The village

John was so happy to see that some people had survived this. The woman told him that her name was Kasandra and that they are one of the last groups that are still alive. John's eyes started to water after she said that but he had to keep his tears inside. There were mostly little kids and old people in that village. John asked Kasandra if anyone helped her take care of everyone and with a sad expression she said " No, i am the only one that these kids and old aged people rely on". John felt so bad now since it was all his fault that so many people had to suffer like this. John told her that he would be more then happy to stay with them and help around. Two weeks past and John grew attached with everyone. One morning though everything changed drastically. That morning John went out of the village for a walk when he came back to the camp, no one was there. The only one there was Kasandra and she was crying. John asked her why she was crying and all she said was " They are gone..all of them GONE". John didnt know what to think at this point but he realised she meant they died. He was unsure how they would all just die. She explained that after he left for his walk that she went to the nearby river for a quick swim and when she came back they were dead. John's first thought was that it could have only been those monstrous creatures. He reassured Kasandra until she stopped crying. After she stopped John swore that if he ever saw one of those creatures he would kill it. They couldnt stay at the village unfortunately so they had to find another means of shelter. They took their belongings and started to walk until they find a suitable living area. Suddenly they stumbled upon a house in the forest. They found it highly suspicious but decided to live there anyways. After a day of living there, they felt like it was time to make some weapons and prepare for battle. It would take them weeks to have enough equipment in order to kill any creature. So first they had to make that cold building into a warm home. Just so they feel at ease sometimes and not worried and paranoid about everything.
