déjà vu
noun
a feeling of having already experienced the present situation.
It was already lunchtime and the air was still freezing. A (your hair colour) haired girl stepped down the bus's steps, hugging her arms. She blew out and her, now visible, breath blew back into her face. She shivered, her black sports jumper being the only jumper on her body. Her leggings were hugging her body and plain sneakers scratched and muddy.
It was a lot warmer on the bus.
The girl's teeth chattered as she shivered, a friendly face came into her vision, two suitcases in her two hands. She raised a brow with a smirk.
"You good, Lucky?"
"N-No…" she responded barely above a whisper, her teeth continuing to chatter. Almost slicing off her tongue if it dared to intervene. She breathed out. "W-Why's it s-so cold?"
"I dunno… maybe cause we're, oh y'know. In the mountains?"
"B-Bitch…" Lucky replied, rubbing her arms.
"I think we should get our rooms, before Lucky freezes"
Lucky's head turned. Celia, a short and pale female, spoke up. Her light brown eyes were always as warm and sweet as hot chocolate. Lucky looked to Bella, who passed her her suitcase. Lucky grabbed it, immediately regretting it as the freezing handle collided with her already cold hands. She squeaked.
Bella's chestnut hair had been tied back, a small half down ponytail. Bella's icy blue eyes turned to the camp before them. Snow began to fall, lightly. Flakes pecking the ground, she sighed inaudibly. This camp was going to be fun.
"Alright, ladies. Let's go!" Bella shouted with enthusiasm. Her hand throwing forward she marched, Lucky and Celia following. Celia's pink parka sure looked warm and Lucky resented the fact she was stupid enough to not bring out a thicker coat whilst she had time at their last pit-stop. Bella's black snow coat looked just about as warm.
The three girls huddled in with the rest of the Year 10 cohort, boys and girls alike- all dressed warmer than Lucky. This just made her feel stupid. She gritted her teeth, god dammit. She huffed, blowing out a bunch of air.
Celia stood next to her, the short and petite female's curled lob blew around her face- following the wind eagerly. Lucky felt her nose begin to run, she wiped it on her sleeve. Can she go inside already?
"Alright, everyone!" Mr Juppepy shouted over the noise. He was the lead coordinator for the camp, he was joined by Mrs Thydion and Ms Berryein. They looked out amongst the students, assigning everyone their cabins. Bella, Celia, Lucky and another girl from their class called Darcy got assigned their cabin. Darcy was a friend from Bella's HPE class, she sat with her own friends, but they were all friendly with each other. Lucky believed Darcy also was in Celia's design group. Lucky huffed, again hugging her arms like no tomorrow. For fricks sake.
It was so cold.
The group of four entered their cabin. It was just a mere hallway with rooms hanging off the sides. Bella opened the door with the keys they were given, it swung open with a creak. Bella entered first, Celia and Darcy next. Lucky practically barrelling everyone out of her way to get in. She fell to the floor and sat there, shivering. Celia looked down in concern.
"Lucky?"
"She's dying of hypothermia" Darcy commented also watching in curiosity. Her long chocolate locks had been braided into a single plait, it hung off her shoulders. She pushed her glasses further up her nose. Bella chuckled, grabbing Lucky's suitcase and pulling out a thick snow jacket, a furry hood accompanying the dark green attire.
Bella threw it down onto the Lucky the female immediately slipping it on, zipping it up. She ran to her suitcase grabbing her snow boots and thick socks. Slipping them on as well. Celia was in a pair of ugg boots and whilst Darcy and Bella also held some more enclosed shoes than Lucky's poor sneakers.
"PWHA!" Lucky screeched out as she sat up, feeling warmer already. Darcy grabbed some of her warm winter earmuffs, passing them down to Lucky. The girl took no time at all in placing them on her head. She sighed. "Warm…" she mumbled. Celia giggled and Bella shook her head.
Bella looked down at the timetable she was given. "Looks like we don't get any lunch now for half an hour"
"Aaaaahhhh, but I'm huuunnngrrryy" Celia cried out, falling back. She sighed, crossing her arms. Huffing.
