I waved back at them but soon after, I was woken up via slap to the face.
I sat up from the shock, it wasn't too long when I realized I was on top of a bed. I was in a wooden house "A cottage?"
There was a knock on the door, the knocking continued for a while until I called out, "Come in."
The door opened, a guy walked in with a food tray, there were eggs, bacon, and bread on it, the guy had grey hair but didn't look like an old person.
"Morning sleepyhead," he said.
"Uh... Morning to you too.." I replied.
He had a sword on his back, probably for good reason. I sat up as he handed me the tray.
"Okay, I'm sure you're really confused right now and probably want to know what the heck is going on."
He seemed really relaxed, I felt at ease talking to him.
"Well... Yeah, who are you?" I asked
He sat at the corner of the bed. "Well my name is Shinsuke, but you could just call me Shin, I'm the guy that needed a brick into your face." he smiled innocently as if that was obviously an okay thing to do.
"Why?" I asked.
"Well, to be honest. I just lost my footing when I was aiming for that Wallbreaker guy."
"You. Ah. Fair... Why did Wallbreaker guy try to kill me?" I asked.
Shin shifted then gave me a less reassuring smile as he rubbed the back of his head.
"Oh well, ya see... He's out to get ya because you both are kinda possessed by the two most powerful beings in the universe. There's a prophecy and everything, so... Yeah, I'm supposed to train you so that you can become the new Light Arts user... Ah. Ha." he laughed nervously.
"I.. When does the training begin?" I asked.
He slowly got up then headed towards the door. "Right now." he walked out, leaving me to finish my breakfast alone.
Never... Have... I ever! Hated running this much, sprinting 1000 miles would be considered impossible right? Wrong!
As I ran beside Shinsuke, Shin, of course, started a conversation.
"So...Jake...oof...who were you before... you were possessed?"
I struggled but managed words, "Well I was a normal Highschool student about to graduate until this happened, nothing exciting about me personally really... Say... Who is the guy that possessed me?"
Shin changed to a more serious tone. "Well, his name is Kuroto. He was a former human, such as yourself but he died in combat. He fought an evil person who dedicated himself to killing the human race. To him, mankind was an abomination. To no surprise, Gorn approved of his outlook on people and granted him his Dark Art's power. Gorn is a dragon who roamed the earth far before us, with him was another dragon called Leia, she was the exact opposite. She loved humans, she was also a dragon... a white one, created from the clouds." he stopped himself from continuing his story. " It looks like we're here."
In front of me was a big gate, probably to protect a village from unwelcomed wandering people and I must be one of them.
"Why are we-" I was interrupted by the crackling noise of the gate slowly opening, as it opened a short female was standing there, arms crossed with a cross face as if we were expected to run a thousand miles faster.
"Where were you two?" she asked in a strict tone.
Shin raised his hands to his chest, signaling defeat. "You see... I found the chosen one and he kind of slept longer than expected." He smiled nervously.
"Hmm..." she walked around me, observing my worthiness I guess."You don't seem very... warrior-like, but who am I to doubt that bastard's judgment." she sighed, "Come on in, we have a lot to show you."
Get this, a flashlight...right? That makes light, y'all still with me?
Alright now imagine a sword that does that...
Crazy? I know! Anyway... that's all, let's continue
The girl took us to her dojo and it was massive!
It stood 20 meters tall, it expanded to at least four football fields and it had at least two guards at every entrance, it was extraordinary.
Shin looked at me and nervously smiled, "I know, I know...My brother trains here...Just going to go fetch that suit, wait for me here, alright?"
Shin jogged to the entrance, talked about a minute or few with the guards then the talking turned into yelling, Shin ran back to us.
"Okay, so my brother's guards don't want us in there..."
The girl placed her hands on her hips, "Oh..uh okay...can we break in or?"
"Of course...just gotta summon something real quick." Shin started producing white smoke from his fingertips. It quickly covered most of the grass in front of us.
Just then an army of soldiers appeared from the mist he had created.
"Okay so you two lead them into the dojo and I wait here."
The girl unseethed her katana, "Ready."
I jumped to the side, "What? Are you nuts? We can't just invade a dojo without a plan!"
Shin waved me to stay quiet," Ah shush, Yuri, listen to your father and go invade that dojo."
"Right, get ready chosen one," she said.
The army weren't normal people, the seemed to be solid clouds, their armor didn't fall through, they didn't have faces just mouths that gushed out water whenever they opened them.
Yuri stood ready to run towards the Dojo. I did the same, awkwardly standing next to her.
She started a countdown, "Three..." She waited for me to continue this madness.
"T-Two..." I cracked.
Shin hopped in excitement, "Now this is an entrance!"
Yuri continued, "One."
"Are we really invading a DOJO?!?" I asked, desperately hoping for this to be a joke.
"This is the only way, let's show them who's boss-"
Just then a man walked out of the building, brown hair, wearing a traditional samurai robe. His presence seemed to have frozen Yuri's fighting spirit.
"A-ah..." Shin stuttered.
