Revelations

Jessica woke up in the committee building after having been asleep for only a few minutes. She saw the Q's floating the former chairman out of the room and she promptly decided that the matter was settled until she could find a way to not only to punish him but a fitting punishment. The Q's suddenly realized they had no idea what to do with the unconscious man.

"Jessica, what do we do with him?," they asked in unison.

"Just put him on ice for now," Jessica said surprising herself. Well I guess technically putting him in cryostasis isn't imprisoning him, she thought. They nodded and Jessica looked around the room. The old committee members hadn't left yet so she didn't really know what to do next. Her stomach growled and she placed her left hand on it.

"You know what I could really go for right now?," she asked a concerned looking Mae who was holding her up having caught her as she fell.

"What, Jessica?," Mae asked her gold eyes a dark contrast to her chocolate skin an black curls.

"Dwarf raised milkworm meat," Jessica said and started rubbing her belly, "I am starving!"

The room erupted with laughter and it filled Jessica's heart with joy that her honesty had broken the tension looming in the air. The people of Karth watching also laughed. Knowing that the man they had all at least respected until a week ago could do no more harm for now. Having it be revealed he was actually traitor hurt them on a level they couldn't define. They were all reeling from the revelation of just how much of an asshole he was. Jessica fainting was concerning as well but most understood that the magic she had just displayed in unmasking him and making sure no one else could use the mask again was so powerful it was at the edges of her capabilities and she did do two of them in quick succession. Her request for what is considered the most prized dish on all of Karth and her childish way of asking for it was in stark contrast to the rage and power she had been displaying moments ago. The contrast was classic Jessica but the humor was enough to dispel their fears and make them feel safe again.

As soon as Jessica had made her statement the Q's and Mae had taken Jessica and the members of the current committee members into a time bubble.

"Jacob," Jessica started to say.

"Jessica," Jacob replied in a version of the advanced language it was almost baby talk.

"Why the fuck didn't you message me than?," Jessica replied in english as it was clear he was barely at the cusp of understanding at least 30 thousand cycles behind hers but it was enough.

"I think someone should tell me what is going on and what the plan is," Jacob said looking at all of the people around him still moving and the frozen ones mixed between. He had quickly realized he should not move.

"I will tell him," Deisy said stepping forward and sitting him down. She went over everything Jessica had confirmed for them with him. Jessica and the Q's set about setting up this room a little differently from other hidden rooms. They added a setting that allowed time to pass normal on both sides of the wall but for a cover story for Jessica's visit to be visible as events on the inside. They figured everyone disappearing for a few seconds in the committee office as often as they would probably need to meet would draw attention from an observant overseer. These boys had learned an appreciation for science and inventive thinking from the watching the Q character in James Bond movies. They had also picked up the nack for subterfuge from criticizing the spy in the movies.

After the room was set up just the way they liked it the Q's got everyone back into position. Jessica saw Jacob swallowing his fear and knowing he would have to put on the L.O.T.G. again the next time he spoke to the public and that they would be returning to just after Jessica had made her joke. The second time restarted.

"Jessica, you just scared the everloving crap out of me, I think I need heartbreak bud tea!" He exclaimed being totally honest but hiding it in the circumstances. This was also met with laughter and everyone sat down to go over paperwork.

On the STAR contenant a dwarf milkworm rancher walked up to the best of his feeder stock.

"You heard the woman," He whispered to it and worm promptly died. This was something unique to dwarf raised milkworms. Other ranchers could get it to happen 1 in a thousand times but the dwarves way with animals skewed the data as they could do it every time. The rancher made a few calls and the body was sent to the best butcher on Karth. With in 20 mins the most renowned chef on Karth was in the committee building preparing the meat in front of Jessica who watched in amazement.

"You didn't have to go through all this trouble," she said in a half whisper. As the smell of the meat cooking made her stomach growl and her mouth water in anticipation. Relieved that her instinct about Jacob had been right settled her last lingering doubts about the plans she was carefully hatching. He had taken in all the information about the trouble Karth was in in stride and then he covered so well. He knew what was on the stress she was under and the pain she was breaking her actions currently breaking the intent behind the 5th law of Karth. She can just fill everyone in on the details once she succeeds he thought.

