The security guard drank out of the wrapped plastic containing cold tea within a heartbeat. Even inside a large mall, he still felt the heat. The place he had to cover alongside other guards wasn't as clean as other malls, or had a large amount of air conditions left, right, top and bottom.
"Don't drink and eat too much on the job!" a playful voice came from the security guard's walkie talkie. He picked it up and replied. "Yeah, yeah." Nothing exciting ever happens here, he thought.
Getting up on his stool, he began his sweep of the situation. It was noon, and there wasn't a lot of visitors around, which was strange considering the mall was in the busier sections of Jakarta. He stopped as he heard a scrummage from the elevator, along with some banging.
"What the?" he wondered as he began to inspect the elevator doors. They opened just as he was within a few inches.
Birds came out and he tumbled backwards. Next, an elephant appearedi in his eyes. It was fit enough to get into the elevator. The large animal's feet gave the ground a slight rumble, and the security guard scooted away.
A parade of clowns were next after the elephant. They were all dressed in full makeup and costume, and in each of their hand were instruments of many kind: trumpets, tamborines, drums.
"Ducks?" the security guard said in shock as a school of ducks began to walk their way out. The security guard made a mental count on how many were there. 10, 20, 30, they keep going on until the last duck went out.
The security went to his feet and scratched his head. He proceeded to get into the elevator, and get up to the next floor.
Then he saw a baby duckling at the corner of the elevator. He sighed.
"Go ahead." he said to the duckling as held the elevator doors. The duckling went out of the elevator, and the guard went up to the second floor.
Now there's something you don't see every day, he said to himself quietly.
