CHAPTER SIX: THE BULLY AND THE REVENGE

Melissa was feeling so bored. She has been in her hotel room for days all alone and it was killing her.

She is not used to sitting or staying in a place for days. She would have gone out but the instruction given was not to go out or even if she want to go out she must make sure the weather is cool. But now she didn't care. She called Drew who told her he was too busy to help her to the gym. She quickly ended the call so as not to say something impolite to him. She decided that since she's an adult, she could fine her way. As she stepped out, she collided with Drew.

"Ouch!" She said looking up she saw Drew.

"It's barely four days and you've transformed" he said disdainfully but he meant his words.

"The first thing to do when you see anyone is to say hi. Even if you don't feel like, let me say before you start talking and if you can choose to answer or not" she said with an audacious scolding look.

"Must you be rude?" He asked annoyed.

"You did it first. Didn't you say you were busy" she asked with pressed lips.

"Young lady, did you call me out here to question me or to ask for my help?" He asked blankly.

"Hey Mr boss, don't pass aggression on me. Didn't you say you were busy? Then I intended to go find it myself" she replied grumbling but he heard her.

"You should have told me then" he said then averted.

"So mean" Melissa said intentionally loud.

He looked at her and walked away smiling to himself.

Although Melissa had help getting to the gym, it was still a bit difficult to get the direction. Some guys even volunteered to take her there but because she wasn't ready for any sudden friendship, she declined. By the time she got to the gym, she realised she took the wrong route because she could see her building right from the gym even though it was a distance. She didn't think she needed the exercise anymore, due to the fact that the walk she took has already worked up her body but she wouldn't let her endeavor go in vain.

The gym was quite a sight to see and there were lot of people in the large room. She sighted a corner which seems like a reception to her.

"Good morning" she greeted politely.

"Morning madam" a large man answered her.

Melissa couldn't believe that such !an with so much muscles could word as a gym receptionist. He looks more of a wrestler to her.

"How may I be of help to you madam?"

"I want to make use of the gym and I want to pay for the service" she replied.

"Oh ma'am you want a membership card" he smiled her her revealing a set of white and front gaped teeth.

"No I don't" she said quickly shaking her head because she knows that the membership card of an hotel like this will be something she can never afford now.

"Ma'am, the only people allowed to use the gym is our member. It is not a one off thing" he explained.

"OK I'll have to take my leave" she said smiling stiffly thinking of the stress she went to getting here.

She knew if Drew had gotten her here, he would have done something but the mean guy didn't and she was sure he knew she won't be allowed in without a card.

"But I can lend you my seeing that you are crestfallen with my announcement" he said with a sweet smile.

Melissa shook her head. "Not happy though but protocol is protocol. Don't bother yourself I'll just return to my hotel room" she returned his smile.

"Oh you are our guest. You should have said that. You are entitled to use it. It is a souvenirs to all our customers to....."

He was still giving her the good news when Drew walked in. Melissa looked at him wondering how someone could still wear a suit to the gym house.

"Hey Jerry, who tidied my gym?" He asked immediately he walked in.

"It should be Babs sir. Anything the problem?" He asked quickly.

"I think I left my card there. Did she find it?

Has he aptalked he looked at Melissa who was frowning at him and he ignored her as if they've never met.

"Not that I know of. Give me a second let me confirm".

He pucked up his table phone and put a call through.

Melissa signalled to the guy if she can go but the guy mouthed no to her. She was really irritated and angry with Drew's eyes on her. She knew one day the guy will come to respect her and she prayed it happen quickly.

"Sir, she said she left it there since no one is going to use it except you" Jerry said.

"Thanks" then he left without taking second glance at Melissa.

"Sorry madam, that's our VIP customer" he apologized.

Melissa frowned. "So rude" she spitted out.

Jerry didn't know if Melissa was talking to him or Drew. No lady has ever not acknowledge Drew's presence. It is either they drool or swoon but he didn't see any look of interest in Melissa talk more of drooling.

"Beg your pardon madam" he said apologetically.

"Not you. Talking about that proud guy that just walked off" she smiled at him.

"Mr Kmetko isn't proud. He's so cool and calm and everyone loves him. Just that he loves privacy" he defended quickly.