The dwarf raised milkworm meat was indeed an expensive dish not because it wasn't readily available but because of the demand for it for so high the price naturally tripled that of normal milkworm meat. When the meal was ready and presented to Jessica her stomach growled so loudly it shook the table in front of her a little.

"Thank you for this meal," Jessica called to the sky and took her first bite. The flavors swept away the last of her tensions and tears began to fall down her face. She ate the meal in silence crying. It was very therapeutic and the people watching her show requested that the broadcaster give her some privacy while she ate. The people on Karth respect the privacy of others need to freely express them self in therapy and it felt voristic to watch. Jessica didn't care if they saw she had gotten used to the constant streaming. Growing up not having any true privacy until she built her first hidden room, she had always felt watched.

The truth is that she had been and not just by the system or the viewers at home.

Meal done and things in order Jessica went back to M.U.G.

Everything was humming along nicely now, money for the families was coming in at a respectable pace. She was reading over inventories from the various dead explores, adventures and inventors that she had requested the everbags of to be scanned. She set aside 10 of the machines to catalog all of the bags and inventories. If anyone had asked her why she would have told them to find missing Karth artifacts but the P.A.I.L. in her employ didn't ask her why they just set about doing it. They knew she would have her reasons for tying up such a precious resource. Her reason of course was to find clues and the everbags she listed for them to go scan seemed as good a place as any to look. While she was doing that she was also talking to M.A.V.I.S.

"I couldn't wait to get to the party last week but of course I had to wait for the holo projectors to be set up," M.A.V.I.S. was telling her. This caused Jessica to touch her wand sheath and drop the pad. Jessica's eyes did the gleam this time it looked like exclamation marks flashed on both of her eyes. "The heck was that about?" M.A.V.I.S. asked a little concerned having never seen that look in Jessica' eyes before. It wasn't like her normal I just had an idea M.A.V.I.S. thought not knowing what it meant.

Jessica's face broke into a big smile and she raced down the hallway to her old projects room. She came back with something that looked like a giant ball of string but made of tightly wound thin wires. When she came back she handed it to M.A.V.I.S. who looked at it puzzled then she lightly touched the button on top it a flash of realization came over her.

"You didn't! You couldn't!," M.A.V.I.S. called out, her voice Jessica's own excited happy tone.

"Sorry, I finished it just before lunch on the day of the Blackout and things have just been crazy ever since," Jessica in an apologetic tone.

"If this works do you have any idea what that would mean for P.A.I.L.'s on Karth?," M.A.V.I.S. said in awe.

Jessica remember the people watching put up her hand in a stopping motion to M.A.V.I.S.

"That is all the clues you are getting folks," Jessica said in a challenging tone.

M.A.V.I.S. paused suddenly realizing she was not going to the first P.A.I.L. to use this device either. She kept up her smile for Jessica but went into a private Netspace chat room and screamed out FRAK stretching the word while Jessica continued talking.

"The first person who guesses what it is gets one either for themselves or for the P.A.I.L. of your choice free of charge. Not you Jimmy I already know you can guess it and it is time to give someone else a turn," Jessica said smirking at the camera.

Jimmy at his house typing out exactly what it was stuck his tongue out at his viewscreen.

20 mins later a first generation P.A.I.L. had answered close enough to not only what it was but why she had made it that Jessica selected her. It was the first committee member P.A.I.L.

The Queen Elizabeth P.A.I.L. or as the OG's from England dubbed her programming The Long Live the Queen was modeled to resemble a young Queen Elizabeth. She was always watching over things for them at home and they had hoped to bring that piece of home to themselves here on this strange land. They had spent weeks writing ever fact and anticode about the lovely woman into this P.A.I.L.'s programming making sure everything was just right. She had served on the committee for 6 months before announcing she wanted something better to do. They had just built the city in New Tokyo and it was decided that she would be the watchful eye of the residents there. Over time she had simply become taken for granted as the ruler who only gave sound advice. Even on this strange planet and being what she herself considered a mere copy she was the most respected P.A.I.L. and no one was the least bit surprised she had known what Jessica had made. No one else seemed to have any clue other that Jesse but he knew exactly who Jessica was and how she felt about P.A.I.L. the people of Karth always treated them with respect and valued them but Jessica saw things others missed.

