Chapter 63: Making a sword for Embra(1)

Lead by the old man, Embra and others are walking through the treasure chamber which seems endless. After passing through mountains of treasures and gold, they arrived at a place where large and small boxes are stored. The boxes are made by various materials such as wood and iron. The old man walks towards one of the boxes and shows Embra some materials there.

"How about this? This is called Orichalcum. One of the best material to forge a demon-slaying sword. Do you want this?" (Old god)

Embra looks at an Orichalcum ore in the old man's hand and holds it interestingly. As soon as the ore is held by Embra, Embra secretly uses the analysis ability given by Goddess Gaia. His purple turns purple but, the others did not see this because he is looking down at the ore.

'Wow... So, this is the material's structure, huh? I could not see till the atomic level but, for now, I will remember this structure as a photo. Might be useful in the future. Goddess Gaia's analysis ability is too damn good. As long as it is a non-living thing, I can see its molecule structure. I might rely on this heavily in the future.' (Embra's thought)

Embra, who is playing with the material, talks to the old god after analyzing the ore with his ability. The total time did not even take ten seconds. So, the old god did not have any suspicion to Embra and besides, Embra admit it honestly,

"Old man, I used analysis on this ore but, all I see are, um, how should I call it, an image about how this ore is formed. I could not understand how this will help me in killing the demons. Please do tell, Old man. I don't have sufficient knowledge." (Embra)

The old god smiles at the honest Embra while reminding himself that the other party is someone who passed the trial of true-self hold by the creator of the trial himself. The old god is also reminded of the punishment he received from the heaven court.

'Right. I have to forge a sword with the best material have, huh? Well, I also got to knows his personality a bit on the way here. He is a good man. After all, he has already passed the trial, lies, and deceiving would not work on him anyway. ... If it is him, there should not be a problem giving him the best sword in this whole world.' (Old god's thought)

The old god smiles and he told Embra to follows him. Embra asks the three girls with his eyes to help him pick up the materials. But, Keinnayi winks at Embra to answers that she will leave it to Embra while she watches from the sideline. Embra sighs softly but he has already calculated this. So, he follows the old man who is collecting this and that from the boxes.

After getting all the materials, the old man explains to Embra the materials one by one.

"Well, Embra, these are the best I have. Orichalcum, Quasicrystal, Scarletite, and liquid Mercury. Orichalcum is for the weapon's durability and conductivity. Well, in other words, this metal is goods for the utilization of chakra or natural energy. Liquid mercury also serves the same purpose and it is also good at merging with Quasicrystal. The crystal is something that exists in the outer space of this world.

The crystal is something from a meteorite. It is rare but it is good at forging a weapon because it has the ability to defy physical laws and whatever weapon that is, it will feel like a feather. And, finally, the main material, Scarletite.

This deep red metal is more powerful than any of the metal in this whole world. This metal was actually a crystallization of metals that can be formed in meteorites that are floating in the space. The metals become a Scarletite after absorbing the sunlight from close proximity for a thousand of years and gained the ability to kill demons.

I assure you, any weapon forged from this metal is a nemesis for the demons and they will melt like butter to a hot knife if you were to slay demons with that. So, are you satisfied with these weapons?" (Old god)

"... Satisfied? I have no more words to say, old man." (Embra)

"Hahaha" (Old god)

Of course, Embra has no words hearing the old man's explanation because they are all metals he has not heard before. He is not an expert in metals and jewelry but, when he was on earth, he himself owned some mines too and so, he has a bit of knowledge in rare materials and precious jewelry. However, he has never heard of the materials the old man is telling. So, he just leaves it to the old man.

The old man laughs and walks back towards the entrance of the treasure chamber. Embra is thinking about finding these metals when he gets his own land because he has already memorized the molecular structure of the metals the old man shows.

The three girls following Embra and the gold man do not say anything because they are satisfied with the metals the old man chose. In the first place, they are here as insurance in case the old man act rebellious. But, seeing that the old man has chosen the best material he has, the three are satisfied.

While walking back to the entrance, Embra is talking with the old man on which kind of katana he wants but, Embra suddenly stops his steps, together with his words. So, everyone looks at him in confusion and soon, they see that Embra is looking at a direction. They also follow Embra's line of sight but, only Algadore and the old god saw what is on the other side of the treasure mountain and the wall.

Keinnayi approaches Embra and asks him who then answers back after frowning a bit.

"Embra? What happened?" (Keinnayi)

"It is calling me. Someone is calling me. It is calling not with words but, with desire. It is expressing the desire for me to come to it..? hm..." (Embra)

Embra tilts his heads while explaining because he himself has no idea what he is feeling. It is not the same as the previous times where he felt the two goddesses reading his mind.

'When the two goddesses are reading my mind, I can feel them entering my mind but, this is more like... knocking? Yes. It feels like it is knocking on my mental barrier.' (Embra's thought)

While he himself is not sure what he is feeling, Sethar asks in surprise because even they could not enter Embra's mind that easily.

"Expressing the desire to you? Even though you have the mental barrier?" (Sethar)

"Yes... Weird. Old man, what is in that direction?" (Embra)

The old man shows a troubled face when he hears Embra's question. Algadore laughs a little and answers Embra in the stead of the old god.

"It is the fang of an Ouroboros. It seems, it is expressing its desire to be forged and used by you, Embra." (Algadore)

"A what?" (Embra)

"An Ouroboros. It is a dragon. And, this dragon. If I am not wrong, it is a dragon closed to ascending to a god realm and become a god. It seems, its fang is behind the wall. This is getting interesting." (Algadore)

Embra is surprised hearing that a fang of a dragon that is closed to becoming a god is calling him but, he does not know yet why it is calling him and moreover, according to Algadore, it is expressing its desire to be used by him. So, of course, Embra would be confused. While Embra is analyzing the desire that is knocking on his mental barrier, he heard Algadore asking some questions to the old man.

"Where did you get it? It is not possible for you to defeat it. Even Sethar would have a hard time defeating it. So, why does a fang-like that in your hand?" (Algadore)

Algadore is asking because she has the right to knows the answer as a goddess of a dragon who rules all dragons. Even if the dragon is not in the universe she rules over, she still has the right. So, the old man does not hide anymore and answers her honestly.

"I found that eons ago in the space before I became the god of this world. It was just floating in the space together with the meteorites. But, all these years, my attempt at trying to make something out of it did not bear fruit and so, I left it sealed but..," (Old god)

Algadore laughs at the old man who is having troubled and she told the old man to lead the way. Having no choice, the old man led the way around the treasure mountain to the sealed room behind the walls of the treasure chamber.

While opening the sealed room, the old man is thinking seriously,

'I know that there is still a bit of dragon's spirit remaining in that fang but, even I could not bring it out and make it submit to me but, now, it is expressing its own desire to be used by Embra? ... Seriously, what fate does this young man hold? 'The fang of an Ouroboros; a weapon made from this would gain the ability to cut anything. Does Embra deserve this weapon?

No. He deserves it. Once a fang of an Ouroboros expresses its desire to be used by someone, it will not submit to another person. It is not my right to question whether he deserved it. In the first place, the fang is not mine anyway and it is openly expressing its desire to be used by Embra. If he does not deserve it, no one else does in this whole universe.' (The old god's thought)

Algadore is also thinking the same thing as the old god but, she is faster at arriving at the same conclusion compared to the old man. Keinnayi and Sethar are also amazed at Embra to be able to make the fang of an Ouroboros submit to him. They are all thinking the same thing while feeling happy for Embra,