Melissa snorted. "I know him. The truth is that he brought me here, so I do know what I'm saying" she said with a burning look.

Jerry was short of words. He didn't know whether to believe or not neither did he know what to say. He just kept mute.

"What else?" She asked wanting to know why she was still waiting.

"Please verify your finger print on that" he pointed to the machine. "Then move to the changing room" he said.

"Is there any restrictions on any of the machines? She asked because she knew there are lot of rich people here so she wouldn't want to disgrace herself.

"Not at all ma'am".

"Thanks then" she left after the verification of her fingerprints.

It was then she guy knew she said the truth because it was Drew that made reservation for her. He wondered why they acted like strangers.

When she got into the room, she headed for the elliptical machine (the treadmill). Few minutes later, she noticed some people glaring at her, then she turned to see who they are.

"Hey girl! That's my man's, so step out" a lady ordered rudely.

Melissa looked at the very thin lady and the huge guy beside her. She gave them a sad scrutiny, knowing they are in to make troubles, she ignored them and continued.

"Are you deaf?" The lady shouted and pull Melissa that she almost fell.

Melissa gave her an impassive look. "Miss, the last time I checked, there us no ownership attached to this treadmill. Just tell your man who want to claim things as his to go get the VIP card and the problem of sharing will be solved" she said with a calm but sarcastic voice.

"What do you mean girl" the man said in a deep husky voice.

Melissa knew the guy would be a bully but she wasn't afraid of him.

"Or aren't you rich. You should be able to afford it since you love ownership" she said laughing softly at him.

"Poppycock!" The lady shouted and slapped her.

Melissa held her cheek. She wasn't expecting theep sudden slap even when she knew they are likely to make troubles.

"You know what? I don't let myself be seen by rascals. So you can swallow the machine fellas" she said and too the towel wshe placed on the machine.

But the lady didn't let her leave. She pulled her back violently. People in the room stopped to see what was going to happen but they don't dare move closer since they are known to be a bully and anyone that cross their part will always regret it.

"I left the machine and you still want to fight?" She asked but received no answer.

The lady pulled her cloth to the extent that her breath almost pop out of the clothe. This made Melissa yo give her a push to free herself and she fell hardly to the ground.

The man was ogling Melissa's body. He was licking his lips at the sight of her body. He definitely want to have Melissa but his girlfriend wouldn't appreciate him doing that so he decided to use a trick. He wanted to scare her so he could have the change to touch her.

"I'll teach you beautiful spoilt brat a nice lesson" he said smiling wickedly.

As he raised his hand pretending to want to hit her, his hand was held tightly by another hand.

"What sensible man would want to hit a Lady?"

At the sound of that voice, Melissa who closed her eyes to receive the hit opened it immediately.

"What's your own man" the man jacked away firmly.

Drew looked at the man eye to eye. Drew is his sworn enemy even though Drew never knew him. This is because he thought Drew is too proud by not acknowledging any of them when he comes around. He is also an elite who can never be bullied. He is very envious of Drew's status and wealth.

The lady who was with the man already stood up and went to Drew. She smiled at Drew who wore his normal impassive look.

"I thought he didn't know me. Why then did he butt into my business" Melissa thought in anger. She looked at him dourly. He was the last person she wants to see.

"Don't blame the poor guy for wanting to scold her. She deserves it" the lady said eyeing Melissa and smiled at Drew.

"Poor guy?" Melissa snorted.

She didn't want to laugh son's not to incure more anger on the already fired up guy.

On the other hand the guy was getting angry at Drew for always getting the attention. Now he really want to hurt him and Melissa because he came to rescue her which means that he knows her.

Drew and the guy exchanged looks. Drew's was still his usual plain look while the guy's was very hostile. The lady tried to touch Drew but the look Drew gave her got her hand hanging but she still smiled.

"Don't waste your energy on such a low life. She's the one that started it all. She was using this guys machine and you know he can't do anything so I decided to help him explain things but she lady began to fight me" she explained without been asked.

The guy was so shocked at what his girlfriend said.

"What!" He bellowed.