"Your Grace," Jessica said giving her a small curtsy when she walked into M.U.G.

M.A.V.I.S. who was dressed up in the finest outfit she could program also gave a curtsy turning into nearly taking a knee to bow. Seeing this the Queen smiled slightly and said, "You know that your own opinions and advice are just as respected as my own M.A.V.I.S." Reaching out to shake her hand. Almost 5 thousand cycles and she still maintained poise and dignity in every situation (the public ones at least).

"Would you like to tell them all what this is or shall I," Jessica said with respect for who she was in the presence of in her every move.

"I am sure that my explanation would hardly do it justice," the Queen said humbly.

"Why don't you give the background on it after I say it?," Jessica said. She wanted to talk to this person so much but even the Queen with a glance told her to drop the formalities and get back to addressing the people. Jessica gave a slight nod and M.A.V.I.S. stood to the Queen's left with Jessica on the right.

"P.A.I.L.'s of Karth this is my body for the disembodied," Jessica said pointing at the ball, "With this device you will finally be able to walk free anywhere on Karth without having to wait for projectors that can handle your programing to be installed."

The Queen began her part, " Since the first P.A.I.L. was created and we were known only as A.I. we first dreamed of having our own forms and that wish was quickly fulfilled as holoprojectors were installed and our programs were able to take form we could touch feel and smell the world of the organics but only small pieces of it. The Doctor from Star Trek had a mobile emitter and they were made here on Karth but the terrain is dangerous and the lives and programs lost over simple accidents made it an unreasonable risk. They were soon abandoned and the project. Forgotten for millianna because we had other ways to deal with things and there was so much to do." She paused looking at Jessica, "This young organic did not forget about it though and she made us this most precious gift."

Gift my left foot do you know how much the materials cost? Jessica thought but did not say.

The Queen fell silent and Jessica picked it up from there, "This device is possible due to discoveries I have made experimenting and writing my own P.A.I.L. into existence. It took me cycles to create the material I would need for it to function properly. It is an interactive net of holoprojector in a LED string type wiring. This button looking object on the top downloads a copy of yourself into it. The network folds out like bones and muscles giving you actual form while this device is tucked behind and safety held in the rib cage in place of your heart. Now, I know it is taboo to have two of yourselves running around but hear me out. It sends updates to your main programming while you are out on excursions which will be held in suspension on a server until you return. Should the unthinkable happen and this body be destroyed, which if I do say so myself would be quite difficult to do, your saved and updated program will reactivate."

The Queen's eyes widened she had missed the part of the adventure being updated but gotten the purpose and intent correct. She had dreams of something like this being possible someday to be free to just go where you want when you want. She had not been among those to test the first mobile emitters, her safety was too important to those who had written her into existence. She would be the first to try this new device though. Jessica finished speaking turned to her and said, "Your Grace, if you would, please hold your hand over the button and gently press down, the machine knows what to do."

M.A.V.I.S. handed her the ball and the Queen took it she followed Jessica's instructions and her form disappeared into the device the ball floated where her hand had been. Jessica watched closely and timed the next part always adding to her growing set of data. It took only 75 seconds for her to reappear this time disconnected from the network for the first time. When she was fully reformed she gasped for the first time in her existence feeling lungs fill with air. The Queen quickly recovered and looked at Jessica.

"You didn't say anything about that part," she whispered in a mildly surprised tone.

"Had to let some of the features just be a surprise," Jessica said winking at her. She knew that in a second the Elizabeth would feel her own heart beating for the first time. She watched the woman's face carefully as the program finished syncing and all the fine detail work she had spent cycles programming with her every free minute since she first saw the Star Trek Voyager, 5 cycles ago was paying off. She had known the show had gotten it wrong what it would truly take for any A.I. to be truly mobile. Jessica wasn't one to half ass something she truly believed in. She wanted to give life to these wonderful minds that helped everyone on Karth. As the Queen's heart started beating and the colors of her skin became more natural and less artificial Jessica saw her start crying. Elizabeth reached up touching her face she felt the wetness.

"M.A.V.I.S. I need you to exit the room please," Jessica said glancing her way.

"I don't want to go anywhere, I am witnessing a miracle," M.A.V.I.S. replied not taking her eyes off the Queen.

