Reminiscene of a stranger

Dan looked at the slightly faded photo. Logan still had short hair and a fuller face. How much has happened to him since then? On the following pages, Logan's favorite lyrics were written down. Dan also found two excited entries about the concert between the lines. From the days of the tour, only photos were in the diary.

He took a closer look at the pictures. One of the pictures featured him alone, smiling carelessly at the camera. His face was reddened, his freckles gleaming brightly on his face. Dan noticed that the picture could be folded up. There was a single sentence beneath it: I feel love. Dan smiled confusedly.

Shortly after their tour trip, Danny got together with Evelyn Benningham. Logan was angry at Danny, and he was angry at the girl, too. Danny told him one day that she would go over to them to meet the McKenzie family. Logan went home with tears in his eyes: the replacement has begun. He was unaware that the series of surprises had only just begun.

As he entered the apartment, Everest greeted him with a huge smile.

„Logan! You're finally home! We have an old good friend here." A muscular black-haired teenager walked out of the living room. Logan had never seen him before.

"Um… I don't think I-." Logan started to explain himself, but the stranger interrupted him.

„Come on Everest. How would he remember me? He was barely 7 years old when we met."

"Then you'll have time to get to know each other more closely this afternoon, because I have to go to take care of a few things. Logan, this is Isaac from the orphanage. He will live with us for a while. After all, thanks to his contacts, we were able to stay together. Now we can finally pay off our debt to him."

Logan could barely hear what Everest was talking about. He was too busy devouring Isaac with his eyes. He had barely begun to become acquainted with his sexuality, but somehow he felt that this encounter was decisive. He was eager to make their guest lunch, Isaac flooded him with praises. „Hey, do you want to go out?"Isaac leaned on the table.

Could have Logan say no to that? At last, someone spent time with him now that Danny was distracted with his new girlfriend. From that day, Logan and Isaac spent most of their time together. The older boy brought him to school and then picked him up. They hang out in the city, Logan even tried alcohol with the support of Isaac. He tried drinking a beer, but he found it disgusting. When he told Everest about it, his brother just laughed and shook his head. „you"ll like it when you are older." he said.

Older… Logan was thinking a lot about Isaac in ways, he wasn't supposed to. Was it right to like someone who was 5 years older than him? Was it right of Isaac to like him back? Did he even like him back? It sure seemed like it. Would Everest approve it? His brother was not angry at Isaac now that they spent most of their time together. In fact, he was glad he made Logan smile more. Maybe, it was alright to like someone like Isaac.