Darcy snickered at this and climbed the ladder of one of the two bunk beds. She flopped down. "I call top!"
"Guess, I'm on the bottom then" Bella sighed, throwing her bags down. Celia threw her blanket onto the spare bottom.
"You get the top Lucky!" Celia said, falling onto her bed. Lucky groaned.
"Whhhyyy?"
"Because I don't trust these things!"
"So, you'd rather be crushed?"
"Not like that you idiot!" Celia barked, waving her hand. "You know very well I don't trust sleeping in high places!"
Lucky laughed and climbed up the ladder, sitting on her bed. Her eyes wandered the room, bare white walls. A single window in the middle of the two bunk beds, with a large desk like dresser below it. There was a cupboard with sliding doors next to Bella and Darcy's bunk. Whilst the door into the room itself was next to Celia and Lucky's. There was a single plain white wooden door that led most likely to a small bathroom.
Lucky could guess that the room had been copy pasted throughout the entire camp's cabins. She looked out the window, a single cement path and lots of shrubbery outside. Slowly being littered with white snow.
Lucky flipped back over, looking up at the ceiling. She breathed out heavily, closing her eyes. The warmth in her jacket, a euphoric paradise.

The dark coal locks of Harold Prince were littered with white flecks of snow. Harry's golden hazel eyes looked out the window, his hand running through his hair. He heard a door open, giddy emerald green eyes of Spartan came into his view. Harry smirked as the tall male was pushed out of the way. A grumpy Raven coming into the room. His metallic grey locks and grumpy hazel blue eyes. He had a scowl on his face.
"Can't you be quiet for once?" Raven muttered lowly. His black trench coat wrapped tightly around his frame. A dark purple sweater underneath.
"Geez, okay grumpy" Harry mumbled, watching Spartan jump up off the floor. The dark mocha haired boy ruffling his hair, a small side smile on his lips.
"Should we go see the girls?" he asked. Harry shrugged his shoulders.
"Sure, but Bella's probably gonna hit us over the head with a fucking lamp"
"Maybe to you," Sparty winked, walking out. Raven rolled his eyes.
"I'm going to bed," he murmured. Harry raised a brow.
"Don't fall asleep lunch is in twenty minutes"
Raven threw his hand up, signalling Harry he heard him. Harry tilted his head before walking out the door after Spartan. As they left the cabin and began walking along the cement pavement, Harry's eyes studied the scenery. Mountains, trees and lots of snow.
They were practically isolated from society. Harry scratched the back of his head; he had a weird churning feeling in his gut. Like something bad was gonna happen. Something, really bad. His eyes blinked as they watched Spartan bounce up the stairs. Harry heard the pitched shrieks of the girls as Spartan basically crashed the door down.
Harry stood outside arms crossed, he was surprised to see Spartan dragging Lucky and Celia out of the cabin. Bella following him, shouting nonsense at him. Darcy was there to, watching in worried curiosity.
"Let's go Harry!" Sparty shouted, trying to run with the two girls in his arms. Celia squeaking in fear and Lucky barely hanging on, like a cat being hugged by its humans and it just sits there- knowing there's no escape.
"Sparty get back!" Bella shouted, running after him. Darcy also walked out of the cabin; Raven was now at Harry's side. Tired eyes watching the chaotic scene. Raven face palmed.
"The hell…" he mumbled.

The group of seven were currently walking through the trails in the woods. They were currently given the task of orienteering; it was to get them to know the place and understand where things were. Bella currently had the map; Raven had a compass and Lucky held the stamp device thing.
She wasn't an expert on this kind of thing.
Lucky stared intently at the device in her hands, the light shining off it and bouncing inside her eyes. She growled. Passing it to Harry.
"You, Darcy and Bella are better at this than me," she mumbled. Harry smirked.
"C'mon Lucky! You just gotta give it some time to get used to!"
"I think I'll pass," she responded. Harry chuckled.
Bella was up front, Celia walking beside Raven. The two were incredibly close, almost like a brother and younger sister. Bella's ice blue eyes watched the map cautiously, were they even going the right way?
"Hey, Raven? Which way is the needle pointing again?"