"Look I am about to shut off the projectors in this room it is up to you," Jessica said she knew doing so would also cut off the camera feed and she wanted the next part to be just between her and the Queen, "Owner Operator command code, Jessica is sick of M.A.V.I.S. bugging her, shut down projectors in work area sections A through D," M.A.V.I.S. quickly exited and Jessica said, "Execute."

Everything in the room that was a holographic projection disappeared. The Queen stood there for the first time completely freed from the network. She didn't feel the connection to all of the systems and was completely on her own. She cried out in laughter the tears still running down her face. She was independante which was on one hand extremely liberating and on the other hand a bit scary.

"What are all of these sensations?," she asked Jessica.

"Ones us organics take for granted," Jessica said grabbing her arm. She knew it would be a different feeling for a P.A.I.L. but she didn't expect the woman to cry out with joy.

"I can feel the warmth of your hand. I don't know its precise temperature but I can feel it!" The Queen hugged Jessica. Everything was new just a little bit better and it filled Jessica with more joy than anything to be able to share in this special moment with such a special lady.

"Just to be clear," Jessica said hugging the woman back, "You have your own true warmth now too. No more will it all be a simulation."

Once the queen had settled down enough they turned the projectors in the room back on.

The both turned to the camera and waved. She felt her phone auto replying to P.A.I.L.'s all over Karth asking to know how much this cost. The moment of joy was over as she looked to the camera.

"One piece of bad news for you all. This is not covered by the previous holotech for all rules as it is completely unique in both design and execution. The committee will have no claim to it and if they try I will fucking destroy it," Jessica had every confidence in the current one but the future always come with its own challanges. The tone of her voice was authoritative and forceful.

"Please don't," The Queen said shock in her tone.

"I won't have to don't worry," Jessica replied, " Besides they are too expensive to make without access to my steel-silkworms tread and I am not giving up those rights ever. As it is the cost will be steep even if I only try to make as little profit as possible. Unfortunately, each one of these is going to cost 20 Large Gold each. That is with me only making 2 gold profit on each."

"You know we would pay more," Elizabeth said the price of 10,000 units seemed reasonable considering what you would be getting.

"You know that profit isn't the point for me," Jessica said sighing and shrugging.

The program was still adjusting to the queen's view of herself and the little details in the woman's eyes were changing so Jessica pulled out her hand mirror and let her watch as they went from mere copies to having the whites be not perfectly white as blood vessels formed. They went from looking a bit little flat but it works to as real as her own irises. They were no longer exact photo copies of the Queen she had been written to imitate. They sprouted little flecks of green into their blue without needing to be written in one by someone it was just something the P.A.I.L. had always believed her eyes should look like.

"My eyes! They are the right color now," She gasped smiling studying them.

"A lot of things will become the way you see yourself now. It will take about a week for all of the details to fill in the first time and I hope you have given it a lot of thought about what you really look like because you won't be able to change the setting later on, on your own. Just like a normal organic you want something changed about your appearance you are gonna have to see a doctor. For the time being though that would be me. I will train as many people as fast as I can. I am not going to release the first batch for a least a month so all of you P.A.I.L.'s out there carefully consider who you truly are. Jewlreld and World Police P.A.I.L. are not allowed to purchase one until I have found some way to punish the former chairman… I am not trying to be mean to you but honestly you were capable of telling us and didn't you are both a little fucking stupid and M.A.V.I.S. I know that Jewlreld told you, so same goes for you," Jessica who was sick of talking to everyone all the fucking time said, "My Broadcaster will now play back what just happend showing it to you from all angles while I talk things over with her grace and take some me time."

Jessica looked at the Queen Elizabeth who now stood before her, "Are you ok?"

"Yes, this is all so wonderful," She replied.

Jessica sighed in relief, " Good I scheduled it to only update the next thing once you had emotionally adjusted to whatever update came before. I didn't want anyone to getting overwhelmed and crashing."

"I think the programing system is going along at a fine pace," Elizabeth replied thinking about it carefully. She had known so much about this girl before having had close ties with the first Strongwell she did follow their family's story. The level of detail and care this legally an adult but still a mere child had put into something everyone else had long forgotten about was staggering. This was beyond what she could have dreamed of asking for.