Drew looked at Melissa to explain things but she wasn't ready to talk to the guy so she just looked at him.

"You should have just let her alone for few minutes and she would have left on her own accord" Drew said to the panting man.

"How sure are you about that?" Melissa snapped.

"I told you she's rude" the lady said like she owned a trophy.

Melissa dart are an annoyed look.

Drew ignored the lady. "You were already tired when you came in. So how long can you stay on that thing" he asked casually.

Melissa knew Drew saw here when she came in to know that she was tired. She didn't want any help from that annoying guy.

Drew turned to the lady which mad her happy that she got his attention at last.

"She already left the machine for you, then why the fight?"

The lady made a sad face. "She called me a rascal and told me to swallow the machine" she pretended to be near tears.

"Hey!" The guy called aloud. "Who made you the judge here? What gave you the audacity to question anyone huh?" He bawled.

The guy has mixed anger on Drew. One for him butting in and two for his girlfriend's character which was caused by Drew's appearance.

"Because the lady her belongs to me".

"I don't belong to you" Melissa said sternly.

"Well since I brought you here, till I return you back you are under my care" he said firmly.

Melissa's eyes was filled with anger that she almost cried out. She wanted to shout at him so loud but she knew that would be at the expense of her job.

The Lady who was trying to glue to Drew countenance fell and she gave Melissa who didn't care a pinch about her a malevolent look.

"Well I don't seem to care about your relationship. What I care about is her vacating the machine" his husky voice ranged in the room.

Melissa chuckled. "Sir, I already did that since I don't want you to loose on both side. I'll fill guilty" she said excessively calm looking at him pitifully.

"And what. Does that suppose to me?" He frowned at him in ire.

Even Drew couldn't get her meaning.

"Since your girlfriend just denied you, calling you this man, that man, if I don't I don't vacate the machine then you will loosing two things at a time and that would be too much too bare. One loosing your girl to the man who butts in to settle that fight, two loosing the machine that caused the fight. I'm so considerate here. You can have the machine" she explained with sympathy.

As she talked, the man looked at his girlfriend who quickly moved closer to Drew as if to protect herself.

"What an act" Drew murmured trying not to smile.

People who heard Melissa's words couldn't help but laugh and there was murmuring everywhere which got the man more angrier."

"What the hell are you talking about?" He yowled moving closer to her with a fierced look.

"Why the shout? I was only pitying you" she said innocently and moved back.

Drew smiled at how pure her blue eyes looked even though she was lying.

"I don't need it" he shouted and gave her a kick on the leg.

Melissa screamed and she fell to the ground.

Drew quickly bounced to the guy's front. He was angry that he dare hit Melissa. The guy didn't even wait for him to do anything, he just threw he punch at Drew which he also was fast enough to weave and the guy landed on the floor because of the weight he added to the punch.

The guy didn't give up wanting to hurt Drew who saw so quick to avoid his coming hits. This went on and on even qhen he was falling on object that could he injure him. He didn't relent till he was well bruised without Drew raising a finger. Everyone there applauded Drew's ability on how he dealt with the trigger happy guy.

After the end of the commotion Drew went to Melissa wanting to help her up.

"Let me be. Am I visible now?" She said refusing to let him help.

"Hey I'm trying to help you because of your injured leg" he said crisply.

"I don't need you help" she said crudely.

Drew couldn't reply her because the lady earlier badged into their conversation.

"Hello" she touched him slightly and Drew looked at her. "I just came over to say thank you" she said gently.

If she had used this tone with Melissa the other time there wouldn't have been fight.

Melissa grinned like a simpleton. "Shouldn't I be the one saying that?" She burst into huge laughter that everyone turned to her.

Drew didn't know what came up with her that is making her act like that.

"Well since you decided to shut your mouth a well cultured lady decided to do it in your stead" he replied stiffly.

"I don't give a damn if I'm cultured or not. All I know is that you don't deserve my thank you in anyway boss" she said in revile.

"Why are you so ungrateful?" He asked haughtily.

"Because I would rather prefer been beating up than accept any help from you" she said with great detest. Her anger was fueling.

"Why didn't you state that clear earlier!" He gave a cynic look.

