XXX Adaline
Where was I? Oh, I was in Chase's arms. I guess I had fallen asleep at one point. My face is on Chase's chest and his arms are wrapped around me. I gazed up at him. His head was snapped back on his pillow. His mouth was open. And he was drooling. I almost bursted into a fit of giggles when he snored. I couldn't stop smiling at the thought of him kissing me. He snored again but louder, much louder.
"Wait, are you messing with me?" I whispered. He snored again. What a dork. He peeked one eye out and slapped a boyish grin on his face.
"I've been so bored, you don't know how many minutes I have been pretending to snore, I thought you'd wake up immediately, but you joined me snoring." He started to laugh and my cheeks reddened.
"Do I really snore? Be serious." He tried to calm his face but he bursted out laughing.
"Like a bulldog." He playfully teased me.
"Really? Well at least I don't have bulldog breath." Chase's eyes grew wide.
"Does my breath really stink? The last time I brushed it was, uh, yeah, I don't remember." We bursted out laughing. The door clicked open and Jack came into the room.
"Hey guys. Looks like you guys are having a fun time." We look at each other and laugh.
"You have no idea." Chase says with a gleam in his violet purple eyes. I smiled at him and he smiled back.
"That's fun and all, but we gotta go." I hear Axel yelling from the hallway.
"Oh, yeah sure." We say in unison.

I could still feel the warmth on my chest where Adaline slept. She must had been exhausted since she immediately fell back asleep after we kissed. She was talking and suddenly she stopped in mid-sentence and when I looked down she was sleeping again! I smiled. I took Adaline's hand as we walked down the hallway. She looked at me and smiled, I felt the same warmth go spreading throughout my chest. We swing our hands back and forth until we got into the golf cart. Jack and Vanessa were in the back, talking and laughing, and Adaline and I sat in the middle row. The only one who didn't seem happy was Axel. He rolled his eyes at us every chance he got. I smirked. He was probably just jealous.
Random weapons crowded us as we drove through the city.
"How nice are the houses where we are staying?" I ask questioningly to Adaline.
"The water works and most of the houses look untouched." I smile. Sounds good to me.
"That's good. At least I won't hear your snoring anymore." She scowled at me and we laughed.
"I thought you liked my snoring, music to your ears." I laugh.
"Sureee, and I love old canned tuna." We laugh and then quiet down when Axel shoots daggers at us with his eyes. I mouth to Adaline someones cranky. We laugh.
"Shut up. I'm trying to drive, and I can't focus with all of your giggles." Forced to be silent the whole way back, Adaline and I sent silent messages to each other and tried not to laugh.
Woah, this part of town was fancy. There were super tall business buildings, expensive hotels. Hospitals. And the best thing about it was there were a lot of crashing buildings.
"How?" I ask questioningly
"We don't know, maybe there was a war and half of the city was ruined. We'll never know. Everyone is staying at the Ritz Hotel,it's easier that way, so we don't have the regroup. I nodded, as we stopped in front of a large building.A sign said on the building "THE RITZ HOTEL". I helped Adaline out of the golf cart. We entered the lobby, woah, this place was huge and not to mention fancy. Expensive couches, rugs, tables, fire places, littered the room. Kids walked through the lobby bored.
"Hey!" Axl snapped at a group of teens. They looked at each other and pointed at their chests mouthing "Me?"
"All of you get your lazy butts over here, and help us unload the guns. The scrambled to their feet, running to the entrance.
"Woah! You weren't kidding when you said this was the rich part of town!" I explain in awe. Adaline smiles at me.
"Come one, I can show your room." She walked to the stairs.
"What floor are we on?"
"I'm in the president's suite, I have an extra room there." I grinned at her.
"Wait." She stopped on the stairs, and raised an eyebrow. "What floor is that?" She grinned.
"That's why no one wanted it. It's floor twenty-two." I groan.
"I think i'm going to regret this." She smirked at me.
"I think you'll live." Then I looked in awe as she sprinted up the stairs.
"Wait!" I yell behind her. "You know I'm still a little sore." I walk up the stairs as fast as I can with her.
"Come one slow poke! We don't have all day!" She taunted me. It took about ten minutes for me to finally get to the twenty-second floor. When I opened the door from the stairs section, I saw Adaline in the hallway on the floor.
"Yeah, yeah, I get it, I was so slow that you napped." She snored in response. I rolled my eyes, stepping over her, I pressed her belly button.
"Ahh!" She shrieked, her eyes flinging open. "Chase! Couldn't you tell I was sleeping?" She says with a smirk. I gave her my hand and she grabbed it. We walk down the hall, her hand still in mine. The hallway had deep velvet rugs that went straight to HUGE double doors. There was a sign by the door saying "Presidential Suite" She opened the door, and my jaw dropped
The room was filled with windows looking straight into the city that was half in ruins half not.
"Wow." I whispered. There were white couches and expensive interior designed rugs. The coffe table was completely white with designs engraved in it. I whisield.
"This is awesome!" Adaline smirked at me. Then I followed her into a room.
"You can stay here." There were two beds in the room, one of the beds was already ruffled.
"Who's my roommate? She smirked at me.
"Me." She says casually, my heart quickened. Trying to calm my nerves.
"Cool." I say trying to act bored. I jump on my bed. "What are we gonna do now?"
"There's some snacks in the kitchen." I grin.
"Sounds good to me." I jumped off the bed and picked Adaline by the waist and threw her over my shoulder. She shrieked and I chuckled. I walked out of the room and into the very large kitchen.
"Help! Let me go!" I ignore her protests and laugh as I put her on the kitchen marble counter. "You know I can walk right?" She says with a big beaming smile.
"Yeah, but I like carrying my girlfriend." Her eyebrows rose.
"So, I'm officially your girlfriend huh?" I lean closer to her.
"If you want to be." I whisper in her ear. She grinned into the crook of my neck.
"Of course!" I smiled at her fast reply.
"Well then, I'm going to kiss my girlfriend." She giggles as I give her little pecks all over her face.
"Hope I'm not interrupting anything." a familiar voice says behind us. I irritatingly look over to see Jack leaning on the door frame.
"You were." I groan out of frustration and lift Adaline's weightless body off the counter.
"So, what do you want?" I say with my hands on Adaline's waist and my chin on her head, since I was way taller than her.
"We got to have a council meeting." He says as he leans off the door frame and walks out the door.
"I guess we better get going, before Axel gets mad." I lift her by the waist as she giggles, putting her on my shoulders.
"I could get used to being carried by my boyfriend." She says happily in my ear. I grin up at her and walk out of the kitchen. Jack is waiting by the stairs.
"Omg! Couple goals!" he says sarcastically. I roll my eyes, he wishes he had my angel.
"What floor are we doing the meeting?"
"One floor up."
"Okay" me and Adaline say at the same time. I had a girlfriend, and she was perfect.
