The office worker sat on the bench, a small bag was strapped onto his body. He was wearing the clothing of the casual folk. Grumbling along the increasing heat of the morning, he sighed in relief as the train to Jakarta came to his position.
The doors opened, revealing a sight.
Damn, he thought as each car was starting to get filled with people of all ages and sizes. No way I'm standing, he added, these legs of mine would get killed by the time I reach the city center, and waiting for another train would just take even more time.
He looked upon the roof of the train, and saw the wires were slightly higher than usual. He hummed to himself, grinning at the prospect of an alternative route. The train closed its doors as it started to move away from the station.
The officer worker looked at his boots, and gave a slight kick: springs came out of the soles. Good thing I bought them! He thought to himself proudly.
Bringing himself to a sprint, he leaned down the pavement and jumped himself onto the roof of the train. His springs coming back into the soles. The shout of a security guard pierced his ears, and looking back, he saw the security guard on his walkie talkie.
We're already far, he said to himself, might as well just relax and enjoy the ride. He laid upon the roof of the train. His head just passing over each of the cables and wires as the train went on with its journey.
Yet he started to fee a bump in the road, which was odd for a train.
His eyes shot up as he started to see toasters with wings hovering above him. The sky was now pastel blue, and the sun was a sparkling lemon like yellow. Was he in a cartoon?
"NOPE." he exclaimed as the train started to wobble about even as the structure was on a single railroad. The worker's eyes locked on to objects up front.
"I don't remember a wave coming here." He said of the wave loudly. "It didn't even rain last night"
The wave dashed through the train, the water pressure bringing up the train slightly to the air, then going beyond land. The officer worker yelped as the train was now disconnected from the train tracks, his feet sticking to the roof as he extended both his arms for balance. He had a small grin on his face.
The train was his surfboard, and this odd tsunami was his wave.
Time felt faster as he was surfin through the wave on the train, as the train station of the city center was visible in his eyes.
The water started to die out as it brough the train to a halt. The office worker laid down on the train, avoiding the cables. He noticed the very confused crowd of people, then looked at his watch. Still got time to make it, he thought to himself. His phone then buzzed in his pocket, opening it, there was a message, and his eyes soon widened.
Reading it, the message said: Offices are closed today because most projects have been completed. Feel free to spend the day to relax. A treat from the boss.