"You don't always do as you are told. So why should I waste my energy in keeping you off. Moreover..." She looked at the lady who wore a look like she wants to kill her. "This super beautiful and well cultured lady seems interested in you and if I let you go, you might come back taunting me in future that it was my fault that you missed your potential wife" she finished her sermon and winked at the lady who wore a surprised look.

"I don't need to reply you now. Let me see to this pretty damsel before I get back to you" he said scornfully turning to his visitor.

"Before replying ugly me right?" She added mockingly.

"Melly!" He called trying not to laugh.

Drew is someone who seldom meet people. He's such a workaholic that he rarely goes anywhere aside his offices. He doesn't meet people neither does anyone even those who works for his are that close to him. This usually bother his father but there's nothing he could do about it. So talking to this lady was like a punishment to him. The lady wanted his card but he ended up collecting hers.

"You'll call me right?" The lady asked smiling.

"Sure" he replied

"OK then I'll be expecting your call" she said and left happily.

Melissa shook her head at his deception. She know with that look he would never call her.

"Nice isn't she" Drew asked as they left the gym.

"And how is that my business?" She asked with a pouting expression.

"Jealous?"

"What is there to be jealous of? You two are perfect match" she said bluntly with a crsipy smile.

Drew gave her a cynic look. "You think a lady I met few minutes ago is perfect for me?" He chuckled.

"I don't need an hour to know a person's perfect match" she said with pride.

"Really?" He asked with a skeptic look.

"Can't you see it is glaring? She's proud, you are super proud. You are arrogant so also she is. Overall, you have a bad mouth and she is trigger happy and that just make you even. If you can't act quickly she will do that for you. If she's faced with an insult, you will help to counter it. See I'm right about the match" she said.

Drew didn't know when he burst into laughter.

"Not funny" she didn't expect him to laugh but get angry and let her be. The way he laughed got her more angry.

"Very very funny Melly. You don't cease to crack me up" he laughed again. "So you think you are free from all your accusations?"

"Of course I am" she replied.

Drew's eyes went to her leg and saw that the leg which took the hit was red and almost turning dark. Likewise Melissa is limping.

"That must hurt severely" he paused and fixed his gaze on her injured leg.

"No" she snapped with a spurious look. She didn't want any pity from him.

"But you are limping" he gave her a cynic look.

"Am I?" She asked as if the leg has not been pinching her with huge pains.

Drew bent to touch the leg which she tried to move away quickly but he was faster, he grabbed the leg and she wince in pain. She wanted to try hide it but the pain was written all over her face.

"I thought you said no" he mocked.

"Hey don't try to be nice here boss, everything is your fault" she backchat.

"And how did you come to that?" He raised a brow.

He knew exactly what she is talking about but decided to feign ignorant.

"If you had helped me to the gym will all this won't have happened" she said.

"Now you know !y usefulness" he boasted.

"No one said you are not of good use. The only thing in the matter is that you don't always want to be and that makes you not useful"

"Are you trying to say I'm useless?" He asked firmly.

"Never said that" she grumbled.

"I'm only teaching you a lesson. Even if you don't respect me as a boss, I think I'm still old enough to be your elder brother" .

Melissa pouted looking at him disdainfully.

"And I was also telling my elder brother that his manners isn't portraying a gentle man but my elder is proving stubborn" she said making her voice a bit childish.

"Little sis I know how to behave" he said with pride.

"I don't think so. Ever sis I met you elder brother, you've not behaved well" she nodded with a glare.

"And to you alone not to anyone else" he smirked.

"I'm really tired of your bad attitude. So brother, I don't care any more" she blurted out.

Drew burst into laughter. "Why on earth will you care before?"

Melissa was angry at his laughter. He seldom smile to her and now he laughs at everything she say and all was simply to scorn her.

"If brother continues this way he's sure going to end up with a rascally wife" she replied seriously.

Drew ruffled her hair and she darted a stern look at him and she hand combed her hair.

"Don't worry too much little sis. I do know how to handle rascals very well" he said in a sweet rich voice.

Melissa chuckled and gave him a cynic look.

Drew had a feeling that they were been followed and he looked back but all his saw were old couples behind them so he let it go.

