NOTHING'S IMMORTAL. NOT EVEN ARIA HERSELF
Luna grunted as slid across the ground. Slamming a knife into the wood, she gritted her teeth and looked up. A man stood tall, watching her. His hands raised, she leapt to her feet. Furrowing her brows. She wasn't a beta for no reason!
She jumped up, her dim yellow eyes growling in agitation. The man in front of her took a step forward, the two beginning to circle. Luna's eyes flickered to the autumn blur that was Hessy. Jumping across the tabled surfaces inside the other room.
She growled as two people enclosed on her, her eyes swinging to every side of the room. She sent her foot out and collided with the chest of one. Sending them flying into the other room. She leapt of the table and ran straight into the man.
They fell to the floor. Sliding out of the room and into the room with the big table. She got up and ducked a swinging fist, gripping the arm and pulling it. She threw the woman into the wall. She grunted as a huge kick
was sent to her side. She shouted out as she fell back. A large bruise beginning to form. She looked up, narrowing her eyes. She rolled backwards, her feet colliding with the wooden floor. She bolted up and ran forward. She ducked as a knife swung her way and bolted into his legs. Taking him to the floor. She rolled out of the room.
She heard someone grunt and something fell against her. She squealed as she was squashed underneath a large frame.
Hessy growled out. Eyes locking with the man, he spun around to get a hold of her and Hessy copied his actions. Ending up on top of him. She pulled her hands back, ignoring his nails that dug into her skin. She sent her hands down, her own slicing at his face. She pulled her fist back and sent it down with as much force as she could muster.
As her fist collided with his face, his head was sent into the wooden floor. Fear coated Hessy's eyes, coated her veins and was clouding her mind. She felt the veins bulge and grow up her arms. Taking over her skin. She looked to her hand and saw it. She gasped and stumbled back. The man's mouth was bleeding now.
He was given a hand to get up and the three stood there, watching the two younger wolves. She growled. She felt her instincts flood her mind and the beating of her heart filled her ears. Then it happened.
She looked at Luna whose eyes were worrisome and standing in front of her with a knife, teeth barred at the people. Hessy closed her eyes and when they opened, she wasn't the same. Her paws scattered on the floor; her muzzle barred revealing rows upon rows of sharp teeth.
Hessy growled, the dim yellow eyes that belonged to her wolf flickered with aggression. She felt her claws unsheathe themselves from her padded paws. Her ears flat. Luna watched the wolf, before turning back to the men and woman.
She could see surprise and fear coat them.
They'd never seen anything like them before. Luna growled and ran forward. Sent her leg flying, it was caught by a man and she was thrown against a wall. Breath knocked from her lungs for a moment, she regained herself and stood up. Running with the speed of Aria's light and ran shoulder first into the man.
The wolf barked and took off. Ready to slash something. The man ducked and the woman backed away. They heard a loud cry of pain and the other man was sent flying across the floor. Knife deep into his side. He cursed as he watched the blood slowly pouring out of the wound. He looked up and saw another wolf amongst the chaos. Two wolves and both aggressively watching them.
'Let's go!'
Luna's voice ordered and Hessy bolted to the side. Running through the room and leaping out of the open window they had come through. Luna following without hesitation. The wolves bolted into the foliage, the bushes flashing against their coats.
The autumn wolf slid to a stop and her eyes watched the bloodied scene before her. She backed away. Luna ran into her backside, yelping as she collided with Hessy. Luna was confused and her head poked around.
Her eyes widened, wider and big than the full moon. She flattened her ears and looked amongst the clearing. Blood was everywhere. And the scent whacked her in the face, worse than being wacked with a thick tree branch.
She narrowed her eyes. She could smell the blood of more of her pack.
'Solarus, Silver, Dapple and... Emmy!?'
Luna and Hessy immediately looked at each other, fear and pain crossing their faces. Luna gulped and her wolf whimpered out as she sniffed the area. There were unknown scent trails throughout the place. Then she smelt it.
Wolfsbane...
