Chapter 250- Failed experiment

At somewhere far way:

"Negative."

"He is still not able to turn back."

"This pill still needs to be improved."

"It's all up to that woman! Let's show her the results."

"What do we do about this boy?"

"The boy won't be able to turn back. But he can still follow commands. So send him with her other subjects for training."

Several voices filled the room as the people, with serious expressions plastered on their faces, discussed the CPH7 melange experiment.

They had successfully revived the experiment a few months before. Now they were further trying to improvise.

The boy was one of the test subjects fifteen years of age.

They were testing if he was able to turn back into a human from the weird creature.

But still, much to their disappointment, he did not.

The boy's eyes were completely black and he was snarling like an animal.

"At least he could blindly follow command!" A middle-aged man in the group spoke as he looked at the boy tied to the experiment table.

There was an expression on the man's face that depicted nothing but disappointment.

"It looks like we wasted our time with these new pills again. That woman is looking for her death. This is the fifth experiment we conducted based on her revised paper after the success of phase one. How pathetic!"

Three Scientists were talking amongst themselves outside the glass room, while inside, a boy was tied to the experiment table.

A syringe was still inserted in his hand that was connected to a big machine nearby. Several tubes with sticky caps were also attached to his chest.

The boy was utterly oblivious to their conversation, as the glass-built testing area was soundproof. His animal instincts were strong and he was trying to break free from the shackles.

"There's no need to keep him here anymore. We should inform the boss about the result of this experiment. Let's dismiss the kid from here so that we can move to work on some actual important stuff," The middle-aged scientist spoke again as he looked at the group in front of him, hoping to get everyone's support.

"Truly, that woman is now useless."

"I had such high hopes for her."

The other two people shook their heads in unison, depicting their affirmation towards the matter as they spit out those two sentences.

A nurse was called by the scientists before they left the lab. Two of the scientists walked out of there fast while one stayed behind.

He looked at the boy lying inside the glass room and sighed.

Inside his heart, he felt pity for the boy and the woman who revived this experiment.

The boy had natural black hair and brown eyes before he turned completely black.

"Nurse, take him back to his cell." The middle-aged scientist left the lab in busy steps after mouthing those words. Nobody noticed his balled fist as he left.

He was frustrated working with these people. But he knew there was no way out.

Walking inside the room, the nurse moved towards the boy and injected a liquid, then removed the syringe from his hand.

"Let's go," she told the boy, in a tone that intimidated him more.

The boy just followed the command and walked behind her.

The boy quivered as he stood up and silently followed behind her.

The nurse took the boy to a small room.

Inside the fully grey-coloured cell, there was only a small bed and nothing else. There were no windows.

The floor, ceiling, as well as door, was metallic, and it was no ordinary metal. Those were made from the strongest metal found.

The nurse left the boy inside before she locked the cell from the outside and left with an expressionless face as if she was a robot.

"Boss, Doctor Robinson is on the line."

A bodyguard clad in a suit walked up to a person who was also wearing an expensive suit and gave him the phone.

"Doctor Robinson, How was the test?" Old man Pereira couldn't help but shoot rapid questions as he placed the phone closer to his ears.

Doctor Robinson stood near a window, his eyes peeking outside the facility.

His long white coat was so clean that it seemed as if it was purchased that very day. His coat matched his white hair which was messy but still seemed like they were perfect and were supposed to be like this only.

"The results are negative, boss. They are still unable to convert back. But they can follow command till the day they die," Doctor Robinson said.

Pausing for a moment, he declared the final verdict, saying, "It's a failure."

Doctor Robinson was one of the three Scientists who had just performed the tests on the boy for the CPH7 melange second version experiment.

*sigh*

There was an awkward silence before Dr Robinson heard the voice of an old man again.

"It's been more than 15 years of this experiment. Although that woman had revived phase 1 of the experiment, she is not able to upgrade it further. It is the same failed experiment that the country banned. We need Stephano back asap," Old man Pereira said as he looked down.

"How many test subjects are there now?"

"Around 250 now!"

"We lost around 200 on that mountain base camp when we were attacked from the every end as people came to rescue that young woman!"