He took Melissa to her hotel room, got his medic kit and treated her bad leg. He even made her coffee and left.

This was the first time the two will get close and talk for long aside work. Melissa smiled because at least he was nice today. It was oblivious to her that Drew's cell phone was lying on her bed. It was after a while when she freshened up and decided to relax that she saw it. She thought of going to gibe him but she schooled herself against it.

"Don't let me go before be start thinking I have an agenda. When he needs it he would come get it" she soliloquize.

She continued her normal routine, called her sisters, chatted with few people. She order for room service and skeft after eating. She totally forgot about Drew's phone which was busy ringing on her couch.

She slept quite a long while because she was really tired. She woke up around late evening and the first thing she saw was Drew's phone beeping. Then she realise he didn't come to pick it.

"He might have been searching for it without him knowing it is here with me".

She jumped into a short and a blouse to go give him. Has she opened the door to move out, she saw a talk figure standing by her door. She looked up and saw him staring at her.

"May I help you?" She frowned.

The guy didn't reply he was only sizing her up.

"What exactly are you doing at my door?"

He still didn't reply. Now Melissa was getting scared. This is not a place to just hang around, so she knew this man surely has a mission.

"Can you please move aside I have to step out" she ordered even though she expected him not to concur.

Just as she thought, the man pushed her inside and followed immediately. He closed the door behind them.

"What the heck!" She bellowed. "I never invited you in" she added.

Now she knew she was right with her thought that the man didn't mistakingly appear at her door. She quickly searched her body for her pepper spray but she realised that she hasn't even removed it since she got to the hotel and her phone also was plugged at the at far end of the room. Drew's phone that she held had password. So her case is hopeless.

"Sorry pie, that's isn't part of my attitude. I have good morals" he said smiling at angry Melissa.

"Who are you?" Melissa asked moved backwards trying to see if she can reach her phone before he notice.

The guy seems to be watvhi her every move and he followed her.

"You don't need to know who I am. We just need to talk privately" he said whispering the last word.

"I don't know you, how then do we have to talk" now she was really trembling because her phone was still far away.

The guy collected Drew's phone and smarched it on the wall thinking it was hers.

"We do have a score to settle" he miles wickedly.

"I do not have any score to settle with you man so let me be" she shouted in horror.

"No matter how you shout you can't be heard so save your strength and let's have a peaceful discussion" he said in ire.

Melissa didn't want to show the guy any sign of weakness but her body wasn't trying to corporate. Although she was that scared out side but a leaf wouldn't shake as much as she is shaking inside which she know that in no time will manifest outside. She prayed earnestly that someone who come around to save her from this strange man.

"Go ahead" she said with a little shaky voice.

The man smiled at her corporation. "I heard Drew is keeping a beauty in this hotel. At first I never believed not until I followed himand I finally met you" he said licking his lips lustfully.

"And what has that to do with me?" She asked naively.

"I'll tell you a very interesting but sad story" he pulled her to himself and whispered in her ears.

Melissa stiffed herself not kniwi what the guy meant to do. Her head was scattering thinking on what to do to escape this man.

"My younger sister adores that Drew since they were in high school but she got nothing but scorn from him. She did everything to please him but this arrogant goat wouldn't do a thing but ignore her".

"Fine he is cute and rich but that shouldn't mean he should be a snob. I wouldn't have care for his attitude towards her but he did something really bad" he paused and gave a distance look filled with deep hatred.

Melissa struggled to be free from the man. She didn't have time to digest what the man was saying. All she want is to be free from him.

"Stay still I'm not done" he said firmly with a cold look. "Then one day, he humiliated her in front of hundreds of people, calling her a dirt that he could never touch. At that time my sis felt she has nothing to live for so she attempted suicide by poisoning herself. Till this day my sis is still in coma and it's already five good years while Drew roams about with such beauty as you. Isn't that interesting to you?"

As the guy spoke into her ears, she knew there us no escape for her. The guy thinks she's Drew's girl and there's no amount of words she would say that would convince him. She shook her head at his question.

"It should be!" He shouted that her ear itched.

"I'm so sorry for your loss" finally she broke down and cried.