'I smell it too'
Luna looked up at Hessy's voice. The autumn wolf lowly stepped over the grass. Avoiding the blood. She sniffed the air and ignored the bells screaming in her mind. She spun around and her back leg stepped back, and something snapped. She screamed loudly as something gnawed at her flesh.
She bounced out a metal trap grabbing onto her leg. She screamed as it began to burn her skin. She tried to pull it off, but the metal jaws ripped further and further into her skin. Luna leapt forward, trying her best to open the damn thing. She snapped at it, screaming as the metal burned her like Lamia's infection.
Luna growled as her skin kept burning, she whimpered as Hessy fell to the floor, trying to pull her leg out. She felt tears, slowly fall down her face. Hessy's fur left her body and the amber haired girl found herself on the floor. She looked down at her hands. She was getting better at trying to control it. She screamed out as her hands went to clamp on the metal trap and pull it open.
It burnt at her hands and she fell back, tears falling out of the corner of her autumn eyes. Luna barked in aggravation at the trap.
That's when footsteps erupted. Luna looked up and saw them. Three masked figures, only one of them she recognised. She growled and returned to trying to open the trap. Hessy pulled at her leg. Screaming as it continued to burn, she looked back as she heard footsteps and saw them approaching.
'GO!'
'What!? NO! I'm not leaving you!'
Luna growled as they approached, barring her teeth. Her tail lowered between her legs, revealing her scarce nature. She backed away as they approached. Hessy, yanked at her leg. The metal pulling at her flesh further.
"Don't pull at it. You'll make it worse" a calm female voice met her ears. Hessy's head snapped to the side, her leg still burning away as the metal snatched at her. The woman, she assumed as it was the voices owner, knelt down and her hands grabbed the metal and opened it. Hessy leapt forward, but immediately fell down. Whimpering as her leg bled freely. She growled as a twitching man approached her, luminescent orange goggles glowing under the shades of the trees.
Luna watched a white masked man approach her, slowly. Luna felt the sun lower and the night coming onto her. It was slow but seemed to be going faster than the spread of Aria's dawn. She heard Hessy's voice reverberate in her mind.
'(Your name), go! Run! Come back for me if you want... but I won't be able to heal fully until the full moon. I'll just slow you down. Find Phayia or Onus... they'll surely help us'
'I'm not leaving you to fend them off Hessy-'
'You're going whether you like it or not. GO!'
Luna backed away, watching Hessy's eyes. The autumn haired girl nodded, reassuring the beta of her decision. Luna closed her eyes and spun around bolting into the woods. She heard footsteps follow and she ducked under a large pile of logs and dug deep down into a small cave. Barely big enough to fit her large wolf body. She hid herself beneath the darkness. Watching the footsteps stop, and the man look around. He growled out before turning around.
He walked back into the clearing and saw the amber haired girl sitting on the ground, narrowed eyes and heavy breathing. She growled. Pushing herself back. She screamed as she was tackled by Toby and they rolled on the ground. Toby pinning her down. Her leg was butchered pretty bad and Masky watched as Toby gripped her throat.
The girl gasped for air and her eyes widened. Toby began to bang her head on the ground, the girl choking out in pain as her head collided with the earth. Blood oozed from behind her head and Masky sighed.
"Toby, enough. If she loses anymore blood, we'll lose her"
Toby smirked as her eyes dulled and they drooped. Her hand let go of him and fell back. He leapt off her and crouched down, tilting his head and watching her with a psychotic glee. Masky walked over and picked her up, holding her bridal style. Kate crossed her arms and looked deep into the woods.
"She's lucky she didn't run into the Rake yet..."
"H-Heh... w-would've been f-f-fun to see her tr-ry and fight it off"
Kate narrowed her eyes at him, and they began to walk. The girl still struggling in Masky's grip he growled and threw her over his shoulder. She grunted as she landed on her shoulder and was strapped down further.
She threw her hands at his back and began to curse.
"!ti pots ,ekas s'airA roF !won thgir nwod em tuP"
Masky froze, his head slowly turning. The hell did she just say? Kate stopped and her brows furrowed.
"Umm..."