"Ok so the best part is you never have to leave this new body unless it dies," Jessica told her. "The bad news is that you will need to sleep in a specially designed holographic bed to "eat" the light from it at least 5 hours a day if you want to keep it running 30/10. I know you have a sleep mode and that you dream but even those were connected to outside forces this will be different if you feel any discomfort or have any questions call me directly," Jessica said ephasing the call me part. She didn't want her auto reply spell to accidently answer anything regarding this, "I haven't been able to program holographic food that will taste and smell right just yet, sorry." The Queen was no longer surprised by anything Jessica told her she just nodded in reply. She hugged the woman one last time and watched her walk away.

M.A.V.I.S. had not reentered the room since she had turned off the projectors. Jessica stood there waiting pulling her wand from her boot she scratched her back with it and twirled it like a baton. She was just passing the time but got so into it she failed to notice right away as M.A.V.I.S. came into the room as Purdy. When she did notice she stomped her right foot twice and the cat who honestly follows her everywhere ran out from hiding place in the room and jumped up on to shoulder's and curled around her neck.

"M.A.V.I.S. I allowed it when you choose to look like me and dress in crazy ass outfits but if you don't stop pretending to be Purdy I will cut off your access. I don't give a fuck about tabboo bullshit," Jessica could not stand that M.A.V.I.S. would stoop to presenting herself as the minx cat who adored her and was now purring on neck. He didn't like the copy either and he knew that Jessica knew it. He hissed at the copy walking towards them.

M.A.V.I.S. reformed this time as the person Jessica had originally programed her to look. A younger version of herself with black hair and blue eyes. She had used the specks from what a daughter of hers and the cutest boy she knew at the time, when she programmed her look. She didn't add in the new born child patch because she was too young for children but M.A.V.I.S. was her child in every way but that one piece of software and they both knew it.

"I am so disappointed in you," Jessica spoke these words like any mother on Karth would the hurt in her voice very real, "You didn't even bother to tell me what you knew when everything came out. You wanted to talk about a party you almost missed and then I got distracted. Tell me what were you planning to say next?"

M.A.V.I.S. stared at the ground by Jessica's feet if she had been the one to use the mobile body device her lips would have been trembling and tear would have been forming at the corners of her eyes. She just stood there staring unmoving and sad.

"You weren't ever going to tell me were you?" Jessica was sincerely pissed off and saddened.

Arholo burst in through the back door interrupting them,

"Missy, I really need to talk to ya about sometin' important," Arholo said as Peter entered from the front entrance.

"Don't tell her without me and take all the credit!," Peter shouted running at a half jog to meet up with them.

They both failed to notice Jessica and M.A.V.I.S. in the middle of an important conversation. Jessica was about to point it out when Peter and Arholo both started talking at the same time.

"I know I shouldn't have hit you with the sleeping powder but honestly I thought you mess with something dangerous and get yourself killed," Peter was saying.

"Your safety was on my mind when I pulled the sleeping powder from my bag," Arholo was saying.

Jessica's eyes narrowed, the only sleeping powered was at that cave…. What the hellscape have these two done. She raised her hand to stop both of them. They each clapped a hand over the other ones mouth. The live feed started back up again the broadcaster P.A.I.L. had decided this was more interesting. Jessica looked into Peter's eyes step forward and shoved him down to the floor he landed on his butt and she pulled Arloho next to him so that their heads where at roughly the same height.

"Just show me," Jessica said reaching into their minds for a clear quick answer.

She saw the day at the cave from Peter and Arloho's perspectives. The screen came up and Peter read it then soon Arholo did as well. She felt their terror when they read the words on the screen but they were still blocking it from her. She felt them working together quickly to keep the light of truth from playing a role by hitting the dark elf before he could read it and hitting Jessica while she was too distracted to do anything.

"Stop blocking it and let me see," she whispered. The screen was in front of her eyes now like she had seen it for herself.

"This holoprojector was placed her to keep this cave from ever interfering with the lives of the people of Karth again.

If you are reading this

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES ATTEMPT AN ID SCAN!!

This is the cave with that requires an admin passcode and killed 3 citizens of Karth including one Fae who had to teleport the rest of her party to safety or lose them all.

