "I have the DNA sample," she said.

"What?" Clive said with a confused look. "who's?"

"Artemis's," Reya whispered.

Clive adjusted his falling glasses and peered at her in scrutiny. "Are you sure it's her's? It might be anyone else's," he said.

But Reya firmly nodded, "it is her DNA. She was wounded when I met her, I helped bandage it so I have the bloodstained tissue," she said.

Clive's mouth went wide. "oh my god, where? Give me," he shouted. He held her shoulder and shook her.

"Stopppp… shaking …me," Reya stuttered as she started to feel dizzy.

He let go of her and patted her wrinkled clothes, "oh sorry, I was too agitated. Can I have a look at the blood sample?" he whispered with an anticipating look.

"Yes, but please you have to promise me something."

Clive nodded his head with shimmering eyes. "Anything. Do you want this house I can write it in your name, just name your price," he said.

"Ew no, I don't want your money. I want you to promise me three things. First, you have to promise that you won't do anything weird with her DNA, like create a clone or something. Second, you have stop calling her an alien she is a goddess so call her that," Reya said.

Clive nodded his head like he was pounding ginger.

"What is the third?" he said with an exited look.

"Third, with the Dna you have to try to find a cure for Mina," she said.

He had a weird look at her request. "I thought you would request me to find a cure for you," he said.

"I don't care about myself. I want my sister to get better soon. And if this DNA could help, I would do anything," she whispered with a sad look.

She had seen her sister suffer for too many years now she just wanted her to have a happy and healthy life. And for that, she was willing to give up anything.

Clive sighed, peering at her. "Fine, I will try my best, but I need to look into your sister's disease first,' he said with a confident look.

"Really! You can?" she whispered with an astonished look.

"Hmm, don't underestimate me if I put my heart into it, I can do anything," Clive said with his nose up in the air.

"Wow, you are awesome," Reya whispered.

Clive's face went red at her admission. He coughed loudly and rubbed his cheeks. "The sample, please," he whispered.

Reya put her hands inside her pocket and brought out a red stained tissue.

Clive took it from her hands like it was the best treasure in the world.