"Uh, east?"
"East!? I thought you said west?"
"Well, I thought it said west?"
Bella sighed. Turning around. "C'mon, we gotta head back the other way and head west. No wonder I thought we were lost"
Celia huffed. "But my feet sore!"
"Stop whining!" Raven scolded gently; Celia made a fake crying face. Bella rolled her eyes in a playful manner.
The group turned and began walking the way they had come. Darcy crossed her arms, the snow crunching beneath her feet. The ground was lightly peppered with the stuff. Patches of dirt still peeking through.
Darcy heard something crack in the distance. She stopped, turn her head and looking through the woods. She furrowed her brows. The hell?
"Did you guys hear that?" she asked softly. Lucky nodded.
"Yeah, it sounded like someone's following us…"
"Don't be stupid guys!" Bella said, hand on her hip. Map in the other hand. "Look we just gotta go back and go west and we'll be back at camp. Then we can have dinner and go to bed!"
Celia nodded. "R-Right…" she gulped. Celia was known for being easily set off; she was a meek girl. Weak and quiet. Shy and easily frightened. The kind that could easily be terrified of her own shadow.
As the group began to walk footsteps resounded in her ears, she swore someone was following them. She saw something move quickly out of the corner of her. Anxiety slowly creeping up her spine, she felt her hands tighten around her form.
Raven heard something snap ahead of them. "Bella," he commented. Bella stopped, there was no denying it, everyone heard that. There were the sounds of footsteps running through the forest, branches swinging back and forth. Then there was a loud scream. Bella's face paled, Lucky grabbing her by the arm.
"Bell?"
Bella's brows furrowed, taking a step forward. From a large tree, something came around and grabbed her. Bella screamed along with the others.
"Bella!!" Lucky screamed, throwing out her hand. Sparty right behind her.
"YOU'RE A BLOODY ASSHOLE!" Bella's voice sounded aggressive. She flung out of the tree; her hair frazzled. Her eyes pits of fire. A loud cackle followed, Shaun and Alonso came out from behind the tree. Bella growled. Celia frowned.
"No funny guys!" Celia screeched; Lucky crossed her arms. She huffed, Spartan- resting his arm on Lucky's shoulder, deadpanned at the two males.
"Geez guys, chill! Your group was taking too long, so we came to find you"
Spartan raised a brow, "Speaking of groups, where's yours?"
"We're here" Sparty looked over. Three other teens coming out of the bushes. A chestnut
Haired female- Sophia, a small petite Asian female- Alice, and a blonde tall and lanky boy- Arthur. A stick nearby broke. Darcy crossed her arms.
"Oh, hah hah guys,"
Shaun looked over at the woods. "That wasn't us"
Bella rolled her eyes. "Yeah right, sure it wasn't you"
"No, really. That wasn't us" Shaun seemed serious, if that was even possible. Lucky furrowed her brows, scoffing. Shaun looked at her.
"Look, (Your name), I'm being serious!"
"Suure," Lucky replied. Bella stepped away. Rustling resounded through the air, it came closer and closer. Something shot out from the bushes and tackled Alonso to the ground. The two tussled, before the threat received a harsh kick to the head. It raced off, growling.
Celia screamed; Lucky's eyes were wide. They heard more rustling, logs snapping now. Rocks being flown into new unknowns. Shaun helped Alonso up and from there it was a stampede. They were all running.
Bella, Harry and Darcy were in the lead. Sophia and Alice the last ones. The sound of snarls and rustling bushes, snapping twigs and pounding feet, the scared breath of her friends and classmates, the rocks flying and the snapping of teeth, the stench of blood and grunts of pain.
A horrendous cacophony of pain and fear. And then as they entered the camp, the noises stopped. It was silent. Deadly silent. Camp coordinators and their teachers ran up to them.
"What happened!?" Mr Juppepy shouted in worry. He looked at Alonso, scratch marks covered his body. Nothing heavily deep but wounded enough to hurt him.