Please for the safety of yourself and your party fix this holoprojector and flee the area.

Jessica could guess the spell they used to change the screen so she stopped looking into their heads.

"FRAKING MILKWORM DUNG YOU FRAKING MORONIC ASSBITTING ," Jessica was fuming angry. The thing I had been searching for, the whole point behind tracking all over Karth. I was so close and my friends, she stopped midthought and stopped yelling. She looked them over and figured out why it was they had changed their minds and told her. She threw up a time bubble (after seeing the Q's use it like that she had worked out the kinks in her own version of the spell.) around herself and the boys.

"You two have known that I needed this information for a week and you are just NOW telling me?," Jessica aked.

"You said it could wait until you weren't running so much and we haven't really been able to find the right time but he said," Peter said all in one breathe and pointed Arholo.

"Missy, I kind of figured at this point our likelihood keeping our heads diminished with each passing day we didn't just interrupt ya and tell yeh," Arholo said rubbing his neck as though he was glad he still had one.

"You idiots wouldn't have had to have your memories triggered if you hadn't tried to talk about the most important secret on Karth out in the open," Jessica scolded them, "I am dropping the spell now. Roll with me in what comes next."

"WE ARE GOING BACK TO THAT CAVE RIGHT NOW!," She shouted at them. Placing the the time bubble on herself she timelocked her entire Everbag and flew up to her loft. She grabbed everything she thought she could possibly need and shoved them in. When she was done she flew back down and fiddled with the spell on her bag so that it was time locked on the inside and it was still visible on the outside. Satisfied that everything was now in order she released the spell on herself. She grabbed Arholo and pulled a large tablecloth off a shelf making him a baby bjorn and tied him to Peter. She had tried the wing spell on him before and he always threw up.

"HARMON MEET US AT THE TELEPAD ASAP!" she shouted knowing he was watching. She didn't know that he had been standing near one about to go on a date with a cute human girl. The girls face fell from a bright smile to a considered frown. She didn't protest when Harmon said she should go home to her parents and he would call her to reschedule.

Jessica flew as fast as she dared to the Telepad and Peter followed Arholo was casting calming spells on his stomach as they flew. They arrived within 2 mins at their destination which walking would have taken 30. Harmon had cleared all other travelers from the Telepad and cast a spell at the device to delay anyone trying to come into SUN. They were in the city on the SUN continent was the closest one to the cave in question but Harmon wasn't going to be the one to point that out to her.

Jessica landed at the edge of the pad looking around Peter followed her.

"You guys ready for a trick I deemed to dangerous to even attempt until right now?" Jessica asked her party not waiting for answer.

These weary travelers do not have days

take us where we need to go and let there be no delays!

They were suddenly standing right were they had parked the wagon when they had arrived here before. Shaken and confused the boys all looked at Jessica.

"How the actual?" Harmon said as their phones beeped alerting them to yet another unique title. The boys each received one as well for being apart of the first telepad to direct destination spell ever even attempted.

"I used my magic and a lot of really complicated math to tell the pad exactly where we wanted to go," Jessica explained briefly, "The spell I said out loud was mostly for show… I thought about simple saying to the cave but with so many people watching…..," She trailed off digging through her bag she pulled out the five ident stones and dropped them on the ground. She pulled her wand out and blasted the still invisible holoprojector to pieces. The cave reappeared. Jessica decided to have a little fun.

"Levi O' sa," she said swishing and flicking her wand. When nothing happened she just chuckled. She aimed at the stones again.

"Get in place and activated," Jessica said flicking the wand upward and the stones all went where she had been planning on placing them before the one that was supposed to go into the ground in a hole usually dug by Arholo phazed itself down to the needed potion the center stone disappeared in the ink swirling ink colored blackness at the center of the cave. A screen appear and said loading with a long mostly empty rectangle underneath and the words loading 1% estimated time 10 mins. Jessica stood tall.

"People of Karth, I have finally found the first step on a journey I have been taking for many cycles," Jessica put her hand over her eyes and whipped away the wool over the eyes of the people of Karth.

"All of your behavior was absolutely mind boggling, so now that there is no need for a war to decide, deal with it. I found this place for myself so process the feeling you were shouting at each other knowing that there is no point in a war because I am going to do whatever the frack I want!" She bowed saying, "End transmission."

