How It All Begins
I enter my room and walk to the door on the far side of the room, I open it and walk outside looking down at the kingdom I call my home. It was a pretty night view, with a full moon and thousands of stars that glistened in the moonlight. All of a sudden I hear the main door to my room open and I look back to see who it is. Joseph and Kaden walk into the room
Joseph: You know your not allowed to go anywhere without at least one of your personal attendants with you.
I rolled my eyes and walked back into the bedroom
Zoey: You know it gets annoying having people watch your every movement, plus I'm just walking around the castle. How is that dangerous?
Kaden: knowing you I'm pretty sure it's as dangerous as walking around the forest by yourself.
Joseph: Yeah like the time you fell out of the tree in the royal garden and broke your arm.
Kaden: Or the time you got a concussion by falling down the main stairs
Joseph: And there was also the other time when the ladder in the grand library fell on top of you and you bruised your ankle.
Kaden: Oh and also—
Zoey: okay, okay I get it I won't go anywhere without an attendant anymore!
The boys started laughing while I was sulking about loosing the little bit of freedom I had in this world. After talking to Kaden and Joseph about a few things I decided to go get ready for bed and return to the world that we call the modern age the 21st century. But before I could reach the door the room started to shake shortly followed by a loud noise.
Joseph/Kaden: ZOOOEEEY!!!
Joseph and Kaden both ran towards, me before I knew it all three of us were on the floor.
Kaden: Are you two okay?!
Joseph: yeah
Zoey: I think so... Are you okay?
Kaden: Yeah, but what happened
Zoey: How am I supposed to know? one minute I'm walking towards the door the next I'm on the ground!
Then out of nowhere throughout all the confusion one of my personal attendants, Erik bursts through my bedroom door in a panic in fact it was the first time I've seen him loose his cool. He raced towards me asking if I was okay and checking my body for any bruises, after he confirmed that I was truly alright he explained that something terrible was happening and that we had to get out of here as soon as possible. Joseph Kaden and I all got up and was about to leave the room before we saw a wall of fire at the door, that's when Kaden started using his shield magic to block the fire from entering the room.
Kaden: guys I can't hold this for much longer!!!
Erik: if that's the case then we need to jump off the balcony!!!
Joseph: do you have enough energy to use your flying magic on all of us Kaden?!?!?!
Kaden: sadly no one of us will have to stay behind!!!
Zoey: WHAT!?!?! No we can't do that!!!
Erik: I'll stay behind Kaden take the prince and princess and leave!!!
Without another word from the three boys Kaden put a protective bubble around my room than grabbed my arm while I was screaming and crying trying to escape his grasp but failed. Kaden dragged me to the Balcony picked me up and on the count of three Kaden and Joseph both jumped off the balcony and started flying to an unknown place that's very far away from the castle. As I look back I saw the castle in a sea of flames, birds were also flying past us trying to escape the sea of flames that have reached the forest. That's when I started thinking about all of the people that died that night I have lost my entire family except for one and two of my best friends. I could tell that we had a long journey ahead of us and the chance of us surviving was slim to non, but I used all of my energy crying and I accidentally cried myself to sleep. When I woke up in modern time I started bursting into tears while I laid on my bed looking up at the ceiling. Thinking about everything that has happened in one dark night that was engulfed by a sea of flames.
