Mac the Goldfish

REPORT BY DANO, STAFF MEMBER

Audio Recording.

This recording was made on a bright wednesday at 9.30 AM. My colleagues sometimes conceieved me as sarcastic and monotonous, and let me say that today is a beautiful day indeed, where as cliche as it sounds, the birds were singing, the wind was blowing nicely (though it may not always blow in here considering some windows are closed tight to the brim), and I am surrounding by different people, each having their own quirks and characteristics on who they are.

I was the assistant of Dr. Greeves, who unfortunately, had a very important errand to run, thus leaving me in charge of whichever patient he had.

One of them ran straight to his office where I was stationed. The patient, number 26, had bright orange hair, although his hair color was the least of my worries, for he had his hand on his stomach, and he seemed he was aching.

"Somebody thought it would be funny to put Mac the Goldfish inside my drink!" the patient said rather angrily, even though his anger wasn't pointed toward me.

"Mac?" I questioned. The patient proceeded to tell me that Mac was a goldfish that resided in a fish bowl in the kitchen. Seeing how this place was full of people that generally has issues with their mind, I had the patient stand near the X-Ray to see if he was telling the truth.

The X-Ray here was of higher tech. Although it was thin in design, it was powerful enough to see at the human body beyond the skeleton. In this case, I adjusted the x ray to show me the patient's internal organs.

Normally any odd objects would be marked in white. One such object was indeed in white, and it was swimming around in the patient's stomach.

Oh dear.

"See? I told you." The patient said. "Where's the doctor by the way?"

I told him about the doctor's absence. The patient grumbled.

"I have a better solution" I told him as I grabbed the box full of pills. They were green and blue in color. "Take this and swallow it."

"Without water?"

"If you drink more water Mac will most likely be drowned and be pushed toward your bladder. You don't want that right?" THe patient then took the pill and swallowed it whole. I told him to stand as still as possible.

A large grumble came from the patient's stomach, as lines were formed around it. By the time there was an outline on his stomach, I proceeded to put on my rubber gloves. The patient flinched as he felt something coming out of his stomach. As I expected from the pill, there was a handle on him. Pulling the handle, his bottom organs was detached from hsi body, yet he was still breathing.

"Do not panic." I tell him as he was starting to show anxiety. I saw Mac the goldfish swimming into a portion of the his stomach's liquids. "Sorry Mac." I tell the goldfish as I scooped him up with both of my hands, before placing him in a box previously filled with water. I then closed the man's stomach. Looking at my watch, seconds have passed, and the handle and outlines around the patient's stomach disappear.

"You may be dismissed." I tell the patient. "I'll be sure to let the kitchen know about this."

The patient looks at me before walking away. "And I thought I was crazy." he said under his breath.

I can understand if he didn't enjoy that. But still, those DE-Tachment Pills were very useful for cases like him.