"Th-There was something in the woods sir!" Sophia cried; Celia was almost on the brink of tears. Hyperventilating ever so slowly. Bella rubbed her back. Giving her a hug, comforting her. Lucky was still attached onto Sparty and Harry and Raven were as frazzled looking as the rest o them.
"What do you mean?"
"Something came out of nowhere and attacked Alonso, it left but- it chased us out!" Darcy explained, pointing down the trail they had come. Mr Juppepy looked at them all with concerned eyes. Troy, the main camp coordinator, spoke up.
"Me and some others will go down to see if we can find anything, if you take Alonso to the main hall- there'll be a med kit where we can clean those wounds" Mr Juppepy nodded motioning Shaun and Alonso to the hall.
Celia was still shaky.
They all were.

The night was silent. Lucky was laying on her bed, her arms on her belly. She couldn't sleep. Her mind wouldn't let her. It kept spinning and spinning. Fish in a tank, swimming around and around… or maybe horses on a merry go round. They move up and down, spinning around. To the beat of carnival music and the children's laughter.
But they never went anywhere.
No matter how fast they ran, no matter how hard they tried to get caught up in the laughter and bliss. They were stuck in the same place they had always been they were always stuck running the same loop.
Her thoughts were like that.
She always ran and ran. Only to end up nowhere. She just spun her herself in circles, her thoughts an endless road to nowhere. She sighed, her pyjamas and sleeping bag the only thing keeping her warm from the cold air.
She closed her eyes, facing the wall. Something felt oh, so very wrong. She hated it. She felt sick.
She felt the same way she had when she moved to her new school. She had moved from out of state, new state, new house, new school, new life. She didn't know anyone, and she was lonely. She left her previous friends and family because her dad couldn't handle it.
He forced her too.
She sighed, closing her eyes.
If she could sleep, she might be able to push past everything.

The sound of glass shattering woke you. You sucked in a deep breath, sitting up. You heard thundering off footsteps down the hall then the door to your room was bashed in. The guys sprung into the room, slamming the door close. Celia screamed.
"What the hell!?"
"Quick, get down. We need to barricade the door!" Raven ordered. Celia jumped off with her blanket, Spartan dragging you off your bed. Raven and Harry grunted as they pushed and lifted the bed over to the door.
"Spartan! A hand!?" Harry growled, Sparty rushed forward- helping with the load. Bella and Darcy were up now.
"What's going on?" Darcy asked.
"I'm losing my fucking mind!" Harry shouted. "Bella, Darce, help me with this" The desk was moved away from its position under the window and one of the thick mattresses took its place, the bed being slowly moved to cover it. The desk had been pulled over to the cupboard.
Lucky stood there; her eyes wide. The hell was going on!?
"What, is, happening!?" Lucky screeched, Raven turned.
"Haven't you heard? The three camp coordinators that went out into the woods, were found dead! Completely and brutally massacred, they think it was some fucking weird animal. Everyone's gotta go into lock down!"
"Then why are you here!?"
"Because Alonso was starting to freak someone out" Raven grumbled, turning to Sparty.
"I wanted us all to be together, in case something hits the fan!" Sparty protested, "I also didn't feel comfortable around Alonso…" Sparty admitted, rubbing his arm.
Something began to bang on the door. The rhythm was low and harsh. Drawn out and daunting. Then it turned to terror as the door begin to bang and bang. The sound growing louder and louder. The banging of the door was in your ears, it was the beating of your heart as it grew and grew. Celia screamed as the wood began to break.
The carousel was spinning to quickly, the horses flying off the rails. They were finally being set free, or so you thought it would. But you were wrong, so very wrong. The carnival music was fading in and out. Glitches and spasms causing your heart to grow in fear and your lung have a seizure. Your throat closing to prevent any screams leaving you.
Then you saw those ghastly blank white eyes.

Your eyes snapped open, flying forward you huffed. Panting heavily. Your mind blank from your slumber. You didn't know why you felt so much fear coating your body. But you did. You couldn't recall the dream or nightmare or any reason that you were scared whilst in your slumber.
But then you heard glass shattering and the thundering of footsteps. Your door swung open and the guys fell in. Why did it feel like you had already been here and the fear you were feeling, what was it so familiar?