"Your sorry isn't enough dear. I've made a promise to mipy little sis that I would avenge and Drew Kmetko won't have a peaceful home as long as I am alive" he added biting her ear slightly.

"Please don't hurt me. I'm begging you" she wept.

He released her and looked at her tears filled face.

"You've been hurt since the day you hook up with that son of a b**tch called Drew Kmetko" he groaned in a Wolfy way.

"Please, I'm not Drew's girl" she said shakingly.

The guy laughed out loud. "Don't deny him baby. I'm not gonna kill you" he said smiling while his eyes danced wickedly over her body.

Melissa knew it's only God that can save her from this bittered man.

"Pull off your clothes" he ordered.

"You want to rape me" she asked angrily.

She knew she had to fight this with everything she has. She won't go down easily.

"I wouldn't put it like that. I would prefer to say we are going to have a pretty big fun together" he said winking at her.

"But I thought you want revenge?" She asked boldly.

All the question she was asking him was to buy herself little time. Maybe Drew would remember his phone and come to pick it.

"Yes that's what I'm doing. I'm going to pleasure you then put the picture on line for the world to see that someone mesmerized almighty Drew's baby. I want to see how he won't be so hurt" he laughed loudly even though the laughter didn't reach his house.

"You want to set me up!" She asked astonishly.

The thought of the disgrace she would face because of a guy she hate the most in her life. She couldn't even help but scream.

"You are choosing the wrong woman" she blurted out.

"I don't care" he said.

He pushed her to he wall and plastered her mouth and started to undress her. Melissa fought but her strength wasn't enough. He tore her clothes and cut her bra into two with his pen knife. Melissa cried bitterly.

After Drew's meeting, he felt like checking on Melissa but he felt it was a funny feeling. He then went to his hotel suite to take a nap but he kept hearing her call for him on his head, so he felt he should call her to check if she is fine. Then he couldn't find his phone and he remembered that the last time he saw it was when he was with Melissa. This gave him the reason to go see her.

When he got to her door, he heard a male voice. He was surprised that she invited a male to her room and he turned to leave so as not to interrupt them.

"I'm going to enjoy this sweet flavored skin o yours" he heard from inside.

Drew grimaced. "What the heck" he sizzled.

He couldn't believe that Melissa couldn't act so promiscuous. She thought he to be of pure breed but this really reduced his respect for her and he felt so disgusted.

"Hmm so this is what that fool is enjoying after what he did. I'm going to show him that I can do anything to his girl".

As he heard that he knew exactly what was going on. He swiftly brought out the spare card that was given to him for Melissa's room and opened the door. He pounced on the guy.

"Call 911" he shouted.

Melissa quickly removed the plasters and ran to her phone. Before she finished Drew already bind the guy after beating him up with the same lasted he used on Melissa.

He brought a towel for her to cover her body. Melissa cried so hard that Drew had to hug her tightly patting her head.

"I'm so sorry" he said painfully.

The cops came to take the guy away after getting their statement. The hotel director came with few members of the management to apologize to Drew and Melissa which Drew quickly dismiss them.

They whole happenings didn't leave Melissa. She could still feel the way he licked her body and she felt nauseated. She ran into the toilet to empty her stomach. When she came back, Drew advised her to go take a hot bath to calm her nerves which she did.

"Do you know that guy?" She asked immediately she came out.

Drew looked at her and gave a straight look pretending not to be affected by her pure beauty. She look like a fresh meal that everyone will love to taste.

"Yes I do" he has difficulty in breathing proper but because of how disciplined he is, he was able to avoid ogling her.

"So all what he said was true?"

She never blamed Drew for what happened. It wasn't a must to fall in love with someone. She felt the Lady was super stupid for committing suicide.

"I can't answer that since I don't know what he told you" he watched her sit beside him.

Melissa quickly narrated what the guy said.

"That's a blatant lie. I never even had her time. She disgraced herself" he said blankly.

"Do you mind to tell?" She asked with care.