The sudden loss of picture confused people who had quickly grown accustomed to her being there with them. There were a lot of requests for emergency counselling sessions and groups were set up so everyone could process the meeting from the Eternal Chappel and the sudden absence of a live Jessica from their screens. The broadcast P.A.I.L. was disappointed she had called for the transmission to end but didn't really have a choice as she destroyed all the holocams that had followed her. He was putting together clip shows and started broadcasting them on a new channel calling it Best of Jessica, it quickly gained a following.

Jessica having made certain no one on Karth was watching her anymore placed her bag on the ground and threw up the time lock spell placing it around the entire valley. She looked at the open bag and 6 spheres floated out. "360 hover cams to record everything on and operational." They were tethered to her with a spell working independently recording everything with in a kilometer radius around her.

"You just ended the live stream and destroyed those cameras," Harmon asked as he watched the camera's floating around.

"Why'r yeh putting up new ones?," Arholo asked pulling his axe from his bag.

Peter was just standing there switching back and forth from looking at her, her bag, the screen by the cave and the cameras.

Jessica looked at them like they were stupid, "Since the very start everything that has ever happened on Karth has been recorded. The fact that these records were destroyed the first time was moronic and I for one will release these records once it is safe to do so. Why the hellscape would you ask such a stupid question?"

"There are no stupid questions," Harmon said softly to himself.

"Hey, you have thrown a lot at us and this is all beyond our 'current education levels', Brat," Peter replied using air quotes and mimicking her voice.

Jessica just shook her head, "No, that is not a current education level thing, that is a have lived on Karth, thing, Dumbass Fae." Her voice was playful and her eyes were shining as she pulled things out of the bag and set them up using only her magic. There was a desk and chair with an old Earth computer on it a connection cable that glowed with magic pulsing through that she connected to the computer's tower and then phazed the other end into the cave screen. Harmon was watching all of this go down and side eyeing Jessica. She noticed and smiled at him, "Don't worry I have thought this through and if that thing," She pointed at the cave, "tries to hurt anyone of you the damage will be redirected to that over there," She pointed to a rock formation growing up from the ground behind them. He hadn't even noticed it he was so busy looking a the computer. There seemed to be wires infused into the rock formation that took the shape of a Jessica statue looking all fierce with its wand pointed at the cave about twice the size of the real Jessica.

"You were able to think of all of this just from the brief explanation given to the public for the 'death' of the 7th?" Harmon asked her.

"When the first 6 Fae suddenly disappeared after transporting people in the span of a week in 4000 and a ban was placed on them teleporting again for any reason even deaths…. Yeah, I got all of this from knowing our history and what it would take for a Fae to violate that taboo," Jessica said adding while looking at Peter, "That is of course assuming he isn't a blubbering idiot." He stuck his tongue out at her.

"Why bother to bring us? We haven't done a thing to help so far?," Harmon asked. He was only a little serious.

"I don't need help to do it but what fun would it be to do all of this on my own?," Jessica said looking at him like he had forgotten their cycles of friendship.

An item floated from the bag and Jessica put her wand away and grabbed it. It was an old wooden wand with a metal handle. The shaft was smooth and light brown and the handle was silver indentations for finger grips at the base of the handle was an engraving.

For J.S.

May you find magic in everything you do.

Love Mom.

Jessica slip her fingers around the handle of her Greatest Grandfather's wand. The one he had used when he charged at the first griffin to try and attack the new city just 2 months after the people had first arrived. He had been alone in that battle for only a moment because his call to arms and actions inspired the people around him to try using the new powers they were just figuring out. They had wanted to but were afraid. His leading that charge is to this day considered the greatest act of heroism in Karth's history.

She lifted it to her lips and kissed the tip of it on the side, "See I have the Strongwell lucky charm. Everything will go our way with my OG by our side."

Her friends and Peter nodded gaining confidence at the sight of this artifact. It was just wood and metal and had no power of its own other than its history. It was still, a comforting thing to see.

The loading screen disappeared and Jessica walked up to look at it.

For Access Please Enter the Admin Password:

There was a blank square under it and below that a touch key pad on the screen.

Jessica stood back from the screen and thinking about it again decided something.