"...naihtyM kaeps t'nod uoy ...thgiR"
"Y-You gotta sp-speak English p-princess!" Toby chimed, kneeling and looking directly at her. Blood oozing out of her head. He could see the weakness take over her body and he chuckled. Tilting his head to the side.
"English... not... good" she responded, Toby's response was a dry chuckle.
"Well, in-interrogating you's g-g-gonna be fun!" he chirped, smirking as her face paled. She growled out and began to struggle, hissing as her injured leg banged against Masky's side. She barred her teeth and went to bite down. Toby knocked her in the face with his blunt end of his hatchet, sending her flying off his shoulder.
She yelped as the metal object collided with her face and grunted as she hit the ground. Masky stumbling forward from the shift in weight. His eyes turned to glare daggers at Toby.
"The fuck did you do that for!?" he shouted angrily. Fists clenching and Hessy could sense the vibes radiating off them. She laid down and dared not to get up, not like she could. She watched as the female stood in between them.
"Quiet down, both of you!" she snapped. Masky knocked her hand away, marching to the werewolf. Her head dazed and she felt the world spin. She felt rough hands grab her and she felt her head roll back.
"...ekas s'airA roF"
Masky chuckled drily. He seemed actually amused by her state. Hessy huffed and her eyes rolled back. Her head falling to the side. For the love of all that is holy, may Aria's light rain down and save her soul. "Fucking resilient thing, aren't you?"
Toby's face met her eyes, luminescent orange goggles hiding dark and cruel hues. He smirked as he watched the colour drain from her face, her eyes almost following suite. The dim yellow lost itself in a pool of amber. He tilted his head and heard Masky grumble.
"What the hell are you doing?"
"T-Trying to f-figure something out" he answered curtly. Furrowing his brows as he thought. Walking backwards whilst Kate and Maksy walked slowly in front of him. Masky barely keeping any last remnants of sanity within him.
*||* it's all bark and no bite *||*
Hoodie walked through the abandoned building, his mask covering his face- even though his face would be perfectly hidden due to the darkness that surrounded the place. He turned a corner and headed down the stairs.
Narrowing his eyes knocking on a door.
After a few moments it opened, and a familiar blue mask came through. They stood still for a moment, neither say much. Before the brunette male stepped away. Allowing Hoodie to enter the room. He watched as Jack stepped around a large table.
A woman's body sprawled across it. Jack sighed and Hoodie took careful steps towards it.
"So?" Hoodie asked, looking up. Jack scoffed.
"I can't believe you lot went after werewolves"
"We didn't go after anything" Hoodie responded quickly. Jack's brow raised.
"What?"
"We found them like this. I usually wouldn't care to deeply, but there's been an influx in trespassers. And they all came from the south side of the forest. The side where no one comes through and there's been intriguing things occurring since their arrival"
"Right," Jack answered, sitting on a rusting stool.
"You said they were werewolves?" Hoodie asked, brow raising Jack nodded.
"Indeed, the yellow eyes kinda give it away. Though it could easily be a setra, but the difference is in the flow. Setra eye's glow bright yellow, psychotic and dangerous. Werewolves hold a dimmer colour, ominous and calm. The further giveaways would be the veins and the burnt skin from the silver"
"Silver?"
Jack stopped and looked up. His eyeholes not giving away the "are you kidding me" look he was currently giving Hoodie. Jack looked down.
"Slender gives you information on the Ethelmore and Phoenian wars but doesn't bother to enlighten you on the Mythical that served during it?"
Hoodie sighed and stood closer to the table. Watching as Jack started to point at intrusions through the body.
"This larger one here was caused by a wooden weapon, I found a splinter stuck deep inside of it. It would've caused an infection and needed to be removed later on. The other smaller holes are bullet wounds, the bullets themselves still stuck inside. They were made up of pure silver, leaked in a substance called wolfsbane. I found it in just about all of them. It's used to weaken a werewolf and their supernatural healing properties and that pretty much sums up the others, they were all found with similar symptoms. But only one was found with a less Mythical point of death"
Hoodie cocked a brow. "Which would be?"
