Time seemed to pass by slowly inside the guildhouse. The once joyful mood of Viper's birthday celebration died down in a blink of an eye.

"Elliot?" Lance called out to his friend who was sitting on a corner, staring at the void with a blank expression.

"Hey," Connor pulled Lance's wrist. "Let him stare. He's not in the best mood right now."

"I know that," Lance sighed. "He doesn't want to be betrayed again, and he just did. But we can't let this stop us from moving forward. We have to find a way out of this."

"I have an idea," Elliot suddenly said, making his friends look at him. "What if we sneak out of here and find a way to locate Death?"

"That would be fine except from the part that he would kill the Trinity of Power," Lance said. "And maybe the entire population of Solaguer for that matter."
