Chapter 5

Xenon's POV

"But I really like you, Xenon." I kept hearing those words in my mind as I was in the middle of a fierce battle. I just can't forget what she just said and now it was all in my mind. The heck!

"Xenon, stay away!" cry of the ladybug who was with me as we fought a giant creature having an extreme ugliness.

I was about to be hit when suddenly there was a large circle in front of me that became my protection from the fiery hand of the giant. It was classy and amazing power that came from somewhere.

Earlier I was trying all my power and strength to eliminate it but nothing was happening either.

I stared at the ladybug Ferra who was giving me protection as I found out that it was from her. She smiled at me as I didn't understand it that makes me so curious about the way she does it.

"Xenon, I'm glad that I met you." What is she saying right now?

"Xenon, you need to hit him where his power came from." she says to me and I nodded in response.

I flew upwards and as I flew I heard Ferra's shrill cry. I want to go back to her. I want to help her but how?

However, I again turned my attention to the monster that wanted to occupy my territory. I circled the whole of it and then I saw the red light that would radiate its power from behind him.

I quickly approached it and then I broke it causing it to gradually weaken. When I saw it, I make it turn into ashes and then I immediately approached the body of the ladybug Ferra which was slowly disappearing.

"Thank you very much, Xenon." it yielded to me. Even with this hard work on trying to do something, she was still able to touch my cheek and in the last moment of her breath she was able to thank me for no reason, I guess.

I always show to those individual around me that my heart is hard for them though its not. In my journey, as the evil hero of my own story. Ferra was a good friend. She was always there when I needed her the most but I just showed up and I just made her feel that I was on top, that I am a cold hearted one, that I didn't needed her.

Tears welled up in my eyes this time. I thought that bug just didn't matter to me at all, but why do I feel this way for her? I'm sorry I don't understand. I bent down and at the same time the tears kept flowing from my cheek that are now falling on the ground.

"And when have you been lame, Xenon?" A familiar voice I heard nearby. I raised my face and then my eyes searched for the creature from which that voice came. Later, not far away, I saw my Mother.

"What are you doing here?" a sound of a warning question to my Mother. She just looked at me as she got closer and closer to me with a smile on her lips as if she didn't know she was happy that she saw you or not.

"Is that how you greet your Mother?" she asked me as it circled around to walk to where I was standing.

"You know sometimes I also need to visit my dearest daughter so I can see what she's really up to here." Still not faded, she is still really the scariest creature I have ever met.

"By the way, Apollo was the one you fought before. It's amazing how good you showed in-"

I didn't expect my body to spontaneously move to slap my mother. How was she able to get that monster into my territory? How was he able to harm her daughter?

"Is that what you learned here ?!" shouted angrily at me as the whole of its eyes turned red.

"Unwillingly and willingly, you will come back to us." its said while noticing on its face the annoyance of how she feels.

"But I am happy here!" my answer with stubbornness tone.

"I'm your Mother and you'll follow what I say if you don't want it all to be lost!" she threatened me before disappearing in front of me. All my life that woman controlled me. Why? Why do I have to follow her? I know I am her daughter but as far as I know mothers do support their childrens on what they do in their life. Shouldn't she let her daughter do what she wants to do?

I'm decades old, I'm no longer young for that kind of thing.

"She's your Mother." I was just surprised when Cooper suddenly appeared not far away.

"Are you still there? How long are have you been there?" I asked her. I just nodded at it in response as it slowly approached me.

"Aren't you scared?" I asked her again. Mother's appearance was frightening and I had to admit that I really did look ugly too.

"No. Why should I be afraid of the former Queen?" she said.

"Former Queen?" I just frowned as I said those words.

"Someone said back then that the former Queen turned into a monster after she was betrayed by her best friend and her beloved."

"You're making me believe what's being said. It's not Mother. It's natural for my Mother to be a monster." I answer her.

"Xenon." I just stared at her when she whispered my name.

"Cooper, stop from saying those nonsense." I told her.

"But Xenon, I really wants you!" its getting weird to me to be honest.

"Cooper we're both women. Please! Stop that!" I scolded her but it seemed like her mind was rock hard and she even managed to hug me.

"Why can't the same sex love each other?" she asked me. I feel like my heart is going to explode. I couldn't breathe, I didn't know what was happening to me. What's this?

I closed my eyes and hugged Cooper's warm body as well. I don't know why is this like this, how this is how I feel for her. All I knew was I wanted to protect her. I want to take good care of her and most of all I want to be with her for the rest of her life.

You are really crazy Xenon. What does that woman have do to you? Why does it hit you so quickly and you hit her the same way in your heart?