"She fell off a high place and died upon impact"
"I'm guessing that was the child,"
"Indeed,"
"How many did you find?"
"Well, Masky and Toby ran into a group of about five. Whilst Kate and I found another two"
"I'm surprised to see them though"
"How so?"
"Well, people have thought for them to be extinct"
"Extinct?"
"Hunted out years and years ago, their numbers dwindled during the Ethelmore War and any wolves in this dimension were slowly being hunted by a dangerous group of individuals. It's their life goal to erase every mythical creature they could find. Whether it destroy their own world in the process. They preached a salvation and a cleansing that could only be achieved by hunting whatever got in their way. And the Mythical were standing in their way,"
"What could this mean?"
"It means that the world is slowly falling apart, I'm sure Slender will have something to say about it when he finds out the Trappers are hunting the last of the werewolves to send them into extinction for good"
"Master will want to see them?"
"Maybe, or he'd at least shelter them in the forest"
"He's only ever done that for the allies though. Even then, he doesn't usually allow them to just enter without a proxy or escort"
"Remember that if any one of his allies were under threat, he'd open the forest to them for shelter, of course, it doesn't happen often because he wants the best of the best. But I think this extend outside a werewolf's abilities"
"What would make them so special? Aside their purpose in the wars that happened before any single one of us walked the earth?"
"You underestimate a werewolf's power. When they were in full swing, they were some of the most formidable creatures to walk the earth. I wouldn't be surprised if Slender wanted them as allies"
"Would you come with me then? Back to the woods and help me clean up this situation?"
"As if I'm going to leave you lot to deal with this" Jack answered standing. "As much as I'd love to see Slender mad, I don't want him affecting me or what I do"

Phayia heard footsteps and as she saw the stupid face approach her, she sent out her good leg and it collided against Borneo's thigh. He crashed to the ground and cried out. Phayia breathed out.
"That's for throwing me into these bushes! What in Aria's name is wrong with you!?"
"I'm sorry, we had to lose them, and you were slowing us down!"
"I'll slow you down in a minute!" Phayia snapped back. Tifu giggled stiffly and Amarra suppressed the chuckled rising in her throat. Daswin rolled his eyes at his twin and looked through the bushes. His eyes went back to Phayia's leg. It was slowly healing; the bleeding had stopped at least. He bit his lower lip. The moon already risen in the sky.
He felt anxiety flood him once more. He tasted the metallic scent of blood, whoops. Bit a bit too hard there. He furrowed his brows and sat down.
"We'll rest here, once the sun rises. Hopefully, I'll have healed better and we can head out"
*||* it's all bark and no bite *||*
Lykos ducked behind a tree. Hooves ran past him, Lykos furrowed his brows growling lowly. His steel new moon eyes turning to their ominous red. He watched Onus perch himself onto a tall branch. Looking down. Solitaire hidden behind a large boulder. The three males enclosing on their prey. The group of three Trappers dismounted. Beginning to set up camp.
Lykos snarled inaudibly as he moves silently across the dirt. Her felt the veins beneath his skin flood with an animalistic aggression, he felt rage bubble inside of him as he approached. His eyes flickered up to see Onus scaling across the branches.
The males slowly stalked forward.
Onus struck first.
He leapt from the tree branch and fell down. Taking a large buffed Trapper male with him. The other two stood up in alert and Lykos bolted forward. Grabbing one by the neck and taking him to the ground. Solitaire busted out and ran into one. They fell into the dirt and tumbled across the ground.
Solitaire grunted as he felt an elbow collide with his jaw. He gasped as the male spun around and sent a fist down onto his face. Solitaire's head snapped to the left as the fist collided with his cheek. He felt another punch land on him, again and again.
Lykos grabbed a wooden stake from the Trapper's coat and pulled it back ramming it into the male's skull. He screamed in pain as the wooden object dug into the flesh. He breathed out harshly and his head snapped to the sound of a neck snapping.