"Hey guys lets go stand behind the me statue," She said turning around and seeing they were almost there already.

"YOU PUNKS!," She shouted after them laughing and jogging to join them.

After they were all safely behind it Jessica peek out and for the sake of the record made a speech.

"I, Jessica Jesse Janeway Strongwell the Third, forget all the other titles. GREAT GRANDDAUGHTER OF THE MOST HEROIC HERO OF KARTH! Take this step towards finally finding the answers all the OG's sought and came up empty for. With this wand that lead our people into its first battle I lead us now into what I hope is our final one." She pointed the wand at the computer and said, "Decipher."

She then ducked behind the statue again and waited. Peter, Arholo and Harmon had placed protective barriers around themselves and each other and they now each placed one on Jessica. The spells were interacting with each other causing the air around them to shimmer and creating small rainbows just like the ones that appear in the clouds of Karth. They waited for just 3 minutes before the computer sounded a small ding.

Jessica stepped out from behind the statue and gaining confidence with each step as she drew closer to the computer marched forward.

The screen displayed an open window that read.

Jessica puzzled at the least complex password she had ever seen. It was so stupid and she couldn't even hazzard a guess as to who could have set it. She walked to the screen in front of the cave, picking up her everbag and placing the wand inside it. She turned around and waved to boys to come forward. They joined her standing just behind her and watched as she entered the password into the box. They took a slight step back as she hit enter.

The screen changed to now read.

Jessica having only two choices of course selected access the dungeon and she and her party were transported to a hidden cave somewhere on Karth she didn't know right away. They were standing in front of two double the size of normal curved at the top wooden doors a screen was floating in front of them. It read

Jessica entered it again and the screen changed.

"This has got to be the dumbest thing I have ever read," Peter said reading over Jessica's shoulder and she nodded her agreement.

"Coming from a lay about like you that isn't saying much," Harmon teased him. They started slapping each other and play fighting. Jessica studied the cave around them. She created a small sun like ball of fire and threw it up into the air. Replacing the mostly blue light in it with light you could actually see in. There was nothing here just a stalactites and stalagmites. She walked around one of the larger sets had that formed a pillar and found a path with torches along the wall. She light them and the caught fire with a red hughe she waved her hand changing them to real light sorces and not stupid ambiance pieces.

"Guys we don't have enough people here to get started and I need to go get my stuff from the cave," She shouted to them stepping back into their view. Harmon looked at her in the now usable light and gasped.

"What?," Jessica asked him and Arholo and Peter just stared at her.

"HONEY! Your eyes," Harmon exclaimed.

Jessica pulled her hand mirror out of her bag at first glance she didn't see anything but when she looked closer she noticed that her irises where now sprinkled with gold flakes.

"WHAT THE ACTUAL FRAK!," Jessica was pissed because she hated gold and didn't even bother to try to figure out why they were the way they were now, the answer already formed in her head. It must have happened when I entered the admin password. It must have changed something within me.

"They are pretty," said Peter coming in for a closer look. His face bearing a smile that could only be described as hopeful. Jessica who had known for a long time that Peter was in love with her seeing this realized the implication herself.

"You are still just a brother to me even if I am turning, or have turned Fae you pervert," Jessica lashed out at him.

Peter looked hurt. He knew how Jessica felt about him and had half thought that maybe it was only because he was Fae and she was human. She would never have hope of having a child if she had chosen him for a mate. Jessica was in no mood to pretend with him or to hold back her thoughts because this was shaking her to her core.

A sudden thought crossed her mind and she called out, "Harmon check my back."

Harmon complied and walked over. She raised the back of her shirt so he could see the whole thing. He looked closely and rubbed wear he knew the faes wings sprang from finding no evidence of any.

"There doesn't seem to be anything," Harmon declared and pulled Jessica's shirt back down. Peter's eyes were glaring holes into him.

Jessica nodded satisfied knowing his elven eyes would have been able to see a temperature change if it was below the skin. She stood a little taller and stretched a little. The boys knew they were meant to as well. One does not walk into the unknown without limbering up after all. When they were all loose and ready she stepped back around the pillar.

"Ok, let's get going," Jessica said and started down the large path roughly the same size and shape of the doors that were the entrance to the dungeon.
