"You really are fond of that kid," the blue-eyed man chuckled. "Frederick, what if you could see her today? I can arrange that, you know."

Frederick grinned but shook his head. "No, thank you, Hansel. I made a promise to that man that if they live, he'll be the first to see her."

"Honorable," Hansel shrugged. "But then Malice has changed Vassals for three times these past few months. Only six of us remained. That's about half."

Frederick clenched his jaw. "That's twisted. She's becoming twisted as the time passes. How will they get to her?"

"We have a plan," Hansel said. "My sister has been with her these past few weeks. We know her schedule and her schedule involves going inside the princess's room for sixteen hours in a day."

"She's very cautious," Frederick sighed. "I might stay here for a while. Just so I could keep an eye on their safety."
