The First Children

Rebecca senses the danger looming over her. When she looked up, there was a giant eye glaring at her.

"Malice?" Rebecca asked out loud, then realizing that it was not the Black Queen. Her head snapped to the direction of Midnight.

The man was grinning from ear to ear. His eyes were piercing through the woman, gazing like the eye above them.

"It's you?" Rebecca gulped, fear running through her veins as she saw the intense aura boiling inside Midnight. It wasn't something like she felt before- nothing like the enemies she fought nor the allies she held her fist for.

"My father said I was normal," Midnight said. "That I was not defective. I just dress like this because it's normalcy for me. I don't have to settle for anything other than the ones women wear. Because I am normal."