His head spun and watched Onus and his own foe. Both men had numerous cuts and bruises. The largest Trapper had a five long slash marks over the side of his bald head. Onus' boot having collided with his throat. Onus continued to stomp down on the male's face. Again, and again and again.
A disturbing satisfaction overcame him. Was he truly the monster people thought him out to be? Was he truly a blood thirsty creature who wanted nothing more than for others to suffer for his own satisfaction? No... NO! No, he wasn't doing this because he wanted to! He was doing this because he had to. For them. For all of them. For all the lives they took away, for all the Mythical they made suffer in a dark and dank Tartarus they were forced into.
Lykos grabbed the coat of the Trapper on top of Solitaire throwing him off and to the side. Solitaire rolled onto his side, fingers gently grazing against his bruised jaw. Swelling occurring along with a bleeding nose. Solitaire grunted.
The Trapper loaded his crossbow and fired a wooden stake. Lykos leapt out of the way. The wooden projectile lodging into a tree. Lykos furrowed his brows and his blood red eyes narrowed. His veins grew darker against his skin.
"I'm not scared of you," Lykos snarled stalking forward. The Trapper male barred his teeth, his eyes widening as anger flooded him. "I'm done being afraid of you. You should be fearing us! Our kind fought in some of the most dangerous battles that have faced Aria's people and you dare try and hunt us out?"
"Lykos, what are you doing...?" Solitaire mumbled. His eyes flickering to his alpha. Onus helping the ginger omega up. Solitaire stared, long and hard.
"I'll be sure to send you and your stupid excuse of an "organisation" back into the dark ages where you belong! Back to the Malformed Kingdom and once there, you'll wish we would've sent you to Tartarus"
"Save me your speech demon!"
"Says the one who takes orders from Lamia's confidant"
"Don't bring your pathetic excuse of a religion into this!"
"Don't bring your pathetic excuse of a life into our homelands!" Lykos roared, his hand striking down on the Trapper.
"Lykos, enough. Just kill him already and let it be-" Solitaire felt a hand in front of him. His eyes met Onus'. The man shook his head slowly.
"Don't get into it, trust me" Onus mumbled. Solitaire nodded his head, stepping back. He grabbed Solitaire and they wandered off. Leaving Lykos alone.
"Shouldn't we stay behind; in case something goes wrong?"
"It's Lykos, he'll growl at us through pack link if something goes awry"
"..." Solitaire remained quiet but followed his superior.
Lykos began striking his fist down on the Trapper. Thoughts consuming him and raw emotion covered his heart. His logic. His instinct was crying out in pain, clawing at the edges of his mind. Lykos screamed as his fist collided with the Trapper's face one last time. Blood coating his fits. Lykos leant his head back, looking up to the moon in the sky.
His hands fell to his sides, drips of blood. Slowly trickling down his neck. He gulped drily, his eyes looking for any answer he could find in the moon.
"Is this what you want?" he breathed out; his voice was quiet, shaky. For the first time in his life, he felt scared and uncertain. For the first time in his life, he didn't know what to do. He was terrified. All his life he was so certain and so confident about himself and his arrogance grew every day.
He treated his beta horribly; he was embarrassed of her. But every time he called her a child or a weakling. It was just a way of denying the true thing inside. The fact that he didn't have control over his life.
Over what's going to happen to them all.
"Are you happy with this!? With all of us being slaughtered like animals, women, children. You fought the darkness so we could live by your side and you leave us here to die like dirty mutts. We did everything you've ever asked of us, we put ourselves forward for you and you repay us and let us have sanctuary only for us to be cornered and enslaved! What do you want from us now? For another war to begin amongst all the packs. For enemies to come together and fight the biggest threat of all!? I'm afraid you're late to the ball! Just about every Mythical's wound up dead or captured by them, we have no soldiers. We have NOTHING!" he screamed. He looked like a mad man. This he knew, but he needed to let it out.
He couldn't order his wolves onto one path and stick to it. He was losing lives left right and centre. He needed to seek help from the other packs. But before he could find the other packs, he had to organise his own. Find his beta, find Limphayia and her own group.
If they were even still alive at this point.