"She walked into my office with fake appointment, she thought I was the only one alone. The next thing she did was to undress herself. I was so shocked with her audacity that it bereft me to tell her that I had company. Unfortunately for her some business pals who ask if they could use my rest room to make quick decision on the deal we were about to finalise came out seeing her naked. I didn't even know that she had business deal with them. The reporter they bought secretly took her pictures and posted it online. That how she lost lot of her business pals and the next thing I heard was that she attempted suicide" he explained with a blank expression.

"How exactly is that my fault?" He asked with a frown.

Melissa sighed. "You know they have to blame someone" she replied with a stiff smile.

"I'm so sorry. You got caught up in my mess" he apologized with sincerity.

She saw the truth in his eyes and she felt pity for him. He has issues because lot of women want him.

"You don't need to apologize. It's not as if I'm new to it" she gave him a warm smile.

Drew didn't get her. "New to what?"

She released a caged breath. She knew she shouldn't have said that. Now she need to clarify things or else her words will mean another thing.

She smiled palely. "All through my life I've always tried to avoid much contact with men. I don't even attend parties or gathering that include much men. But it is like men are totally drawn to me" she said vaguely.

Drew gave her more look to explain.

"From the time my dad died until now, men always want to take advantage of me especially when they realise that I need their help" she went further.

She went back to those times when she had to scream for help to be save from a man and the other man who came to her rescue still want to do the same. She was really vulnerable and tears begin to gather into her eyes.

Drew watched her as she smiled sadly to herself. He knew she was really hurt and he pitied her.

"How many times has that happened?".

She chuckled. "I've lost count".

"My goodness!" He couldn't believe what he heard.

"It got really worse that I do ask why me? It's not as if I do wear provocative wears neither do I move with friends. I didn't even come up with a reasonable reason for those attacks. There are lot of beautiful ladies who hasn't experienced half of what I that I'm not even good looking have experienced" she talked with a cracky voice.

Drew didn't know what to say to placate his unhappy assistant. He never knew she has passed through lot of this. He felt like he to know all the men no matter their number and deal with them mercilessly.

Another thing then dropped on his mind. He thought it only take a well disciplined man not to crave for a woman with such beauty as Melissa. She's just too charming.

"Don't you think I'm cursed?" She asked all of a sudden.

Drew burst into laughter. "Are you kidding me?"

"No I'm not" she said with a serious look. "You don't think so?" She asked naively.

He shook his head.

"Let's see it this way" she adjusted forgetting that she is with a towel. "I'm not the only female that he has seen around you. Why is it that his revenge is to rape me. The guy only gave that filmsy excuse just to touch me. Maybe someone cursed me that all men would always want me" she said dolefully.

"All men?"

"OK maybe not all but most" she said looking so serious.

Drew gave her a mocking look. "Who do you think placed the curse?"

He watchedas she concentrated on trying to remember if she had anyone who could. He knew she needed an excuse for what happened so she got that and believed it.

Drew patted her bare shoulder forgotten that she didn't had on any clothe. She looked at him with her eyes glistering with tears.

"Sweetheart don't get yourself worked up" he gave her an encouraging smile.

She returned his smiles to and tried to hide her tears.

Drew decided to tell her the truth behind her predicament.

"Have you ever stood in front of a large mirror?"

She shook her head.

"That's the reason you do not know how enchanting you are. You are not curepsed but you are your a charm to any man who sights. No man will see you and won't take a second glance" he said in his coolest voice. "You are irresistible Melly" he added.

Melissa gave him an unbelieving look thinking he o ly said that to make her happy. "I'm not that beautiful" she argued.

"You are Melly".

"Are you not a man?" She asked.

He laughed. "You can't judge with me. I'm not interested in any woman whether beautiful or not" he said impassively.

"Are you gay?" She asked not surprised.

If he wasn't gay he wouldn't be such workaholics.

"Do you want prove of that?"

He moved closer and she quickly shook her head.

"Do you want to go to the hospital or call a doctor?"

"Don't bother. You came at the right time. He didn't get to touch me. Moreover, ain't you a doctor?" She asked.

Drew chuckled. "At least let me get something to cool your nerves".

She nodded. "Thank you Drew. You are really my savior today" she looked at him to show her appreciation.

"It's nothing" he tapped her hand gently.

"And sorry about your phone" she looking at he pieces on the table.

"Don't. I'll just get another".
